When does the one that matters come out?
|
Texas beating aTm at home was impressive enough to jump Florida when Florida destroyed #20 Florida State in Tallahassee????

Yet MU is still in the Top 20? shameful
|
Kansas still unranked, I see.
Aw, too bad. LMAO |

Florida should be ahead of Texas, and Texas should be ahead of Oklahoma. It's all a lot of BS. |

The only reason I think Alabama should be ranked ahead of them is the "0" in the loss column, a number that I expect Florida to change. |

Truth is, nobody really knows who is REALLY better from the #1 team to the #7 team. You may think you do, but you really have no definitive idea. This is a good reason we need a play off. Da dee da dee

What's a joke is the BCS. It's a bullshit mythical national championship game. Either have a tournament or don't. None of those top teams are obviously better than the others, so why throw out the results of all those teams' last game?
|
God the AP is so full of shit.

It's all good...especially after we roll OU next week to win the Big 12 Championship!

Florida may be the best team right now, but 4 is where they should be. I mean... they lost to an unranked opponent at HOME.

Highly unlikely, but what happens if Missouri pulls off the upset in the Big XII championship game?

Wow. I still can't believe enough voters justified OU over Texas even though the Horns won on a neutral field.
That's awful - and OU is their bitter rival. |

Having said that, I wouldn't mind a plus-one format. Quote:

I'm sure there will be a lot of people clamoring for USC though. |

The one thing I'm curious to see, is if the BCS will take Boise State over Ohio State for the final at-large spot.

Yes, LSU was a two-loss team that went to the championship game. But they got there because, among other things, West Virginia lost to Pittsburgh on the final weekend of the season. My team, USC, wasn't in the championship because we failed to beat Stanford last year. The year before that we weren't in the championship because we failed to beat UCLA in the last game of the season. In a playoff scenario, none of those games would have had any affect on the championship because both West Virginia and USC would have been in the tournament. |
Quote:
Texas has won their last 3 games by a combined 129-37 margin |
No playoff system! How many teams, for those favoring a playoff system, would you want in the post-season tournament?
|
Quote:
*EDIT* Looking at those 3 UT wins you speak of, they were against Baylor, KU and aTm. LMAO |
texas gets a major league screwing
they beat OU on a neutral field and it literally doesn't even count |

Texas will BCS sympathy. I'll bet they make it at large.

if Mizzou can upset OU, then Texas is right back in it most likely |

In that case, Texas Tech got shafted. They beat Texas. They should be playing. Had OU lost last night, Texas would still be sitting at home. |
Quite a delima for me. I was born and raised Mizzou, but I'd really like to see OU play for a national championship.
MU wins and OU is out of the national championship. Rooting for someone to beat MU just feels wrong. |

#1 Alabama has to play #4 Florida. I would imagine that if Florida knocks off Alabama they would jump to the national championship. But, with all the hype between OU and Texas, wouldn't it be nice if Bama lost to florida moving OU to #1 and Texas to #2 and playing for the National Championship?
|
I am a KU fan...............................................
but I think MU has the desire and talent to shit-can OU and put TX back in play. You can't blame the Tigers for possibly looking past the Jayhawks this weekend. It's human nature. GO TIGERS!
|
Quote:
Oh definately. OU knocked MU out of National Champion contention last year, what better motivation that to return the favor this year to OU. |
