When did you lose interest?

I've been living with my girlfriend for awhile and we've been together for a little more than two years now. While I haven't lost interest in her, i'm not all that into the sex anymore. She's definitely the initiator now and I find myself becoming more flirtatious with other women.

I've cheated on girls in the past, but don't wanna go that route this time. I plan on trying to put down the xbox this week and stepping up the flowers and romance thing. It should also help that football season is wrapping up

How long did it take for you guys if ever? What did you do to help?

JOhn 01-27-2009 03:36 PM

Now that I'm single I tend to lose interest as soon as we're done, or she start talking ROFL

Gonzo 01-27-2009 03:38 PM

Eh...It happens on occasion when you've been with the same person for a long time. Iv'e been with my wife for almost 15 yrs now. She's still smoking hot so that helps and the fact that she's a freak in the sack.....

One thing I might suggest is trying to hit a line drive up the 2 hole. That's exciting when she's not expecting it. ROFL

Try introducing things like toys, lingerie, posting nude pics on C.P. etc. That'll always help.

Gonzo 01-27-2009 03:38 PM

2 years. yup, thats about right.

actually, thats pretty normal. After the "honeymoon" phase its not all about the sex anymore, then its about commitment, friendship, the simple things, the good stuff.

then kids come, fights start, you masterbate a lot, finally it all ends in tatters and you lose everything, now she betrays you, your "friends" turn on you, the people at your church tell you, this is wrong, you must stay together, and you scream at them "Its not me!! Shes the one that wants the divorce!!!! but it doesnt matter, they blame you anyway so they ignore you and when they start ignoring your kids thats the last straw, im leavin this place, and then the economy goes bad and you get the pink slip, now youve lost your marriage, youve lost your home, you lost your job, you lost your money, your kids are all confused and your hopes for them have been dashed and you even lost your place of worship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

.......oh wait........sorry, dude...........

what was the question?????

Katipan 01-27-2009 03:43 PM

I cheated on my ex-husband, but that was long after we stopped communicating or fornicating. So I always took the stance that it wasn't cheating. When he caught me somewhere I wasn't supposed to be, he took the opposite stance.

I've only lost that loving feeling once. And that was because he was a complete... well... fiasco.

Any other relationship ended because of other issues.

When you lose it. You lose it. Run.

Sure-Oz 01-27-2009 03:47 PM

You ask yourself....do you love her? Can you picture your life better with or without her? If not, gtfo and stop wasting her time.

Ive been with mine for 2 years and we are best friends, and i wouldn't trade her for anyone period. show her you care about her, the longer you ignore her the less you realize you are ****ing it up. Some women will put up with it, but others won't and will find someone that cares just as much about them as she does you. I have one of those, but i know other people that just settle and live with that bullshit. Treat her good man, esp if you love her.

Demonpenz 01-27-2009 03:49 PM

I was scrolling down and I could see that chicks head and I knew by the way the photo was shot what was next.

Demonpenz 01-27-2009 03:49 PM

Oh well that and there was a dude's trail to glory to the left of the screen

Saulbadguy 01-27-2009 03:49 PM

Ask her for a Ménage à trois. It can only end well, trust me.

MaxFects 01-27-2009 03:56 PM

So break up or have threesomes and anal haha, good stuff. I dont think one girl would be enough after two though.

The Franchise 01-27-2009 03:57 PM

You need to figure out why you aren't into sex that much anymore. Is it the actual sex or is it her. Try spicing things up.....if that doesn't work then you need to decide if you love her enough to stay with her.

Brock 01-27-2009 03:59 PM

Welcome to being married. Except you have the big advantage of being able to pack your shit and leave without consequence.

sounds like you're going the right direction. Give her attention to get the spark back in it. One question, what if she's lost interest more than you? Not trying to be mean.

I've lost interest after a long time of feeling neglected in the relationship myself. First wife when she was hanging out with the neighbor too much. My second wife really made me feel emasculated. After five years I acted on feelings with a girl that made me feel more manly. of course now I'm divorced twice....

the answer to your question has to be "it's situational"

I think if you analyze that sentence you'll find the source of your problem.

Put the damn toy in the closet and play with your woman instead. If you find yourself unable to do so, you may want to check yourself into Video Games Anonymous.

But I often became invested in the situation again around 2:00 am the following night (morning).

As for help: Google "booze."

ah, another "TWO-TIMER"

my first hung out too much with the assistant manager at the grocery store she worked at.
the second was like listening to Alec Baldwin's monologue in "Gengarry Glen Ross" for 17 years. Emasculated?? I'll let you know when i find those suckers. I think she kicked them out during the first Clinton Administration.

I need someone who will make me feel more respected and appreciated, someone who wont leave me feeling traumatised after lovemaking, someone who will raise my level of self esteem from what it has been.

I going to find an escort on backpage.com

This is why women invented marriage and lawyers. They become boring, fat, bitchy, demanding, and downright nasty. Then your dumb ass figures out you married Beelezebub with an attitude and your sitting with a 6-pack wondering where 1/2 your shit went.

MaxFects 01-27-2009 04:52 PM

BJs? not a porn star or anything but good. She's hot also, but no pics! not after snitching that's been going on around here.

Oh and I know about asking advice on a forum, but I'm just more curious about how common this is. Like if it can be an up and down thing, or it happens once and then you've fixed the problem, or if it was never the same again.

In may I will have been married to one woman for 20 years. We dated for a year before marriage. So, for amost 21 years, I have commited myself to this one relationship and this one relationship only. Through this almost 20 years of marriage, I have yet to lose interest in her as a person, nor have I lost interest in her intimately.

I'll let you know if I ever do, but I have a feeling that as long as I keep investing in our relationship like I should I'll lose the ability to be intimate with her before I lose the desire to.

I must admit, your vast array of knowledge over things you have little to no personal experience with seems to have no boundries whatsoever.

DTLB58 01-27-2009 07:13 PM

We Will have been married 20 years this August and we lived together for 5 years before marrage and dated 5 years before that. So yah, we have been together a while.

What was the first thing I did when I came home from work tonight? I walked over to the stove where she was standing cooking supper and grabbed her ass. :D

We are doing great :)

It dosen't mean you don't have thoughts or fantasy's from time to time. That dosen't necesarily mean you want to cheat or don't love eachother anymore.

One thing I've always done, if we have a fight or disagreement I sleep on it. More times than not I change my mind or at least compromise.

Mecca 01-27-2009 07:15 PM

I can speak from experience, because I have been married almost ten years. Got married when I was 19, and cheated on her, justifying it with saying I wasn't attracted to her. Loss of physical affection happens for every couple at some point. For me I felt it was coming in spurts. We talked and talked when she found out I had cheated, and through that I was able to work out they why of it all. I would say just tell her what is going on with the attraction issue. That is what we did and we are that much stronger for it. My wife is now dieting and working out because she wants to look her best for me. Just talk to her man. Hope this helps :)
