Sanchez is on KABC-LA: Draft decision coming
He stated that he'll decide in the next 3-4 days whether he'll return to USC or enter the NFL Draft.
When asked whether a possible USC National Championship awaits him in 2009: "USC is in that position every year". I think he'll enter the draft. |
Lets hope. Him or Stafford, please!
|
boy that would help us out....maybe something will finally break our way

How about a report, Dane?
|
He's a lot like Leinart which worries me.

Im not real big on him either especially at #3, **** that.
|
He reminds me of another LA college QB - Troy Aikman.

Does he not like Bradford since he's Native American? |

he does wear a USC uniform. |

If Richard Simmons could chuck the rock 40 yards on a rope I wouldn't give a shit if he was wearing a glamorous Jazzercise shirt with glittery sequins instead of a Chiefs uni. |

I thought Sanchez had a stronger arm than Leinart? I could be wrong though.

Additionally, the way he delivered the "Well, USC is in the position for a National Championship every year" line sounded more like "They'll be there, whether I am or not". And he said it'll be "fun" to make the decision. Again, I may be totally reading into his body language but I think he's entering the draft. |

Sounds like Dane Athan has the inside scoop! :D |

If he hadn't already made his decision, he'd be using all of the time allowed to make that decision. (January 15th) |

I got that impression also in an interview after the Rose Bowl. He wouldn't answer the reporter's question regarding entering the draft, but he seemed like he had already made a decision. I'm paraphrasing, but he said something like "I want to enjoy right now, this win, not worry about the future."

Sanchez compares more to Palmer if you want to use another SC QB to compare him to. Honestly the thing that worries the most is the Chiefs being in position for one of these guys then not taking him. |
Even with Sanchez possibly declaring, I still like both Stafford and Bradford better. I just like their track record better. I think Sanchez could benefit from another year of playing time in college.

Sanchez threads in to tight and multiple coverage better that any Quarterback he's seen step on that field, USC or opponent. |

I'd take Sanchez before Bradford without any hesitation. Now Stafford or Sanchez...tough question.

If you're saying that Bradford would be a better pro than Sanchez, we couldn't disagree more. |
Well Stafford knows that he'll be picked at least 3rd in the draft with previous evidence that was presented here.
|
I just don't see the track record comment, unless he's just referring to stats and nothing more.

I just find it ironic that ESPN thinks that Blackledge can judge QB talent, when he was such an epic bust. |

wow, well that confirms it then ........ we're going to the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Laz is here to tell us how SC sucks.

The draft decision is coming?
Hope it has a nut rag or something... |

Being able to evaluate talent has very little to do with your own talent. Whether Todd Blackledge is a good talent evaluator has very little to do with his own career as a player. |

By the way Scott Wright of NFL Draftcountdown had this to say..
Sanchez is the real deal, the only thing he is lacking is experience. Personally, I'd take him over Bradford... He is firmly behind Stafford. Like I said though, if I included everyone in my rankings Sanchez would be ahead of Bradford. He has fewer question marks and just as much upside, if not more. |
Sanchez is my first choice as well. I won't complain though if we get Stafford though.

I'd love to know what USC or Cali has to do with wanting the Chiefs to draft the best players....
College teams have shit to do with your NFL team, if you hate a college team so much you don't want those players on your pro team you have serious problems, it's not my fault SC is a good program and yours isn't. |
It's almost as bad as investing so much of yourself in a college team that you picked because their uniforms look cool.
