We're doomed.
Ryan fucking Lefebre just said he looks like he's on his way to his fourth victory as they went to commercial. |

Wow, Olivo homer.
Apparently the A's have commited an error in 12 consecutive games.
Its finally nice to see that Grienke appears to be putting it all together this year and living up to his hype of the past 3 years.
olivo is now 2 for 2 with 2 home runs when batting with a full count this season.
TPJ with another shot to center field.
wtf is with these infield singles?
Christ, 3 infield singles. Talk about nickel and dimed to death.
WTF?!? ANOTHER infield single??
Does no response indicate no on-line stream? Folks...? Is this thing on...? /tapping/

I'm listening on the radio. I know 610 doesn't stream it.
Cool. Thanks guys.
another pickoff? seriously?
the royals have to be the worst baserunning team in history. |

Grienke needs a couple quick innings or he won't make it past the 6th.
He's keeping his ERA down, but this has been a relatively rough start (compared to the other 3...) and his pitch count is creeping up. |

Joey Devine relieves Smith Butler flies out to center Guillen strikes out (looking) Gordon flies out to left 0 runs, 0 hits Bottom 6th Ramon Ramirez relieves Greinke Barton singles to right Ellis pops out to third Cust singles to right, Barton to second Brown called out (infield fly rule) R. Sweeney singles to left, Cust to second, Barton scores Crosby grounds into a 6-4 fielder's choice, R. Sweeney out at second 1 run, 3 hits |
In case anyone is wondering about earned runs for Greinke, apparently the official scorer decided not to assume the double play, and assume Ellis would have still scored without the error, but Barton would have been held to first base and never come around to score.
Well, crap. At least Greinke wont lose the game.

Stat: Royals are 3rd in the AL in batting average, but 13th in OBP and 12th in SLG. So although they have a high BA, they are DEAD LAST in runs scored. Not only are they not getting runners on base, but they are losing far too many of the few baserunners they have to caught stealing and getting thrown out trying to stretch singles into doubles, etc. And please, don't anyone give me this "Well, at least we're aggressive." We're not being aggressive, we're being STUPID, and it's costing us two extremely valuable commodities right now -- baserunners and outs. |
I'd like to see a list of potential free agent position players. More specifically, guys who strike out less than Guillen.
9th inning
Top 9th
Guillen doubles to center Gordon strikes out (swinging) Olivo flies out right, Guillen to third Buck singles to right, Guillen scores Alberto Callaspo bats for Pena Jr Esteban German runs for Buck Callaspo flies out to left 1 run, 2 hits Athletics win, 6-5 |
Guillen finally getting his bat under him....
Fabulous AB by Gordon -- right up until he struck out.
We are developing a trend. Score a few runs in the first couple of innings and then sit back and don't do shit on offense the rest of the game.
And the sad part is, do we really have anybody in the minors who looks to be a star positional player and can hit? We either have guys who can hit great but can't play in the field or guys that can play in the field but can't hit worth crap. |
grrrr
