Great for the Big 12 to have the top team in each division 1 and 2 in the nation.
I don't think OU will lose to Texas (but at this point no one really knows how good Texas really is), but if it happened, and Mizzou beats OSU, the Texas/Mizzou game could be 1 vs 2. Har har, frazod. Har har. |

The next two weeks will be great tests for Mizzou.... Mizzou, Texas, and OSU are probably all averaging 50+ points a game.
Kansas needs a good showing against Colorado. It'll go a long way in securing a bowl, and they're going to get raped by OU the following week. |

Nick Saban has done a miracle at Alabama. That program was in shambles just a couple years ago.

We'll see how MU fares the next two weeks, though I expect them to win both. They're clearly the best team in the North.
It's going to be funny to see them play Oklahoma again, though they should still earn a BCS berth. |

They may lose but they will not get raped. |

Do you get more enjoyment out of a KU loss or an MU win?
I'm pretty sure I know the answer. |

But after your fraud run of last year, I'll certainly enjoy watching the Gooners use you guys as chewtoys for three hours. |

What is Missouri's strength of schedule?

How in the hell could 13 people give Alabama a first place vote over Oklahoma?

Compare OU's average first quarter lead of 21-0.6 with the other high-scoring teams... Mizzou's 14-6 average lead after one quarter, or Texas' 10-2. Who knows, maybe they'll be hungover after the Texas game and get off to a slow start... and, obviously, OU is just like any other college team and will lack focus from time to time. But, at the moment I have a feeling that Kansas could get down a few possessions in the first half and at most make the final score look closer than it really was. |

The beauty of it is that most KU fans I know will readily admit that MU deserved to be there over our Hawks. That just makes the victory even sweeter. I love having an athletic director that knows how to do his job. If you're going to be pissed at anyone about the snub, you should be pissed at Alden. The dude doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. |
Quote:
Maybe Oklahoma State should have jumped them... besides that, no one else can really complain because Kansas did win. 15-17... |

Past that though, I don't really get it... Kansas fans knew the Jayhawks would take a step back this year, and everyone knew OU would get better. Mizzou couldn't beat OU last year, so had Mizzou taken a step back they wouldn't be able to beat them this year either, and who knows if they'll even beat them this year (if they meet). Yeah, have fun watching Kansas lose or whatever, but it seems like some people think it proves something about last year. It doesn't. If Kansas gets their ass kicked by OU it'll mean that OU is much better in the trenches and that Kansas still has a way to go. Well, we already know that. |

I find it ironic how all these beaker fans are just dying for us to lose as if they have nothing else to root for. Basically, they are acting exactly the same that they accuse MU fans of during basketball season.
|
MU is going to have to win with their offense all of the time, though. Their D needs some work.
KU was not going to be as good this year. I think most of us knew that. |

Like I said, Kansas fans knew they would take a step back this year... no one was expecting to match last year's success, and everyone knew the schedule was brutal this year. Why it's a talking point now for "you're frauds", I have no idea. At the same time, Mizzou hasn't had to do much to get up to the number two spot in the nation... I'd probably worry about them being frauds before worrying about Kansas. |
Quote:
I guess I could say the same thing, that "all these Tiger fans" are dying to watch the Jayhawks lose, when they should be more enthusiastic about watching their own team. I don't care what Mizzou does... they're a fun team to watch, and it's good for the Big 12. I'd love to see the B12 North rival the SEC divisions, because it wasn't long ago when it an incredibly sad division. But, sitting at #2, chirping about how you're (the global you) going to enjoy watching Kansas lose, while Mizzou has its biggest games ahead of them isn't very smart. |
Missouri is earning their ranking every week. Until they lose, they deserve to be at the top. KU is a marginal top 25 team at best and they've got a long way to go, but they'll be a better team next year than they are this year. KU is an improving program, but we've got to settle for second place ni the Big 12 North, and with Colorado's program coming on pretty strong, that may not last long.

I am one of those people who is very concerned about our game next week. OSU will bring a solid team to Columbia. It will be a struggle to win.

Frazod, stop being a douche. KU wasn't a fraud last year, and they aren't frauds this year. Worry about your own team.

This year everyone knows that they are far weaker, probably somewhere in the 20s. I fail to see how that makes them frauds. |
