To the 4 Horsemen....

You guys are some of my favorite posters here... I just want to console you on this victory today... I know it hurts and your pissed beyond words at Haley for not scoring eleventybillion points...

But Haley in all his stupidity, took 22 guys off the street and doubled Herms win total while knocking the Donkey bitch ****s out of the playoffs, you guys can at least smile...

I feel for you guys and would be honored to buy you all a round of cold beers followed by your favorite shot.

Have a great new year! This offseason is going to be a blast... Chiefs football is back!

I could care less if you agree with my opinion or not. We could all agree, hold hands, say Go Chiefs, and be thankful that we were back to the good ol' days of the BB.

I think we won in spite of Haley today.

Fantastic victory. Happy as hell it happened, and I love to put the screws to the Donkeys.

That said, this game NEVER should have been close. Please, explain where and how I'm wrong and how Haley's management of today's game contributed to the win.

I'll start: loved the aggressiveness on the first series. But, in typical Haley fashion, he's not prudent and logical with his approach. Castille, FTW.

Castille on the carry inside the 10. **** that Charles guy.

Just be glad that Denver's QB is as incompetent as our own.

I didn't like the playcall, but I'm not going to blame Haley for that God awful pass that Castille threw. He never even looked to see if Cassel was open. That's the kind of play where you only throw it if he's WIDE OPEN. Bad playcall, but even worse execution.

Just got to the awful throwback play. Not sure WTF that was.

So, this win is more due to McDaniels losing it than it is us winning it? Color me surprised with that take.

Although I am a Haley fan, the trick play in the first half was absolutely "ludicrous". We didn't need to call that kind of play when we are already 7 up and especially driving on them at will let alone letting someone who can't throw it or doesn't have the sense enough to eat it or throw it away. Poor timing for the play IMO.

I agree, but we have to go back to the root of the problem. Why is your ****ing FB running a gadget play when Charles and (shockingly) Cassel have been effective?

Don't ask players to do more than they're capable of.

One of the worst passes ever.

Leads you to wonder what his passes looked like in practice.

Well, i certainly feel the same about my opinion regarding everyone else. No, we dont have to agree, this place would be a huge, pointless bore if that was the case.

Ok, Haley had 2 questionable calls... but if Castille had seen the triple coverage on Cassel & just ran it for 3-4 yards, it wouldnt be this giant, end of the world blight on his record that its being trumped up as.

Haleys game management today was just fine IMO (you're welcome to yours i dont care)... i come to that conclusion because we ****ing won! and anytime you win or lose, the head coach has a LOT to do with it.

Are you honestly saying his coaching skills had nothing to with it? that we coulda just had that guy in the stands in the DT jersey get the team ready this week, call the plays & steer the ship today?

But thats fine, the negatives here arent going to ruin my day or my Chiefs experience anyway.

We had been getting our asses handed to us in the run, hell look what Denver did to us at Arrowhead, so you come out and pass the ball like crazy? Pretty ****ing dumb on Denver's part. But this was Haley's best coaching job of the year, it helps when Charles, DJ, Albert, Flowers and Dorsey kicked major ass today.

It looked to me like the Chiefs were not going to let Moreno/Buckhalter beat them. They crowded the LOS and forced Orton to win the game. And Pender-aghast was successful today. (22-84/3.8)

Denver gave the Chiefs a gift horse by not playing Marshal/Royal/Scheffler and any team would have done what the Chiefs did. Make Orton win it. He couldn't. He actually made DJ look competent.

Hard to bitch that Charles was underutilized when he set a franchise record for rushing yards in a game.

The pass by Castille was stupid, the play call was obviously called because they had run it with success in practice. That fault on that play is not on the coach. It's on the player.

Gift horse? Uhhh...Gafney seemed to do a pretty nice pro-bowler immitation on our defense from what I watched. Par for the course w/ chiefs D this year. The Marshall/Royal absense made little difference IMO. Our offense putting up 30 points on the Broncos D in their stadium is reason enough to consider this a solid V.

WilliamTheIrish 01-03-2010 08:49 PM

Giving up 13 catches to Gaffe-ny doesn't bother me. After the first defensive series it looked to me Pender was not going to be beaten by the run. Carr had lots of trouble for sure, but the game plan was "Make Ortard beat you".

He couldn't. And not using three of their best playmakers was most certainly a gift horse.

becxause they are people before they are players, because who they are is more important than what they are...

because many great teams have said they were like a family.

ESPN has tried to make this game about the individual, rather than team...ever hear married couple seeing themselves a team?

I don't think it's a coincidence that the biggest bashers don't have any children.

We're not a part of the team. We're fans.

My connection to the Chiefs--whatever the hell this means--will never remotely be on the same level as what I have with my family.

Frankly, I could care less what kind of people the players and FO folks are. I want results. It's a business, and I like high-quality products.

It's NOT personal in any respect.

It is for someone who considers himself a part of the franchise, and every criticism of it, a slight against him.

Frankly, I could care less what kind of people the players and FO folks are. I want results. It's a business, and I like high-quality products.

you don't care? BS..you about pissed your pants over what kind of person Haley should be after flipping a bird.
...it's a game..you call it a business, so you can claim it isn't personal, while you invest your personal time on a daily basis.

I used to feel that connection. When I was a kid and guys like Jim Tyrer and Mo Moorman would come to the Chiefs Huddle Club.

And I probably still have that connection for the old time players. In todays NFL, it's just cheering for laundry.

That is an excellent point stevie. If people are just result oriented who cares if they flip off George?

But alot of people including Deez were pissed when he did it as they should be.

So it is personal to some degree.

You can have a personal investment in wanting them to succeed because you care about the team. You needn't have a sycophantic parroting of the regime nor treat every criticism of it as a vicarious insult of your person.

Usually the ones throwing tantrums aren't able to express themselves coherently. Unlike, say, you.
