Ely Manning

Is a ****in' stud. Along with everyone else I thought for sure San Diego got the best end of that deal but now its obvious the Giants did.

kstater 09-21-2008 02:37 PM

Ely May of the Beverly Hillbillies was hot.

Mecca 09-21-2008 02:39 PM

Well his WR made a tremendous catch for him too....

Ultra Peanut 09-21-2008 02:55 PM

IT'S A TOOMAH

The Giants got the best of the draft because they won a Superbowl. But its debatable whether Rivers or Eli is better. But Eli is certainly not better than Rivers + Merriman + Kaeding.

Either way, Roethlisberger is still the best qb in that draft.

Seriously? He's a good qb, great at managing the game..but he's not gonna put his team on his back every Sunday like Eli can

Eli doesn't put his team on his back every Sunday. I have seen every pro game Eli has ever played. Eli has never been asked to carry the Giants. They have won with their defense and rushing attack. Eli is great in no huddle and clutch situations, but he's wildly inconsistent throughout the rest of the game.

I'll take Eli if I need a game winning TD, but I'll take Ben the rest of the game.

He should do something about his swollen tongue.

KCwolf 09-21-2008 04:50 PM

I thought Ely had a swollen vagina......

No, that's Brody.

Bearcat 09-21-2008 04:58 PM

He's definitely turned the corner since winning the SB. His QB rating is 20 points higher than last season and his career rating. Then again, the last two weeks he's played the Bengals and Rams... guess time will tell if he'll finally live up to the hype.

JuicesFlowing 09-21-2008 05:00 PM

He's turned out to be a solid QB .. Even when he was struggling, he was better than the Chiefs young QB's ... but we'll see in 10 weeks when Croyle finally is healthy.

JuicesFlowing 09-21-2008 05:02 PM

PS I thought his name was ELI?

What's funny about Eli is that he did less with more talent for 4 years, and now that he has a ring, people think he's worth the pick, money, and hype. Croyle has similar stats (through the first handful of starts) with less talent around him, and the majority of Chiefs have thrown him under the bus (which isn't good since he's so fragile).

If Eli was under this kind of pressure he would have thrown 4 picks. Eli has had one of the best olines in the league his entire career, but when he's been under alot of pressure, he hasn't played well, just like any other qb.

I won't throw Croyle under the bus with our O-line ... the thing is, he might not ever get a chance to prove himself behind a good line. I basically give LJ the same credit ... it's amazing LJ ran for over 100 yrds today ... it's all about the line.

Wrong Manning, but Peyton lost to 0-2 Jacksonville a few minutes ago.

Brock 09-21-2008 05:15 PM

Phillip Rivers is just as good, if not better.

harpes 09-21-2008 05:44 PM

I hate anyone named Manning but he is starting to make me change my mind about him.
