Kansas Courts

If you want to find out about any court case, tickets, etc for someone in Missouri, you can go to the following site.

https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/ca...earchType=name

However, I can't find anything like this for Kansas. A friend of mine is trying to look up someone in Cowley County (Winfield, Arkansas City), and I'm trying to help her. Getting nowhere, though. Help? Link?

No shit, really? (/sarcasm) Does that mean I can't ask a question about something not related?

LMAO

That came across wrong, didn't it? I have until 5pm to find what I can before I leave work. I have plans after work, so I won't be home until later tonight. Just seeing what I might find before I left for the day.

I don't think they've had any felonies. Just looking up criminal background.

BigVE 01-23-2009 04:55 PM

This might help then: http://www.dc.state.ks.us/kasper

That link is only good for people who have gone to prison or community corrections on their case. But if that's what you're looking for then it would have it (that site is called "KASPER")

Most Kansas Courts do not have any kind of online access to records. They'd probably like to, I think it's probably a funding issue. Iowa, I think also has this statewide access to records. But in our state, two counties (as far as I know) have online records available, Johnson County and Shawnee County. But to access the Shawnee Co. site, you have to be an attorney and get them to give you a password for access. The Johnson Co. site, though is available to anyone, and details what's happening in the case to some degree.

It is here:

http://www.jococourts.org/

By the way, that MO site you listed is how I found out about B. Rush's child support case that people at 610 had no interest in letting people know about (though it was a public record).

Just a quick drive by posting... when I had the bar in legal troubles in Salina I used the public databases posted on the Washburn Law School website to find and quote precedent for KS cases.

Don't know if the databases still exist but I've got lawyer type friends in KS that swear that the Washburn website is almost always their first stop.

They are working on it.

Though, I must say, they are relying on IBM's Lotus Notes to connect to the Federal Court system. That combined with the recent disgust the White House staff has let known are good reasons why we need to invest in our infrastructure at the current point.

I looked up a girl I know and she had a "CC Adult Abuse Stalking" under case type, and under style of case it said "Protection Order".

Does that mean she put a with straining order on someone or did someone do it to her?
