I posted a picture of what I thought was of a ghost that I took awhile back. It got about the same reaction.

well, i don't know if it was a ghost or not, but both times i clicked on that link it dog-hung my browser and shut it down.
creepy! sec |
I believe in the supernatural of that sense, but the picture looks like a time lapsed photo to me or what ever it is called when a picture takes forever to capture.. Someone was running /walking down the stairs.. Their hand was on the banister longer then their body was in that position that is why it shows up better then the body..

In case it isn't commonly known, go to Page 3 on that website. Free boobies.

I'm pretty sure that is one. The little boy in the article/photo on the right is definitely one. The British Isles are crawling with the bastards.

I don't know if the picture in this particular article is a ghost, but this subject interests me greatly. I do believe in ghosts and love the show Ghost Hunters. I like the way they take a very scientific approach to all of their investigations and go to great lengths to try to debunk what has been reported or what they observe. A new episode is scheduled to air tonight. |

I had a nice chat one evening with my paternal grandfather. I was about 10 at the time. Unfortunately, he died in 1953.

That looks like Ghost Snake!!!
You're lucky you survived that encounter, Mr. BIG_DADDY. FAX |
I believe in that stuff. I had one experience when I lived in the Orchard Corner Apartments in Lawrence. The aiwa shelf stereo system that I still use today as my computer speakers used to just turn on at completely random times on a CD very loudly. It only did that while I was living there for that year.
Spooky, yes. Even more spooky, I knew these girls that lived in these apartments who had a similiar but much more dramatic experience. Their CD player would only play Fleetwood Mac, they would put in a CD that was not fleetwood mac and turn it on and it would play a Fleetwood Mac song. The same with the radio, just Fleetwood Mac. They showed me and it was very strange. |
Yeah, Mohillbilly has a few to tell. They're fugged up beyond belief.

I rented a house in the '80s that was supposedly haunted. A small boy had died in the house in the '30s or '40s. A friend owned the house at the time and was told the boy's ghost was often seen in the house. I was hoping to see the ghost or hear eerie sounds but all I ever noticed was scratching from the raccoon living in the chimney.

With the digital age that is very easy to create. Photoshop can do wonders. Even before digital design I could do that sort of stuff in a darkroom. Any imperfection in the photo can cause weird effects also, like the strap falling in front of the lens, a reflection of light bouncing from some where, there are many variables.
I want to think there is something else out there, but I am a believe it with my own eyes type. |
Fleetwood Mac is spooky enough to freak anybody out. They couldn't even keep the same band members.
Some people believe that a lot of ghosts and apparitions are just people from another dimension peeking through occasional rifts in the fabric of space/time. Maybe an alternate universe where they didn't die, Mr. Rain Man works as a tester for Campbell's, and the Chiefs signed Dan Marino. Some of those universes are much stranger than ours, though. Like the one where Mr. Donger was born a woman. FAX |

I've never posted a video before, hope this works. Some of this is pretty creepy:

I have a photo somewhere of myself with some sort of translucent something imposed directly over me. Could be intrepreted as a human shape. It was taken at Christmas at my aunt's house 20 years ago. It didn't show up on any of the other photographs, of me or anyone else who was there, that were taken that day. It definitely creeped me out the first time I saw it.
I'll post the photo later if I can find it. |

Here's my story. Its long, but instead of answering every PM, I just thought I'd share with everyone.
My boyfriend at the time and I moved into this old house in Fresno Ca. The house was built sometime in the 30's. It was old english tudor style. It also had a gated entrance with 2 lion statues in front of it. We always joked about how the lions looked demonic, something you'd see in a sci-fi fantasy movie. Or a horror movie. Before we moved in, Zak and I decieded to go early and clean the house up for move in. the whole time, I felt some sort of funkiness, but couldn't put my finger on it. At one point Zak had to go to the store to get more cleaning supplies, leaving me alone in this very large and very empty house. While he was gone the funky feeling got stronger, but I just ignored it. I had nver felt anything like that before, so I just figured it was nothing. I was cleaning the stove with 409 and when I went to the sink, it was full of water. Thats was confusing to me, since I hadn't filled the water with sink, not did I hear it fill up. But, since I was the only one there, I must of filled the sink up. So i left it at that. After we moved in, all kinds of weird shit started happening. The first thing, which didnt seem totally odd at first, was a car accident in front of our house. But, after awhile, accidents happened all the time. We even made jokes about who's turn it was to call 911. Also, our roomates pictures kept getting turned face down. My cat, who hid underneath the stove for the first week we lived there, kept going down to the basement and she's be gone for hours. And even if she didnt want to go down the basement, she made sure we kept the door open for her. if we didnt, she'd wine incesently. Also, it was always freezing in the house. We thought our heater was broken, but it wasn't. We froze our ass off, and we could see our breath. If we were hanging in the living room watching TV, the light switches in other rooms would go off. you could hear the clicking of the switches. And these were heavy duty switches. Remember, this house was built in the 30's. Plus of course, you could see the lights going on and off. There was one room no one would go into because that funky feeling was strongest in there. Also, the tv would just change channels while you were watching. Oh, and the sinks and bathtubs, filled up with water constantly. Now, our roomate was freaked the **** out. I was in the middle. I was uncomfortable with what was going on, but I kept trying to have a level head about things. Trying to explain things, but in the back of my head I knew something was awry. Zak on the other hand, was a staunch non-believer. Everything could be explained and we were just scaredy cats. Finally, just to appease us, Zak went looking for a medium, a psychic type, ghost hunter kind if you will. When the medium came over, she went thru the house, without saying a word. And we told her nothing, absolutely nothing about our experiences. She had us light candles, candles we bought. We each had one candle burning in front of us. She told us of 7 spirits in limbo. She told us our house was a gateway for spirits as well. One spirit, named Susan, lived int he house in the 40's. She was a very religous woman, who was also very kind. She wanted us to live a better and more moral life ( we partied alot). She also died in a car accident, in front of the house. Then there was Maria, who lived ont he property back in the early 1900's. She was all about black magic and loved ****ing with our roomate, because she was so scared all the time. the medium asked if a constant prank was being played on her. We told her about our romates pictures constantly being faced down. Then we learned about the 'evil" spirit that resided in the room, that no one would even walk thru. We also learned about the woman who lived there in 60's. the one that died of pnuemonia--you know, water filling up the lungs. Then the medium asked us if our cat had a fascination with the basement. Yes, of course. Well, it turns out there was a little girl living in the basement. She loved to play with our cat. She was also 5 and didnt understand that she wasn't alive. She hid in the basement from another spirit named Martin. Martin was evil. Martin was the funy feeling that I personally always got. MArtin was the one that would stand outside my shower, and provoke me to always look out, like who the **** is there. when I would look, I would see nothing. Martin didnt like me, or Zak. At all. While we were talking to the medium about Martin, Zak became very white, very pale. The medium described martin and his fascination with Zak, and ultimately breaking us up. During this, the medium asked if I had recently had a problem waking up Zak. I said yes, and Zak was a light sleeper. But a couple of nights prior, I couldnt wake him up to save my life. This is when Zak, got up and went to the bathroom to get sick. It hit him hard. It was at the moment that Zak believed. AS it turned out, Zak became a complete asshole while we lived there. He changed, I can't explain it. We did break up. I moved out. Zak lived there for a few more months. About 9 months later, Zak and I worked our shit out and got back together. In fact, we were married for 10 years. However, Zak doesnt remeber the time in the house very well. As he says, the whole thing is a deep, thick fog. He doesnt know why he became a different person. Also, he went to buy some stuff at a store a few months after he moved out. While he was writing a check, a check with that address on it, the clerk went white and asked, "you don't still live there do you?". Zak said no of course, but knew exactly why she asked that. Now, when I walk into a house, that I might live in, if i feel any sense of funkiness, the same type of funk, there's no ****ing way I will live there. No way. |

