You know what really grinds my gears?
I've been noticing statements like, "Cassel will get killed against the Ravens."
Why the Ravens, guys? Our offensive line is shitty, right? Does it make any difference if he gets hit 10 times against the Ravens or 10 times against the Giants? How about the Eagles? It makes no ****ing difference if it's the Ravens. He's GOING to get hit. EVERY damn game. If he's a tough QB, he'll take a beating and get up at the end of the play. Something Brodie Croyle does not do. Sorry, that's a nitpicky thing that's been bugging me. Carry on. |

We play the Ravens in week 1, he won't be around to get killed in any of the other games.
|
Maybe because the line can get gel a little and the offense can get in some kind of rythem after several weeks.
|
Because one can only get killed once.
And the Ravens are batting leadoff. |
Why do all threads end up with the same argument....
CUT THIGPEN OL STINKS CASTLE DEAD WEEK 1 PIOLI IS CARL 0-16 ????? they all turn into pissing matches about the same thing... |

Easy he's already injured, and if he starts now while he can't move around the pocket sufficiently then the KC would just burn 63 million dollars because he can't get out of trouble with his legs.
|
He's a cat!
9 lives!!!! |
We really should just run the ****ing veer.
|
I agree whole-heartedly.
Coddling Cassel helps...no one. |
"Back to you, Tom."
|
I'll bet all my casino cash if someone wants to bet that none of our QB's gets hurt to a point where they can't play in the next game. People are overreacting, but not by much. Our O-Line sucks.
|
I know it's unlikely, but I'll laugh my ass off if we somehow win Sunday.
You'd think this was North Colorado vs. the '85 Bears. |

I agree. I'm going to give it a few games before I declare this season a complete failure. |

Wasn't Cassel one of the most sacked QBs in the league last year? That may be part of the reason he was traded for.
|
going up against guys like trevor pryce.. haloti ngata... and terrell suggs is a task for very good lines... this is likley the reason they are saying hell be killed vs the ravens... lol

Go harass the Titans board. I mean if they hadn't fumbled the game away to you guys last year, you don't win shit. I guarantee they stomp a mud hole in your ass this season. |
Quote:
Last time the Chiefs played at Balitmore, our HORRIBLE defense held your team to 250 yards of total offense. Your amazing Defense got bent over in front of the entire nation. Ray-Ray,"They are double-teaming me every play!" ROFL If the ballgame gets put on your "franchise" QB, you guys are screwed. Good Luck! |

Ray Ray was miked up, and we were running ALL OVER his ass. Someone que the gif of Rey Rey getting PWNED by Will Shields. |
60% of the qb's the ravens have faced have atleast been listed as probable the next week, 45% or so questionable
|
|
oh you mean back when you had a good o line, and qb... and we had billick and boller... lol differant world today folks lol
|
are some of you chiefs fans this delusional. that you cannot give other teams in the league credit, that ... they are actually good teams with talent. i know the team we cheer for gives us a loser mentality but there is no argument, we have no talent to stop this guy:

dont forget about the last time we played when we whored you in kansas city... short memory i guess
|
You, America. **** YOU!

Not pushing in on the clutch all the way when you are shifting?
|
What do you trolls want to hear? We won 2 games last year. You guys went to the conference title game. We're not supposed to win this game. If you guys take care of business, whatever. Who cares. The only team with anything significant to lose here is you.

Have a little fun with it. My god, next to Mecca, I may be the biggest cynic on this board. It still doesn't hurt to prod the other team's fans a little, especially when they traveled onto our board to talk trash. I am just stating facts on the history of this series. Any dumb**** (I'm am looking your direction FlaccotoClayton) knows that the Chiefs are a completely different team that is talent depleted, has a horrible O-Line, banged up QB, and a unknown quantity on defense. We have NEVER lost at Baltimore against the Ravens. Ever. |

