Hypothetical: Sanchez, Stafford and Bradford all declare

Sanchez, Bradford and Stafford all declare, what does your top 5 draft board look like?

talastan 01-05-2009 12:29 PM

1) Stafford QB
2) Smith OT
3) Sanchez QB
4) Oher OT
5) Bradford QB

Gravedigger 01-05-2009 12:30 PM

I've said it a bunch of times and I'll say it again Stafford or Bust.

OnTheWarpath15 01-05-2009 12:30 PM

Based on talent, not need.

Sanchez

Oher

Because he is a top 5 guy.

MIAdragon 01-05-2009 12:45 PM

Its funny that most knock Bradford for having SO much talent around him but Sanchez gets a pass?

BigCatDaddy 01-05-2009 12:47 PM

1. Stafford
2. Bradford
3. Oher
4. Mays
5. Curry

eazyb81 01-05-2009 12:49 PM

Rankings are fluid and will change after the combine. I also am excited to see how Bradford looks against the speed in Florida's defense. I expect he'll handle them well, but if not I might flip him with Sanchez.

1. Stafford
2. Bradford
3. Monroe
4. Sanchez
5. Curry

Oher and Smith are right there with Monroe, but personally I like Monroe better right now.

Archie Bunker 01-05-2009 12:51 PM

1. Sanchez
2. Stafford
3. Mays
4. Bradford
5. Orakpo

He shouldn't get a pass. Not to mention he's a 1 year starter in college. That scares me if I'm a team looking to draft him. Too many one year wonders flop in the NFL.

Mr. Laz 01-05-2009 12:58 PM

when i see bradford i get flashbacks of Ty Detmer ..... dunno why.

maybe it's that weird "flippy" passing motion he has

Sanchez gets professional coaching, plays in a pro system and is surrounded by pro talent IN COLLEGE. Aren't we pretty much seeing him in the best possible light? No where but down to go?

Stafford - played behind a shaky line with a pro level RB and basically one pro type receiver (3rd roundish?) He was in pro based system but it look pretty haphazard when i saw the games he played in .... leads me to believe that the coaching/playcalling was so so.

imo Stafford probably has the most upside and more "untapped" potential.

if Stafford is there .... you take him regardless of Bradford or Sanchez

The biggest knock on him is the spread offense, you know the offense that rarely puts our a good NFL QB... Oh and the fact that Sanchez has a lot more physical talent... and Bradford may be taller than Croyle, but he is built just as thin as he is.

jaa1025 01-05-2009 01:07 PM

1) Bradford

Why is his top 4 list so unrealistic?

I'll be the one with the last laugh as Freeman is leading the Chiefs to the SB and you all are begging to jump on the bandwagon.

Brown could jump that high with workouts but it would take alot. Curry isnt a rush backer so no way he is worth top 5.

jAZ 01-05-2009 01:55 PM

Should be an interesting draft.

This QB debate is starting to look like Manning vs Leaf.

Someone is likely to look really stupid in 5 years. I just have no idea who.

I would want Bradford.

It depends on ones draft philosophy. If you truly go by best available player/athlete then Curry could very well be in your top 5. Brown has been inconsistent, but when he is having a good game there aren't any prospects that I've seen in this years draft that match his first step and explosion off the ball.

We're getting a QB. Ain't no doubt now.

jidar 01-05-2009 03:09 PM

Mine doesn't change regardless.

The only QB in the top 5 is Stafford.

Um, maybe because he plays in a Pro-Style offense. He doesn't play in the Spread and he's not in the shotgun for every down.

Is there anyone here outside of Big 12 country that actually likes Bradford better than Stafford or Sanchez?

This whole Bradford thing like Josh Heupel. He was awesome!

I'm sure the Chiefs would love to have a 4 year starter like Eli Manning but they won't have that luxury.

I'd take Stafford, then Sanchez.

I'd avoid Bradford at all costs. Let someone else fall in love with him and trade up.

Mecca 01-05-2009 06:25 PM

According to Scott Wright from NFLDC...

Stafford is the undisputed #1 player and #1 QB.....he said if he put all players in his rankings Sanchez would be higher than Bradford and he has no question they'd all at worst be top 15 picks.

I think Detroit is going to snatch Stafford right up. If they do, Stafford is going to bust. If they don't, the kid could go to the hall of fame.
