My bold prediction.
Chad Johnson will be a Kansas City Chief in 2008.
100 percent guaranteed. I will leave Chiefsplanet forever if this does not come true. Discuss. |
What would the chiefs be giving up for him, theoretically.

Time to bring in the thugs and egomaniacs huh? shit.

I'd think if it was 100% guaranteed, it wouldn't be a prediction. It would be news.

More secrets between Clayton Wendler and Nick "The Erroneous One" Athan using WPI's exclusive cone of silence. |
That'd be good news. You'd have to overpay for a guy who isn't as good as he is entertaining.
|
What's the point in making a bet if you're going to welch anyway?
I don't want Ocho Stinko, he's a freaking locker room cancer. Well, maybe instead of punching his coaches here he would punch Carl, in that case I'm all in. |

Is there a reason why you think his? Or know this?

Is this that shocking news?

So there is factual info that you have, but can not say, meaning Chad will for sure be a Chief? Does this top the shocking news of Nicks?

He must have thought he overheard a conversation when he was under King Carl's desk....
|
I call bullshit.
|
Guy could easily be a hall of famer before it's all said and done. He could also have another 10 years in the tank. The best WR's in the game are good into their late 30's. I would come all over my computer screen if this happens. Please God!!! Let it happen.
|
What would be the point? Herm won't allow any downfield passing anyway.
|
It sounds sexy, but the idea of what the Chiefs might have to give just to make this happen...
...unless this is some Randy Moss type deal where Cincy just wants to dump him, I say nay based on price alone. |
Quote:
Herm is gonna play his players. If he's got a CJ and a DBowe out there, he will put it up some. He's just gonna try and do it with playaction. CJ would be a ****ing HUGE addition to this team, and would be a very positive step for this rebuilding effort. Clay, you got me ****in excited. DON'T BE WRONG!!!!!! |
Quote:
You have a solid point. |
I don't think that it will happen, but it would be awesome if it did. He is exactly the kind of reciever that would really compliment Bowe and Gonzo. Match up problems all over the field. If you could build an average line in one season, Croyle would have no excuses not to show improvement by the end of the season.
If Chad destroyed the locker room, he'd wreck Herm in the process. If we can get him cheap, there is no downside. |
It's hard to say no to this,

Just imagine what LJ and CJ would do on the field, and off the field. DBowe is going to be corrupt if this happens.

He's never been a cancer, and is a model human being. He's just an attention whore. That's not so bad. |
Quote:
That is not all Chad's fault. No way. But I'm not giving him a 100% free pass on that either. |
Quote:
He stays out of trouble with the law on a team full of criminals. I just don't think he's a big part of their problem. I don't think he'd be a problem here at all. I think he'd be a superstar. He could use the ability of knowing when to STFU but he's an asset IMO any way you look at it. |
I don't think Chad has been a cancer at all.

Cincinnati Bengals Updated:01/31/2008 According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Chad Johnson talked to Jim Rome on his show in Phoenix and again alluded to his desire to be traded. Johnson made a brief comment about the possibility of joining his hometown Miami Dolphins. Johnson signed a contract extension in April 2006 with the Bengals that was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus. Johnson is under contract with the Bengals through 2011. |

Or if it did we'd have to give him a 15 year extension in the 2 billion dollar range. ;) |
Johnson, Bowe, Gonzo, and LJ would be a sick offense.

Chad has also been peddling his rear end to a bunch of teams. Scroll through this an see:
http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm Pats, Dolphins, Panthers, Bears, Seahawks. ...but no, "ill make Brodie into an all star" comment. :sulk: |
Okay if KC does get Chad Johnson, who will have dibs on the number 80 jersey. Webb isn't as prominent as Bowe and Chad he'll have to give it up.

If it is a guarantee and a bet on leaving from this person, it means it is an attention whore thread and you fell for it again. WTF?
LOL |
I think
Goat is just blowing more crap. I kinda hope he's right but I'm about 98% sure he's wrong!
|
:hmmm:
You know I could actually see it happening but he'd probably just be yet another training camp body. Very very likely to be cut before the season. Still we are trying to get younger at CB. Stranger things have happened. http://www.nfl.com/players/chadjohns...e?id=JOH103818 :D |

Either you are a Gochiefs dupe, or you must be new here. |
As far as I can remember I've heard of no off the field issues with Ocho Cinco.
He's just an attention whore just like almost every great NFL reciever has been since Michael Irvin started this trend. From what I've seen he doesn't take plays off and gives 100% out on the field. But his age would be an issue with me. We don't need 30 year old recievers to re-build a team around. What about this extension signed in 2006? Doesn't that make him untradeable because the signing bonus cap hit that Cincinati would have to take? |
Ocho-Cinco would sell jerseys.. but I don't think it would be such a great move for the organization.. which doesn't rule it out!
I hope he goes elsewhere just so I can watch everyone b!tch about Goatse welching. |
spending huge FA $$$ on a 30 yr old WR?
sounds like Carl's idea of "rebuilding"....I hate this franchise to death.... |
I've always liked #85 but do we have cap room for his salary? Would that mean the end for Jarred 'cause we can't afford him?
If it came down to one or the other, no brainer - JA. |
Lot of worthless conversation here. Goaty's stirring the pot and he already has his "clever" excuse as to why he won't be leaving the Planet when Johnson isn't a Chief next year.
|
It would be entertaining if it happened. I still see JA getting the franchise tag. I'm sure an OC like Gailey could figure out how to use him. I could see a "Moss-like" reaction for the Chiefs though not as big as what happened for the Pats.

BS. Damn Clayton. Why do you destroy your credibility, when prople might actually pay to read your stuff if you had an ounce if it left.
I like you, but your and idiot. |
Is anyone else as sick of GOATSE's crap as I am? He's become more annoying than Denise.

Raiduhs
GOATSE, I have barely been on this site, in the grand planet scheme of things, and the first thing I learned was that you are a lying pile of horse shit. STFU and stick another PBJ up your ass. |

Interesting post...
1. CJ is very entertaining and talented, but stays out of legal trouble; I don't view that as cancerous at all. In fact, I would say that LJ's attitude would be a bigger worry than CJ's antics (which I've always enjoyed).
2. $ is the issue. If this "guarantee" would in any way threaten a JA re-signing, I'm against it. 3. GOATSE - request you modify your "leaving" comment. Although you annoy many Planeteers, I'm glad you post here. And thanks for posting a Chiefs football topic, albeit a speculative one... |

Didn't Chad johnson alledgedly punch his head coach at halftime of one of their play-off games? Maybe the Steelers loss?

He's never been in trouble during the course of his career. He lays it all on the line on the field. I don't mind the celebrations at all, but the accompanying penalties do suck. I would scream at the top of my lungs in the middle of a mall if this guy joins the Chiefs. He's a stud... |
Doesnt that mean we give up a high pick for him? its the chiefs, they won't trade for a star player like that.

the word around the water cooler is Tony G and a late round pick
|
Chad Johnson? I'm not interested. He's got a bigger mouth/ego/attitude than TO without TO's level of skills - and I didn't want TO here. I'd rather keep Sammie (that sure hurts to say).
And ff we are seriously thinking about trading Tony G for anyone, WE should be getting the draft picks to boot. |

So basically, we'd be out a 3rd round pick, and the offense would be no better. |
LMAO Chad becoming a Chief. That is funny as hell.Yeah that would work,Bowe will need towel boy.
|
like your word that you'd leave forever is worth anything
|
He's not worth the baggage he'd be bringing along with him. I just don't think i could root for the guy even if he were a chief because i just really can't stand the idiot.
|
sounds good to me :toast:
