You Know who else has given up on the Chiefs besides Chiefs planet??

The players.

Anyone notice that no one on the chiefs gives a f*** anymore?

It's like most of them have nothing to play for.

NashvilleRock.net 10-05-2008 02:31 PM

I'm listening to the 810 stream and someone just called in and said that there were SEVERAL players smiling and cutting up on the sideline toward the end of the game! I'm in Nashville so radio is my only way of keeping up with this abortion of a football team but if that's true than I'm REALLY getting close to just giving up on them.

Reerun_KC 10-05-2008 02:32 PM

Lets hope, that is the quickest way for herm and carl to be out the door, considering most of these players are Herms draftees anyway...

triple 10-05-2008 02:33 PM

a players' revolt is what this team needs

Mr. Plow 10-05-2008 02:34 PM

Honestly, when you are getting shut out as bad as we did.....all you can do is laugh.

NashvilleRock.net 10-05-2008 02:34 PM

See my post above. Sounds like the players are perfectly happy with their sucktitude

I agree but shouldn't it be the coach's job to motivate the players to give a shit?? Of course, we're talking about you-know-who.

rtmike 10-05-2008 02:57 PM

Usually the first thing the owner, GM says when the coach is fired is that he lost the team.
I don't think the players' are into this rebuilding gig like Herm thinks they are.

Deberg_1990 10-05-2008 03:01 PM

Dolphins are now 2-2 and seem to be playing pretty tough.

I guess a regime change does make a difference!

If the Chiefs do then lets hope they pick the right people. I don't want Matt Milian.:D

You should be banned for suggesting this.

I gotta tell you. I was on the worst eighth grade football team in the history of eighth grade football. We lost every game we played that season.

Before one game, the opposing coach actually came over to our sideline and said, "Boys, I like your coach. We're only going to beat you by 40 points today." They beat us 44-0.

No one joked on our sideline. We were frustrated, disappointed and pissed. No one was smiling.

Of course, we weren't getting paid. But somehow getting paid should mean that you're even more serious about the game.

Just my opinion.

Yeah, but the Dolphins and Parcells took shortcuts to rebuild, like signing free agents and stuff. That's cheating. We're doing it the right way, you know, through the draft, just like they did in the 70's and 80's before free agency.

I believe Deion Sanders and Marshall Faulk are both looking for GM jobs. Just a thought.

Man. I hate - absolutely hate - the idea that the players would be joking on the sideline while getting ass whipped like this. The mere fact that Herm tolerates this kind of behavior makes me want to see him strung up by his pubic hair and dunked in a vat of boiling walrus piss until he screams for his mommy.

When a team accepts the fact that they're a joke and actually find humor in it, it's time to start firing people. It's a sad thing to realize that the fans care more than the players and coaches.

It needs to be the coaches job to get the players to beleive in his system. They arent beleiving in it. Its now just a paycheck for them.

34-0? seriously.

Agreed Mr Fax,it's too bad in pro sports there's not a "docked pay" for poor to no performance.Take a few hundred thousand dollars from some of these dips and see how much they're smiling then.

Psyko Tek 10-05-2008 10:50 PM

I figure it this way
you win you get millions of dollars mansions, cars, babes, etc

you lose you get $7.50/hr, plus tips

Did we go to the same school? My 8th grade team scored 6 points. The entire season. On defense. I played offense. :doh!:

Hey, that coach is a man of his word. Maybe Clark Hunt should give him a call.

I agree, but haven't you had a day where everything goes so badly that you just chuckle about it? Like "WTF else could go wrong" and then something else goes wrong.

I've had a few of them.

Rebuilding and going young doesn't have to look like this. There are other factors effecting our "suckage" other than our inexperience.

For crissakes, the starting Right and Left Tackles were out. The starting Center was out in the 2nd half and we still couldn't get any pressure on the Panthers.

Agent V 10-06-2008 07:50 AM

Methinks it's time for a protest at Arrowhead. Much like the Lions fans did with Millen. Although, does King Carl allow signs promoting negativity of the team's staff into the stadium?

petegz28 10-06-2008 07:50 AM

I don't care how good your coach is, or thinks he is anyway, if the players don't believe in him then he is wasting time on this team.

MOhillbilly 10-06-2008 07:52 AM

this team is young. they have talent. this year is gonna suck next year not so much. i still like this team, the players and coaches.

so **** off.

chasedude 10-06-2008 07:52 AM

We need a football equivalent of the mutiny of the Bounty.
