Pollard can be an asset if played on running downs and special teams. Let him crowd the line or give him gap coverage on 1st downs then get him the hell out of there on passing situations.

I think he's got a shot, but in a soft zone with zero pass rush, you're going to need excellent decision-making skills and insane speed.

Pollard belongs on the edge rushing punters, and as a 2nd string safety.

While Brown isn't lighting it up, he is a lock to make the roster, with the likes of trash like Morgan around.

Let's just face it, Pioli has to completely build this franchise from the ground up.

Games like today tell us what we already know: we need to completely invent a passrush, beef up our WR corps, need a NT, at least one new starting safety, revamp our OL, touch up our backfield and gain depth across the board at every position but QB.

Pioli's up to the task, but it's not going to be a Vermeil-like three year project.

Page gets it and has looked better at run support and tackling. Maybe Pollard needs benched and try and block some punts like he did his first 2 years and pollish his tackling on kick and punt coverage. Bench him a few games and he gets another shot once Brown gets hurt.

On a side note, Morgan didn't do anything special but he looked half ass like he knew what he was doing and actually gave a shit out there last night. Sad it takes having his roster spot on the line.
