New Facebook equals 7 dicks
|
Those dicks do not impress me.
|
Did they make the mandatory switch yet?
I've had the old one and some of my friends have switched to the new one and say they hate it. |

Come on man, put some effort into your dick drawings. Put some throbbing veins 'n shit on there.

Mine is still the same as before.
I still have the End of Times New Facebook Disclaimer on the home page. |
Yeah its totally gay.
|
It has officially turned into Myspace. :grr:

It reversed itself from turning into MySpace by not letting people get stupid control and put a lot of idiotic shit all over the place. It is more focused and easier to use. |
Facebook redesign is a huge improvement.
|
Eh... instead of scrolling down half the page to see the wall, I just click on 'posts by others'. I'd prefer a couple of boxes on the front page instead of in the 'boxes', but besides that....

But right now, it's about as useful as smashing my hand between two bricks. |
Quote:
Eh.... everyone bitched about the news feed until half of them realized they could change the settings and the other half realized it wasn't so bad. Change sucks, apparently. |
Quote:
My biggest beef with the new design is the wall/newsfeed together. And users are unable to seperate them themselves. Facebook should have had two or three layout designs and let people choose. |

Huge improvement. |
People just don't like change.
Ever. No biggie. |
The new design FAR exceeds the old design.
Remember how up in arms people were when they released the Newsfeed? This is WAY better, overall. I don't even log into MySpace anymore. |
Myspace, Facebook, Hi5, egh .... isn't it all a bit old now?

Being on the road 100%, I like facebook. I've tried to get into LinkedIn because I really like the concept, but it's more of a once-a-month thing. |

I don't use Facebook. I'm staying off the grid, man. |

God, people don't get that the internet changes.
The design has flaws but it's WAY better. |
Can someone enumerate the ways in which the new design is better? I grant you the "boxes" page; it's nice to not be inundated with applications.
But that's the only positive that I'm getting from the new layout. Someone, tell me what I'm missing. |
i like the new one.
|
I have this feeling that no one is going to bother and click on the "info" button when viewing someone's profile much. Before, you had to scroll past the info to get to someone's wall; since that info was already on the page, you were more inclined to read it. What good is having a profile if people have to go on a scavenger hunt to get a sense of who you are?

I've got to hire a detective firm to find shit with this new layout. I literally have to hire Dick Tracy in order to play Scrabble.

More application style layout. Faster (ajax) Less clutter. Info all on one page instant within a click or two. Feed+wall = great stream of info. Just to name a few. |
Quote:
I don't know what you mean by cuts down on page views? I don't see the benefit of a more application style layout. It takes me more time to do the same things. I've noticed no change in page speed. Agreed on the less clutter. Old Facebook = all info on one page without clicking at all. Some people may like the feed+wall combo, that's fine. For me, I dislike it. |
Quote:
Sites redesign. Period. It's for the better. |

The front page has basic info, and with the previous layout, some people have a ton of crap in their info that you don't need to see everyday (I have several quotes that take up a lot of space). You can also move boxes between the Wall and Boxes with the thing in the top right (most of them, anyway), so you can still show what you want on the first page. There's also an App bar at the bottom. [geek]I think it's another step towards sliced web-surfing, where you basically get feeds of certain portions of a website without having to go to the website to view the whole thing[/geek] |
I'm going to create a new social website called 7dicks.com.
Meh... maybe not. |
I switched over to the new facebook weeks ago. I don't like it, but I'm used to it. Whatevs, yo.

I mean, I really respect you as a poster, and we see eye-to-eye often over in D.C.; I've never, until this thread anyway, gotten the impression that you think I'm a brainless moron. But you do, apparently, since you're lumping me in with this group of generic people who are resistant to any sort of change. It just seems a little harsh for something so insignificant as Facebook preferences. I would have thought that my track record here wouldn't lead to condescension like I'm some troll whose input no one values. |

You aren't a brainless moron. I just don't see how people don't get sites change. |

I'm already finding the new layout unintuitive, I don't need condescension on top of that. |
Everybody hates it every time facebook changes. The same people who are complaining about it now will want it to stay this way instead of changing again, the next time a change rolls around.
I don't particularly care for the new layout either, but it isn't that bad. I'm sure it'l grow on us. |

Actually I'm finding that this layout is actually bit more functional. There are some things you couldn't do before that you can access now.

I can't get used to it. It seems like everything in my profile is still there, but it's hidden, and you can't scroll down and see everything at once.

I also like having all friends grouped together now, instead of that reeruned "by location" thing. |
The new design looks uber reeruned.
The name is Joseph Corr from the same location location as it says to the left. Add me, bitches. |

While on the subject:
Corr is a bad-ass sounding last name. I like Daniel Duke because I like alliteration. |
Quote:
I like alliteration myself, but it just seems out of place in names. It just isn't as natural sounding, in my opinion. |

I don't know how sensible it really was for you guys to post your names openly on here, but to each their own.

Quote:
If you have a facebook account, you've already gone about putting your name out in the open. |

:shake: |
And also, facebook has blown since they started adding in all the bullshit (apps, quizzes, vampire invitations, etc).
You guys should create a group on fb protesting the old format become available  |

They did not show up either? Flabb is you now. I mean a virgin to a sex god in 3 months? You are a virgin and floppy. Go for it! ROFLMAO. I am god cause I did not eat you or **** you in the last 4 months.... Just ask me. Ill tell you so. |
What is wrong with it? I hated facebook to begin with looks better to me.
