DeezNutz 09-20-2009 09:41 AM

Charles?

Injured?

Coogs 09-20-2009 09:41 AM

What's up with Charles?

Hootie 09-20-2009 09:41 AM

no Thiggy or Charles?!?!? NO WILDCAT?!?!?

doomy3 09-20-2009 09:42 AM

Good to see Thigpen and Gut inactive. Must mean Cassel is close to 100%.

WTF is Jamaal Charles inactive though???

LaChapelle 09-20-2009 09:42 AM

The Thigcat is dead. Thigpen was only insurance for Croyle.

Hootie 09-20-2009 09:43 AM

I bet Scurry goes for 100 today...

Coogs 09-20-2009 09:43 AM

No Copper. Wade is in.

The Bad Guy 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

Gutierrez should enjoy his last day as a member of the Chiefs today.

Stewie 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

So, we still don't know if it's Croyle/Cassel or Cassel/Croyle?

kstater 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

DOOMED

the Talking Can 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

damn, wut up charles

Deberg_1990 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

Only 2 Active QB's today??

Blindside58 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

Charles???...Just read that Wes Welker is inactive as well for the Pats, for FFBers..

Hammock Parties 09-20-2009 09:44 AM

35 carries for Larry

pound that ****ing rock

(for 85 yards lol)

Justin Fargas is inactive. That guy gashed us a couple of years ago.

Frees up a roster spot. If 2 QB's go down enough to stay out, TT is the emergency QB. If he comes in, the other two can't come back in.

Charles just isn't an NFL back. He just cannot stay healthy.

Same as last year.

Every NFL team declares their 3rd QB inactive. He's the emergency guy. When he goes in, the other 2 active QBs can not.

It might be part of the gameplan. Maybe they want to use Battle.

If I could go back and do it over...I'd just give away all of those picks and keep Jared Allen...including the ones we didn't get in a trade.

Nah. Especially if we're still going to the 34 with him.

But between LJ and JA, we definitely chose unwisely.

Mr. Laz 09-20-2009 09:57 AM

Whatever will we do without terrance Copper?

If Tamba Hali can transition from a 4-3 end to a 3-4 LB and be successful, I'm pretty sure Jared Allen could have been DeMarcus Ware for us.

Coogs 09-20-2009 09:58 AM

I wonder if Wade is going to be a return guy today since Charles is down?

Has he?

Last week I saw one sack and a lot of Hali getting put on his ass. And I'm not even touching the Ware bit, cause you've clearly been smoking.

morphius 09-20-2009 09:59 AM

I think they decided to give savage a try since he is a better returner than Charles.

I bet Hali ends up with 10 sacks this year...which would be a shocking/successful transition...

AND

What makes you think that Allen couldn't be Ware-esque as a 3-4 rush linebacker?

Bob Dole 09-20-2009 10:09 AM

Bob Dole is happy not to see Mark Castle's name on that list.

Jamaal Charles-RB- Chiefs Sep. 20 - 11:54 am et

Chiefs declared RB Jamaal Charles, OG Andy Alleman, TE Brad Cottam, Matt Gutierrez, LB Pierre Walters, CB Ricardo Colclough, WR Terrance Copper, and third QB Tyler Thigpen inactive for Week 2.
Charles' deactivation is a big surprise because he is healthy. The Chiefs may be rolling with only Jackie Battle behind Larry Johnson with plans to attack the Raiders on the ground. Charles is a passing-down specialist.

Yeah, because Larry Johnson, Jackie Battle, and Dantrell Savage offer any playmaking ability.

Jackie Battle is one of those medicore players most on this board love

yeah...I mean...Larry didn't run for a huge gain in the preseason...or two 60+ yard runs last year...

at this point...that's all Larry has to offer...0 yard gains or 15+ yard gains...more A than B...but that's all he is.

This is the problem with being a box score expert. Did you see those preseason runs? He ran through a 5 yard hole on the left side of the line against St. Louis.

Larry Johnson is a broke dick dog with no vision and no receiving skills. Charles, although not an every down back, gives our offense a dimension and game breaking ability that no one else on O, save for Bowe, does.

DaFace 09-20-2009 10:30 AM

CBS reports that Cassel is definitely the starter.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Larry turn in a...18 carry, 85 yard performance today.

Of course, let's also not forget that being the best of a shit lot doesn't make you a great back.

Hammock Parties 09-20-2009 10:34 AM

This is definitely what is going on.

We are loading up with two tight ends and we are going to pound two giant ****ing running backs all day long.

Battle and LJ.

No, it doesn't.

But I have seen hardly anything out of Charles that would suggest he's better than LJ, even in his broken down state.

Yes, he's a homerun hitter, but 90% of the time, he can't get his feet under him.

But that would be LJ...

Would take a 26 carry 165 yards and 2 tds...

The Seahawks game he really flashed...

I think people are going to realize he's better when he takes on a guy in the open field by the end of the year.

Charles has vision at least. He can hit his first hole. LJ hasn't done that since 2007. And not to mention, it looks like LJ's wearing concrete boots out there.

Charles is the better back right now IMO.

And 90% of the time, Larry goes for -1, 0, or 2 yards.

I guess I'll take Adam Dunn over John Buck, even if their average is roughly similar.

I personally think this isn't true at all.

Haley wouldn't tolerate it.

There's just no running room.

You have hit the nail on the head with BATTLE!! Battle has probably outperformed Charles this last week in practice and does NOT fumble the ball! Haley sending a strong Parcells type of message to 'the player'!:thumb:

Agree 110%

LJ wont be on this team much longer... Probably survive this year... But RB's are a dime a dozen... Especially ones that are hungry to run and prove themselves in the NFL...

LJ has been paid. He is the new Leon...

Spot on. I'll take Charles ability to take it to the house on any given play over Johnson's 0 yds and a cloud of suck every day.
