Hard Knocks

Anyone watching the Cowboys training camp this year on HBO?

ShortRoundChief 08-09-2008 10:19 PM

I'd rather watch 2 lubed up monkeys doing a giraffe

Bugeater 08-09-2008 10:20 PM

I don't have HBO, and **** the Crackwagon.

dorseybowe 08-09-2008 10:20 PM

Yes, it's a little different than with KC.

chiefs1111 08-09-2008 10:20 PM

I actually just got rid of HBO so no.

Hammock Parties 08-09-2008 10:20 PM

Hard Cocks? What?

chiefs1111 08-09-2008 10:22 PM

Plus they already did a Hard Knocks with the cowboys a few years ago.

KcMizzou 08-09-2008 10:22 PM

I haven't, but I'll probably DL it. How many episodes are there so far? Has it been interesting?

See if you'd just be your witty self at the gay bar you'd be sure to get laid.

Well, yeah... obviously. That's something you don't get to see every day.

chiefs1111 08-09-2008 10:23 PM

I am surprised they haven't announced they will be doing one with the Jets now that Farve is there.

Hammock Parties 08-09-2008 10:23 PM

I watched 20 minutes the other night. It was great stuff. Got the full thing tivo'd.

dorseybowe 08-09-2008 10:25 PM

It's different. They treat the 'boys like superstars. With the Chiefs, it was more down to earth. They act like the 'boys just won the Super Bowl. Complete bullshit, if you ask me. They haven't won a playoff game since '95. They ain't any better than us.

dorseybowe 08-09-2008 10:27 PM

I wish we were playing the 'boys so we could beat the living shit out of them.

Mr. Arrowhead 08-09-2008 10:27 PM

I watched the first episode this past week, and Wade Phillips is a tool

I'm not sure which episode was on this evening. I assume it's the first one, since they were just getting to camp. Pacman was really making T.O. work during practice. I think it's pretty cool so far. They also talked about waiving Terry Glenn.

Actually, they stressed that they haven't won a playoff game in quite a while. But, yeah, it's different when you're bringing back vets and not starting from scratch.

They did mention it, but at the same time, HBO played a full song called "superstar." Self-explanatory. Prima Donnas? Yes, and yes.

Chiefs Pantalones 08-09-2008 11:14 PM

I love it. My favorite shows are the Hard Knocks. Getting to see the Chiefs last year was amazing.

They are a ****ton better then the Chiefs and have way more SuperBowl Rings. I am in the **** the cowboys side of things, they are a great ran organization. I wish the Chiefs had 4 plus superbowls.

I do, too. But, hell, I was born in '84. Didn't really pay attention to the NFL until I was about twelve. Nothing before that really matters to me. And since then, neither of our teams have won a playoff game. They ain't much different when you get down to it.

Rausch 08-09-2008 11:41 PM

Nope.

I wanna' see some hard knocks but I'm waiting for Deadwood...

Rausch 08-09-2008 11:47 PM

Holy $#it! Calamity Jane is doable?

Wow. Guess a bath and a shot of the old bread mold does wonders...

And then as seen on Deadwood.

Megbert 08-09-2008 11:51 PM

I get all of 'America's Team' I can handle on Sportscenter/NFL Live.

Swazey 08-10-2008 12:07 AM

I've seen it... and the Cowboys just lost while being featured on Hard Knocks... coincidence?

Since coaches try to prevent distractions I'd guess not...

DaKCMan AP 08-10-2008 01:41 AM

No. I bought HBO last year for a month of Chiefs TC but I'm not paying for some ****ing cowboys bullshit.

B_Ambuehl 08-10-2008 02:03 AM

It might be worth you'll watching getting a chance to see Jr. Siavii get cut.

JuicesFlowing 08-10-2008 04:28 AM

I generally cannot stand the Cowboys, so no, I'm not going to watch it.

HypnotizedMonkey 08-10-2008 07:04 AM

Living in Texas, and having to hear every f-cking Cowboys fan say that they're GOING to win the Superbowl this year, I hope for nothing but bad things for the Cowboys this year. Hopefully Romo blows another playoff game. :)

blueballs 08-10-2008 07:57 AM

Jerry Jones has a huge head
Fat Elvis shouldn't tune in

Baby Lee 08-10-2008 08:24 AM

Regardless of the team they're covering, NFL Films knows drama.
Just one episode and I'm already more invested in what happens to the 'boys this year.
You know he's a salesman, but when he sells "I could do anything on earth that I wanted to do, and today I'm here with you" you see why he's a sucessful salesman. I wanted to run through a tackle dummy and I don't particularly like the guy.
And the TO v. PacMan stuff was quality and demonstrated what an effing specimen TO is.

Except they won 13 games last year to our 4.

Uncle_Ted 08-10-2008 08:49 AM

I got rid of HBO, but caught the first episode on NFL.com. As much as I loved seeing the Chiefs last year, it's fascinating to me no matter which team they follow.

I wonder if the Chiefs players watch it and get pissed that they get stuck living in a dorm during TC instead of the little townhouses that the Cowboys get?

And weren't any more of a threat to win it all than we were the last time we won 13.

I wondered the same thing.

The stat still remains. Nothing in the NFL is guaranteed.
