Time for a change.

Clark Hunt now runs the team instead of Lamar. We are bringing in a new GM and a coaching change is imminent. A renovated football stadium is under construction and the Chiefs are the youngest team in the league.

I think its time to change jerseys. I would still keep the logo and probably even the whole helmet, but the Chiefs probably have the most bland jerseys in the league (besides the Browns). If there were ever a time for a change it is now.

aturnis 01-11-2009 05:59 PM

Stupid thread.

kstater 01-11-2009 06:00 PM

**** no.

Deberg_1990 01-11-2009 06:01 PM

Personally, id like a Jersey change. Ive thought about it many years actually. But it wont happen.

aturnis 01-11-2009 06:01 PM

Let's put some flames on them, and some racing stripes to make us look faster. Then some gold sequencing on the sleeves. Yeah, that'd be badass.

aturnis 01-11-2009 06:02 PM

What's wrong with being one of the few teams in the league takes pride in their tradition and history? Honestly, the only reason the Chiefs haven't changed up their jerseys, is b/c they didn't have god awful butt ugly jerseys from the start.

Bugeater 01-11-2009 06:02 PM

Eh, changing jerseys is just a gimmick to boost apparel sales.

Bane 01-11-2009 06:03 PM

The jersey isn't the problem, its the people in them.

DaneMcCloud 01-11-2009 06:03 PM

No way, Dude.

The Chiefs have the best uni's in the NFL. There's absolutely no reason to change.

Exactly:clap:

DeezNutz 01-11-2009 06:04 PM

It would be great if we could get something manly and tough looking like the Chargers.

So no flames? No sequence?

The Bad Guy 01-11-2009 06:05 PM

I'd like to see an alternative one worn, but the jerseys should stay the same.

I would say the Steelers take pride in their history. They updated their jerseys while still maintaining the best elements of those from the steel curtain days.

Bane 01-11-2009 06:06 PM

The only change I want to see with our jersey's is seeing more of them on mon nights, and in the playoffs!!!!

I'd put those on the cheerleader's uniforms.

As a diversion to their, ahem, beauty.

The Chargers Powder Blues would disagree.

They don't count because the PB's aren't their standard season uniforms.

I know what you're saying, b/c it'd be cool to have a throwback to go to. Like the powder blues of San Diego or something. Ours would be just the same though, and making a new one for alternative purposes would be just as gimmicky as disney on ice. It's disney....and it's on ice. Get it! It's on ice!

I posted this here a while back, actually. I used subtle changes, but still, I love our current set.

If anything needs an update, it's our cheerleaders! I DO NOT CARE IF THEY ARE TALENTED! I want cheerleaders who look like the cheerleaders of the Seahawks, Bucs, Cowboys, Chargers and the likes of those. Surely there are a handful of incredibly hot, semi-coordinated women residing in Kansas City!

Brock 01-11-2009 06:14 PM

Put more black on them /reeruns

don't care for the helmet.

EDIT: actually, looking again. I don't care for all the gold outlining of the numbers either. Looks like there's more than usual.

The all red would be cool.
Dont get me wrong, Im not calling for a complete revamp like when Denver changed their jerseys, just a modernizing. Although some kind of cool alternate similar to powder blues would be cool. But powder blue screams pansy in my opinion

L.A. Chieffan 01-11-2009 06:20 PM

the unis and helmets HAVE changed since the 60's. Personally I like the old helmets better than the current ones.
