Matt Cassel on 810 WHB tomorrow
Matt Cassel will be on BTL tomorrow on 810 WHB around 3:30. According to KK, he will open up the phone lines and Cassel will answer questions from some of the listners. Sounds cool, can't wait!
EDIT: KK said at the beginning of the show that he may not be on! He's obviously not on so I guess they were not able to get him. |
Will he be incarcerated at Arrowhead during the phoner?
Free Matt!!! |
Now, when you say "tomorrow", do you mean Today (Wednesday) or tomorrow (Thursday)?

(Though he's not listed on today's programming roster) Dude, you could be in for a massive Planet beat-down. Just sayin'. |
I thought it was 3:30

There is a slight difference between 2:30 and 3:30. |

My mistake, my bad; as you were. (He's still not on the programming roster though; you would think they MIGHT want to put that on the shows page, yes?) |

He's not going to say anything groundbreaking. More of the same. |

Some guy called in and is telling Keitzman to leave the show LOL
|
I hope they still have time for Smoke n Fire.

That was right after he made that amazing play for the game tying TD aginst the Jets. A throw Thigpen couldn't make.

It's really not that funny. He had a nice game there obviously and won nine more games as a QB than the Chiefs did. Yet, Claythan will pimp LJ who I still have my fingers crossed will be cut just in the nick of time to avoid that salary.
|
I don't know what's so funny about it. I'm warming up to Cassel.

He had great stats, but lost - and that's OK. The fanbase needs just as much a change in attitude as the team does. |

This will be typical Cassel. He'll throw out the first couple words of a sentence and Welker and Moss will finish it for him.

brilliant, they have some chef on who cooked rabbit in wine and no one liked it...they couldn't even lie about it, freakin idiots
"i don't like food cooked in wine" typical camaro heads "you brought rice too..." "that's risotto..." |
Isn't 810 suppose to be a sports talk show?
|
keitzman is a god damn moron

At the beginning of the show, KK said Cassel may not come. That would suck if he could not go on. I was interested in hearing fans speak to him and ask him questions..

This is a classic example of that. Why is it Cassel's fault that he tied the game, the game went into overtime, and then a reeruned rule allowed the Jets to win the game without the Pats' offense ever touching the field? |

Kietz: Now the part of the show everyone's been waiting for, we won't keep you any longer...........SMOKE N' FIRE!
|
ah man well its bbq hour what the heck is going on with 810?

That change in attitude should start with yourself. |

But they didn't win the game, and that is ALL that matters. People here don't get that. They'd rather make excuses as to why it's not his fault. Right or wrong, the QB gets the glory when his team wins, and takes the heat when they lose. Just a price to pay for playing the most important position on the field. |
Someone call in and tell Keitzman nobody gives a **** about rabbit bbq

IS this today or not?

And this BBQ talk is gay. KC Radio Sucks.

I'm still missing something I think. What does Cassel's performance in that Pats/Jets game have to do with the point you're trying to make?

|

he's still not on?
|
KK said he may not be on for whatever reason. He's obviously not on. I guess he couldn''t make it. Am I the only one that heard KK say that?

Is he on yet?....

"Something came up". Cassel won't be on and the guy on the radio said it's not Cassel's fault.
|
So....not now?

Nobody's saying losing is OK, I don't get where this generalization comes from. |

Quote:
Yes, he played a phenomenal game. I realize that, and even respect it. But the team lost. Period. The generalization comes from years of BS excuse making for the average/below average QB's we've had following Lenny. People act like Trent Green was robbed of a few SB rings because the defense was so shitty. He was a slightly above average QB who put up numbers, but when things were on the line, often threw the big INT or came up short. And this is coming from one of the biggest TG fans on the planet - I've played against him in HS, and spoken to him on several occasions, and you won't meet a greater guy. A similar argument is made for Thigpen. You know how it goes, "all he needs is A, B, C, D, E, F and G for him to succeed." "It's not his fault." The great one's don't need excuses made for them, they go out and put a team on their shoulders and make it happen. Like I said before, the QB is the most important position on the field, and the responsibility they carry is like no other. They get all the glory when the team wins, and take the heat when the team loses. Just the way it is. Winning > individual statistics. |
Quote:
Please explain how he could have "gone out and put the team on his shoulders and make it happen" anymore in that game? |
