i don't think work would let me get away with it.

LaChapelle 11-01-2009 07:46 PM

You can't shave anything?

UteChief 11-01-2009 07:48 PM

UPS doesn't allow facial hair. At least not on the men. So I'm out.

Hammock Parties 11-01-2009 07:48 PM

I just shaved down to the bone last night. What the hell, I'm in.

Reaper16 11-01-2009 07:49 PM

I already have a beard. Me > November.

SLAG 11-01-2009 07:50 PM

I had a head start as well - anyone game for posting daily pix?

:D

Stanley Nickels 11-01-2009 07:50 PM

'Hamas' Jenkins 11-01-2009 07:51 PM

Haven't shaved since Thursday b/c I was going as Dexter for Halloween. Didn't shave today because I'm hungover and filthy.

What the hell. I'm in.

Fire Me Boy! 11-01-2009 07:52 PM

Well..... I've got Octobeard and Septembeard under my belt, might as well go for the trifecta.

However, a fondness for USC and 1994 heavy metal hair is not.

You try having to shave your legs all the time. I would think shaving the knees would be like shaving the chin, and women have two knees.

And women have no chin.

One shot to the face and they fold like cheap napkins.

Other than that yo-....Wait. No, it's still a flawed argument.

If every day you had to take a blade TO YOUR FACE instead of makeup, creams, and ****ing eyelash lengthening ****ing nonsense you might have a more valid reason to be moody.

Ever try shaving your balls? We have two of those too, and most women have none.

Plus, it's a pretty sensitive area.

I've grown mine in over the last couple of weeks. I can't do the no shaving/trimming thing though; I get an Orton style neck beard if I don't shave somewhat.

I think this phenomenon should be reserved for the hockey play offs and no other time.

JuicesFlowing 11-02-2009 11:20 AM

I'm in. I'd actually planned this anyway, I had no idea there'd be a thread about it or that it was called "Novembeard."

I agree. I do it for my team if they qualify. But now there are all kinds of people trying to rip off the tradition, people doing it for no reason like this. Baseball fans doing it when the players aren't even doing it. High school teams grow out their high school wispy mustaches. It's silly. It's a hockey tradition and should stay there in my opinion.

Well posting it on an internet forum is kind of like asking the whole world what they think.

Perhaps you should check out Movember and you'd see that it is not "for no reason".

From http://us.movember.com/about/

Quote:

A Mo Bro starts Movember – the month formerly known as November – clean shaven, and grows a moustache all month long, garnering support from friends and family in the form of donations. What’s more, a Mo Bro is a walking billboard for the cause as his new look opens the door for him to talk about cancers affecting men – making the moustache a symbol, much like the pink ribbon is for breast cancer.
This Movember, the money raised in the U.S. will be split between the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

wild1 11-02-2009 12:52 PM

Well, very nice. It was not in the opening post however.

bowener 11-02-2009 01:10 PM

I clean shaved my face on October 31st for my costume. I will definitely participate in no-shave November (especially now, after getting razor burn on my neck and chin from my piece of shit razor... ****ing blows).

Side note: Me not shaving for a month will probably look like most of you after a week... its a blessed curse.
