The trick there to go through 2 boards is to place spacers (ie: pencils) at the edges.

You should have gone with the Shuto much easier to break two boards, also you are pulling your punch to the surface of the board aim 6 inches below the board and it will snap. Also i find going horizontal helps me...

Here's the thing that's funny....the second time he tried the two boards, he had to move something that was about a foot away from where he was standing with his foot, as if that had something to do with his not going through the boards.
