I've lurked around here long enough (before the join date you see to the left) to see some beat-downs by skip (and others) on n00bs. I don't want any part of that.

That being said, I feel bad for n00bs that are trying to make valid points or argue things that the consensus on the CP doesn't agree with get railed on. I guess it's part of the initiation hazing.

I don't see that anymore around here. when I first joined I was like -15,000 points in the red in rep within 2 weeks. my first neg rep was from Endelt telling me ''please die'' ROFL

I kind of miss that shit, that's kind of what attracted me to this place. CP is like the wild west, no law and order.

I never really got to see any of skip's infamous n00b bashing. I feel somewhat disappointed. I imagine it as being a textual version of Mel Gibson hacking that sorry redcoat into pulp in "The Patriot".

The greatest planeteer of all time. I'd just changed my name and decided to be Skip's campaign manager. We used his n00b bashing in our campaign. Told them all it was really because he LOVED them and wanted to see them happy here at Chiefsplanet. He was really just breaking them in. Skip Towne will wear the crown was the campaign slogan.

It worked pretty well, lol, he went to the semi finals. :)

I'll tell you what. Lurkers came out of the woodwork and voted for him. It was pretty funny. Then the mods started messing with all of it and that was that. It was fun though.

I've always liked Skip. He's a good guy. You've got to separate the the man himself from the internet gamesmanship. Most of the stuff that bugs people is meant in fun.
