When do we score out 100th Point this year?

Fair question. I'm going to leave out games 1 & 2, but I figure games 3 & 4 will help us discover as a group who has the best drugs.

Buck 09-05-2008 05:38 PM

Week 5.

JuicesFlowing 09-05-2008 05:39 PM

If we score 100 by game 4 I'll be pretty impressed ... 25 points per game is pretty solid to start the season.

The Franchise 09-05-2008 05:40 PM

Week 5......

Mecca 09-05-2008 05:40 PM

I'm going to say week 7 or 8.

Pablo 09-05-2008 05:40 PM

6th game. And just barely hit 100.

Because even if we put up 21 points in games 2-5, we're only up to 84, and I don't think we're putting 16 on the Pats.

I'm going to say week 6. Even though I really, really hate to say week 6.

25 point per game with this offense would be an act of God.

The Cowboys only averaged like 28 points a game last year. We'd be extremely lucky to average 17 points a game in the first half of the season.

Mecca 09-05-2008 05:47 PM

I don't think this team will average 20 points a game....I say somewhere in the 13-16 range.

Buck 09-05-2008 05:49 PM

You guys will put up a 47 spot on the Donko's.

rad 09-05-2008 05:53 PM

Game 2 of next season.

Just like we were supposed to last year at Arrowhead...

and we got slaughtered. As bad as the Donkey's defense is, I don't think we're putting up much more than 3 TD's against any teams first stringers.

Micjones 09-05-2008 05:54 PM

Week 6-8.

Ding Ding Ding Ding! I think we have a winner...

... although I think maybe they'll coincide.

bogey 09-05-2008 06:15 PM

I figure we'll average 14 points per game. I thinking game 7 or 8.

jjchieffan 09-05-2008 06:46 PM

I say game 4. Maybe game 5. By seasons end Croyle to Bowe will be challenging Brady to Moss type numbers. Chan will bring on the revival of the Greatest Show on Turf.

Ok, so maybe I have my homer glasses on, or maybe somebody slipped some good drugs into my drink.:D

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-05-2008 06:52 PM

7. Should fit right in with our 15 ppg average.

Not even in both games. We have field goal Herm remember? He thinks 21 points is LOT of points.

el borracho 09-05-2008 07:51 PM

Week 8. We'll probably end the year with less than 250 points (including defensive scores) and it also depends on when Croyle gets injured this year.

Mr. Laz 09-20-2008 06:41 PM

anyone want to rethink their answer?

at this rate we should hit 100 in week 11

At this point I no longer think it a given that the 2008 Chiefs score 100 points.

Braincase 10-07-2008 01:31 PM

At this point, we've got 65 points over 5 games, averaging 15 points per game.

I'm not entirely confident that we can score 15 per against the Titans, Bucks, and Jets, so I'm going to stick with my guess and say we'll get our 100th point against the Chargers.

Frazod 10-07-2008 01:38 PM

Man, 100 points in a season? Sounds like arena ball to me.

Hoover 10-07-2008 01:39 PM

simple...we don't

DaFace 10-07-2008 01:59 PM

I wonder what the record is for a team's least number of points scored in a season.

StcChief 10-07-2008 02:00 PM

maybe we don't score 100.

JuicesFlowing 10-07-2008 03:56 PM

Come on, they can put up 45 points against the Titans! (combined If they played them 4 times) ... Or 14 times.

The Franchise 10-07-2008 04:05 PM

Crap....I picked Carolina. What I meant was that Carolina would score their 100th point against us.

http://espn.go.com/page2/s/list/foot...ams/worst.html

#6, '91 Colts... 143 points and 14 touchdowns.
(Chiefs are on pace for about 205...)

#1 '76 Bucs, < 9 points a game, shutout 5 times.
(...which is 12.8 ppg)

This is where we could end up...

#2 '90 Patriots... worst offense and 2nd worst defense in the league, and five games with a touchdown or less.

#4 '71 Bills... worst offense and worst defense in the league.

So I thought Id dig into the numbers a bit and see how we compare to the 76 Bucks, we’re not THAT bad right?

Bucks
Avg Passing 137 yards
Avg Rushing 77 yards

Chiefs
Avg Passing 137 yards
Avg Rushing 117 yards

Wow.

Goes to show how bad the losses really are...

Passing: 131.5 ypg
Rushing: 94 ypg

Of the worst run defenses in the league, we play the Bengals (#29), the Broncos again (#25), and that's it. The next lowest on our schedule is Atlanta, and after that, San Diego and Oakland, who are in the middle of the pack.

Bob Dole 10-07-2008 05:09 PM

Where's the "after Herm is gone" option?

kstater 10-19-2008 01:16 PM

Yeah, they got some work to do next week or I'm out of the running.

JuicesFlowing 10-25-2008 07:18 AM

I have to bump this thread. Chiefs have scored 75 points ... 25 to go. Looks like maybe at SD ... Maybe.

chagrin 10-25-2008 07:38 AM

I'm surprised we avg. that many rushing yards per game, but the Denver game throws off the avg.

None of that arena ball for us young man.

Smed1065 10-25-2008 07:06 PM

Well I missed and it is sad. Game 17 now. :)

whoman69 10-25-2008 10:35 PM

Outside of our one win we are averaging 8 points a game. That means 3 more games to go before we hit one hundred, could even be 4 more to break it.

Spott 10-26-2008 08:05 PM

In case anyone was keeping track, we now have 99 points so far this season. The next FG will put us over the top.

RustShack 10-26-2008 08:06 PM

I voted game 8!!!