If the Ravens win, whip-dee-doo....very, very few Chief fans were expecting a win....or for the game to even be close. Also, you come around, talk smack for a few days, realize nobody gives two shits and leave for the next 2-3 years until we play Baltimore again. If the Chiefs DO pull off the upset, you're too embarassed to show your pathetic face here OR you show up quickly to call it a fluke. Still, you better hope your team wins because if they don't it won't necessarily be us talking shit about your team. You'll be dealing with other AFC contenders fans (y'know, teams your own size) that will be sure to remind you every week the rest of the season that you lost to one of the shittiest teams in football. |
Quote:
(though I think another year or two out we will look ok; CP and Herm just totally destroyed any semblance of a football team) |
The truth is that most fans really don't see much of a shot for KC to beat Baltimore. Hell, the Ravens D looked very ready to make a point of showing Sanchez life in the NFL isn't easy in that earlier Jets preseason game. Just a decent showing without any injuries would be a start for us. I would just hate to see anything happen to make that Raiders game tougher to win. We have a chance at that one for sure.
|
a Flacco to Clayton touchdown pass happens what?...once every 2 years...
|
Some defenses are more aggressive and violent than others. The Ravens and Steelers WILL hurt you if you don't have you shit together.
There is a difference |

seriously???? :spock: Of course the defense makes a difference, you dumbass. |
YESSSSS!! We are attracting trolls again from outside the division. I love this time of year.

Every hit in the NFL is the same. People who say Cassel is going to die week 1 are insulting Cassel by saying he can't take hits. Let's say the Ravens hit him 10 times in a game. What if he were playing the Raiders week 1 and got hit only 6 times? Do those 4 extra hits delivered by the Ravens put him in the stretcher? I know why people think, "the Ravens have a tough defense. We're weak. We're going to lose" and then equate it with our players getting injured. But it's still a ****ing myth. One thing does not lead to the other. If you're going to say he'll die against the Ravens, then you may as well predict Cassel will get injured every time he steps onto the field. |

1. The better the defense, the harder it is on the QB 2. The more physical the defense, the more risk for the QB 3. The better the defensive line specifically the worse for us 4. The better the DE's the worse for our QB because of our OT's 5. The better the Defense blitzes the worse for the QB Hypothetically if a QB could choose which defense he played against every game all year long, not a single QB would pick the Ravens. Why? OF COURSE THE DEFENSE MAKES A DIFFERENCE, YOU FUGTARD. |

SNR, There is a reason that there are a ton of injuries when the Steelers and Ravens play each other. They just are more physical. Do you think Squirmin Herman mother ****ing sack of **** Edwards' soft ass Tampon 2 hits just as hard and causes just as many injuries as does the brual ass shit that the Steelers and Ravens are bringing?

They may have updated the scoreboards and sound, but the same shitty in-game production remains. |

@Ravens @Eagles (if they are still blitz happy) Steelers even these are tough Giants (great DE's which will just kill us) @Jags (usually physical) @Redskins (can you imagine what Haynesworth is gonna do to Niswanger and Goff?) |

Take a look at the two hits which brought injuries to BC in his NFL career. In the first game last year against NE, he took a number of shots due to weak O-line blocking until he went down in the 3rd quarter due to a defender driving his right arm/shoulder into the turf. In his next game back, BC again stood tough until he received simultaneous high/low sandwich hits. On either play, nearly any other QB in the league taking such hits would be out with injuries as well. In the last preseason game of this year alone, BC went down hard from behind-his-back tackle by a DE rushing past a worthless Lame-ion Sackintosh and took other hits as well. And yet he stood up after each one and continued taking them without needing a stretcher at any point. Get this guy some decent blocking and he'll throw that ball with accuracy downfield, resulting in the defense being stretched to provide more effectiveness in the running and short passing games. And STOP bugging the crap out of me!! |

Actually, he may be somewhat correct. I have been pleasantly surprise by how Croyle has taken some hits this preseason and not been injured by them. The guy was injury prone in college and also once he got some playing time in the NFL. That has always been the biggest knock on him, IMO. Of course, I also wondered how much of that had to do with Herm's crappy luck regarding QB injuries due to his Club Med conditioning program. Hopefully, those days are over. If not, Brodie won't be around long.
