The Chiefs wouldn't have traded Tony G. And they wouldn't have traded for Cassel. Thiggy would be the starting QB.

yep... I think he said at some point that Thigpen would be the QB in 09 before he was fired.

And our hopes would have been oh so high. Then we would have them CRUSHED! I will give Pioli/Haley the benefit of the doubt until the season starts.

Herm's defense would have been significantly improved with Curry and Brown.

Never said that. But I do think the 4-3 is a better fit for the current roster. and Curry and Brown would have fit well. And I really believe that those guys would have been the picks for Herm and Carl.

Good idea. Let's build our defense around a roster that went 2-14 last year.

hey.. it's just conjecture. I think that is the way it would played out. And the way the hand was dealt, and with Carl and Herm's likely preferences, it could have been a good draft for the chiefs.

the pioli draft may turn out well. I just don't see it right now. hopefully Tyson is the 2nd coming of Seymour.

A USC QB for Carl Peterson? I can almost guarantee you he wouldn't have even considered it.

Curry would have built a rolling roof for free over the stadiums out of recycled aluminum cans if we signed him. I can't believe they didn't take that into consideration...

I think we can take a pretty good guess that Curry would have been the first pick especially since Herm said it on espn and Brown looks pretty likely with the 2nd round pick with the need for a pass rusher in the 4-3.

Herm said he needed to fill about 5 holes in one of his last press conference, so you can take some pretty good guesses to which picks fill those obvious holes that Herm had in mind.

I would actually see them taking Crabtree over Curry for some reason.

I think the defense did get alot better with Flowers and Carr, in a dissapointing season they were some of the bright spots. And I think that he has a good point, Curry would've been better than any of our LB's except for Pat Thomas of course... let me tell ya seeing on ESPN's coverage that our Key Departures that Pat Thomas was one of them made me laugh every time.

Not to mention if Herm and Carl would've stayed Gun would've been the scape goat. Guaranteed.

Talent wise we may have improved but statistically it was probably one of the worst defensive unit to be fielded by KC.

Big 12. Carl was great at that and taking guys from UCLA.