At the time the picture was taken, there was nothing out of the ordinary going on. It was Christmas morning, I was with family opening gifts. No bad, scary feelings or any other sort of creepiness that day. The only reason I even remember what year it was is because I had just been promoted and was wearing my Navy jumper with my new second class crow on the sleeve. Maybe it was a camera glitch - who knows? But like it said, it was only in that one shot. |
I dont believe in ghosts, but did have something happen to me that made me question my non-belief.
When I was in my late teens, my friends and I would go park on this old farm road in Springfield we called "The Y" to smoke the hippy lettuce. Right across the road there was a big field a guy I went to high school with dumped another guy's body that I went to high school with after he shot him. That has nothing to do with this story though. :D Anyway, one night we were out there getting ripped and we heard what sounded exactly like a human baby crying. We were trying to follow the sound and it sounded like it was coming from under a near-by bridge. It kept crying and crying so we pulled the car up so we could aim the headlights under the bridge. We didnt see shit but the crying kept getting louder. We started getting scared so we left. About a month later I was at another friends house (he lived with his grandparents) and was telling him about it. His granddad was in another room listening. He came into the room holding an old newspaper. It turns out my friend's granddad was a detective in Springfield in the 50's. He asked exactly what bridge I was talking about and when I told him he handed me the paper. Sometime in the early 50's a woman threw her 3 month old baby under that same bridge and left it there. It wasnt found until a few weeks later and was obviously dead. My friend's granddad was the lead detective on the case and kept that newspaper all these years. My friend kept saying it was probably some kind of animal but I know the difference between a baby cry and an animal cry. I didnt sleep at all that night and didnt sleep well for a couple weeks. |
if ghosts dont have physical bodies how can they reflect light to be captured on camera?

Besides my fun out in Stull, I had another one that truly did startle me.
I had a friend in high school who died in a car accident. He was buried at that cemetery at Metcalf and College. A group of us went to the cemetery on the night of the first anniversary of his death, at the precise time he died in the accident. We walked up to his grave and didn't say anything, just kind of all individually paying our respects. Suddenly, I heard a faint thump. I just thought it was my imagination and carried on. A few seconds later, I heard it again, only louder. I opened my eyes, and immediately felt a thump under my feet. I looked at my friends, and they all had the same expression on their faces. I couple of them ran back to the car, and I soon followed. |

People will see things if they want to see things.
Any picture you see like that happens because of defects in the film, or just the way the picture is taken. |

Thats cool. I live with it by accepting what happened and making sure it never happens again, if I can. Hence paying attention to the funkiness next time. |
I had my own experience at Stull, before the church was torn down.
That place truly is a gateway to hell.... |
Lazlo on 96.5 yesterday was talking about when he lived in an converted old funeral home, and it was supposedly haunted. He would shower where they used to clean the corpses, and there were baby-sized coffins in the basement.
The part that kinda creeped me out was when he described re-doing the dry-wall in one of the rooms. They tore out the old stuff, and underneath was a bunch of crayon drawings, as if "a group of kids was left in the room for a long time, and they just doodled everywhere". Shit like 'Hi mommy' and stuff like that. He also said he got slapped in the face by a ghost. |
Wow, didn't expect this kind of response. What amazes me is the arrogance of people who judge other peoples experiences like everyone is fool except for them because they are so smart and truly understand what they are.
