KU word filter idea

Just had a thought this morning that it might be cool to add a word filter to CP that every time "money" is typed in it is substituted with "Chalmers"

what ye say?

007 04-08-2008 08:32 AM

I really need me some Chalmers.

nah.

Dumb idea. Celebrate your victory, but realize there are fans of other teams here that want all this KU crap to go away soon.

I would just like to add that the "ignore thread" function is the single greatest thing to hit this BB since its inception. If you aren't using it, you should.

And there appears to be no limit to the number of threads you can ignore, because I'm currently ignoring about 30 of them. No basketball. No soccer. No wrestling. It's wonderful.

I didn't know that existed. Thanks. I refuse to ignore users (I have one on ignore, just because his "location bar ****s up my screen). But I can definitely use that feature.

I'm lightened up. I understand the lovefest. That doesn't mean I'm not counting the minutes till we can talk about stuff I care about.:thumb:

His "location."
The words after location on this one poster's stuff is a paragraph, and it makes every post on any page he's posted on ****ed up.

There's already too many stupid word filters.

I use it too. Mostly to filter out "questionable" content. I don't need my co-workers walking into my cube and seeing the thread title "G-Spot Orgasms". It works nicely.

And I am not ignoring the KU threads because I have been reading and participating in some of them. I'm even ok with the new Lounge Forum title....for a while. Then it needs to go away.

Contrary to what some might think, I'm not ignoring the threads because Kansas won. I'm ignoring the threads because I'M SICK OF BASKETBALL, which I don't give a crap about and never will. It's like Christmas music - after a couple of days, the shit's like fingernails on a chalkboard.

What a great idea!

Maybe every reeruned KU fan on the forum can start their own personal "KU is the bestest EVAR!" thread, too, because you know...all the "aren't we great?" threads are really unique and deserve their own attention.

I'm going to deal with them today (I'm heading out to Kauffman in about 30 minutes to get ready* for the home opener), but tomorrow I'll probably start using the ignore thread function.

word filter/substitution is stupid.

Lzen 04-08-2008 11:47 AM

You know what makes this title even better? Is to see all the opposing fans get their panties in a bunch. :D

I can't remember his name. I don't think he posts that much. But he's pretty bombastic when he does.
