Wait, I want to rephrase that statement.

The Chargers didnt win the game, the Refs Lost it.

The Bolts moved on. Congratulations, and good luck. It'll take a lot of luck.

BigRock 01-13-2008 07:57 PM

Well, the Colts did give up a TD drive to Billy Volek and some backup RBs. I mean, come on. Do they actually want Dungy to retire?

1ChiefsDan 01-13-2008 07:59 PM

Congrats on the win. I was rooting for the bolts over prince peyton.

I dont hate Peyton at all, as Im sure most of you dont hate Brady.

BigMeatballDave 01-13-2008 08:00 PM

It was a nice team win for you guys. I guess it would have been different if Indy had actually shown up to play...

I don't hate either one. I'm quite envious, to be honest. I suppose I'd hate them if they were in our division.

Well with our Draft history, our pick may end up being better than yours.

GoHuge 01-13-2008 08:19 PM

I found myself rooting for the Dolts. I will say this, if Antonio Gates really has a dislocated big toe and played he is one bad mofo. I did that once and it hurts like hell. You can't push off or put alot of force on it or the pain is through the roof. I'm sure there are varying degrees of toe dislocations, but still man. He would have had to shoot that thing up before the game. One thing is for sure...that boy will be hurting once the lidocaine wears off. He's got my respect that's for sure.

I doubt it. Also, you guys don't even have a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round pick this year. You will probably get a 4th or maybe 3rd back for Donnie Edwards but your still getting no help from this years draft.

And with your draft history? The history of reaching for a crappy wide receiver like Craig Davis in the first round?

Bwana 01-13-2008 08:32 PM

Nice win today, enjoy it, because next week the Chargers are going to get abused.

How can you judge him after one year? I think he'll turn out to be good.

Just because we didn't draft D Bowe this year, I would say our other draft picks were better than the rest of yours.

noa 01-13-2008 08:38 PM

I was surprised at how poorly Peyton played today, coming off a bye and at home. That last drive was especially disappointing. His INTs were tough because the balls were tipped, but I give credit to the Chargers for putting pressure on him and knocking him off his game.
I know this has been talked about ad nauseum, but I really think the thing that separates Tom Brady from Peyton is that Brady wouldn't have been stopped on that last drive. JMHO.

sd4chiefs 01-13-2008 08:39 PM

The Chargers will lose next week because I placed a bet last summer on them to win the AFC Championship. I put down $30 at 3 to 1 odds. Those are crapy odds but I placed the bet so that the Chargers would have no chance of making it to the Superbowl. :p

morphius 01-13-2008 08:40 PM

Peyton just isn't the same without Harrison, no doubt about it. Turnovers really kept the Chargers in the game, but you did a great job of keeping the ball moving against what was supposed to be a strong D. I only remember seeing one really bad call that game, so a good win for the Chargers in my book.

Thig Lyfe 01-13-2008 08:41 PM

LOL...

When I went to Vegas in early October, the Chargers were 2-3, just having beat the Donkeys 41-3 in Denver (the week after you guys beat us in San Diego).

I put $25 on the Chargers to win the Super Bowl. The odds were 12-1.

When I bought a new wallet the other day, I managed to throw away the ticket...

If they somehow win, thats $300 down the drain.

:doh!:

No offence but I believe this was being said after our win at your house earlier in the season. Nature of sports I guess, unless you are the Broncos then everone they lose to, that was their Superbowl. :shake:

On another note congrats on a big win. Pretty impressive to hold on without Breeze, Tomlison, and a limited Gates.

And how is that? Jarrad Page has made more plays than Eric Weddle who you vastly overpaid for. Anthony Waters didn't do crap except get in trouble.

You do have a great point.

However I think the difference between an upset of a 14-2 team from an 11-5 team is a little different than an 11-5 and 4-12.

Then again it was 1-2 vs. 1-2 back then right?

Chargers

For LT to get so upset about being disrespected last year by the Steelers, why doesn't he do or say something to Rivers. He has acted like a d**k the last two weeks. I have a feeling his co**ky ass will be different next week. I'm not unhappy that SD won but who does Rivers think he is? And why didn't he have his Ass out there when the game was on the line. I would have thought he would have been more interested in going out there and winning the ballgame for his team than yelling at fans behind the bench.

It was the Patriots.

And you are right about Rivers, but hes not going to change anytime soon. It doesnt seem to affect his gameplay though.

I really dont think that LT and Rivers are buddies off the field though.

eh...I'm taking some joy watching the Norv Turner [giggle] led Chargers go further than Marty did last year. I dont know what Norv is doing now, but it's working.

Second, I really enjoyed seeing Indy lose at home coming off the bye. It was payback for 1995...sort of. Maybe.

Enjoy the win...it ends next Sunday.

Don't get me wrong...the Chargers are definately the lesser evils of the AFC West, but it would just be too priceless to watch a Rivers/LT meltdown/cry-fest. Maybe Rivers will throw some ridiculous picks with his turd arm, and flip a gatorade bucket over or something. That would be tough.

Are you really gonna say shit about AJ Smiths draft history, as someone who follows the draft. That team, AJ Smith in particular is excellent at the draft....

For the 1 Dwayne Bowe the Chiefs can point to he can point to..Cromartie, Marcus McNeil, Nick Hardwick, Vincent Jackson, Shawne Merriman, Shawn Phillips and the list goes on...

The Chargers are an OUTSTANDING drafting team.

Look, Peyton's receivers didn't show up. SD capitalized. That one interception was ridiculous... (where he was getting blocked but still intercepted it). Chargers just better hope that LT comes back, and that Phillip Rivers doesn't. Rivers is the most overrated QB in the league... And I think this goes for every non-Patriot fan.... We all hate Tom Brady. And it might just be for jealousy, but really, I hope his head explodes.

not to mention the Indy favored refereeing that was done.
The Chargers must be a pretty good team. No matter how bad a coach Norv is, they win anyway.

Congrats to the Chargers. They beat a good team. A feat the Chiefs given their current coaching staff are absolutely incapable of (see trying to have your defense win against Peyton ROFL).
