All that opium we burn in Afghanistan has no use huh?
Think of all that opium we burnt in Afghanistan. Could have been used for the Haitian disaster. Heard they have no drugs for people with broken bones there. These events happen all over the world. We think we can supply drugs but we can't when things like this happen. Shameful waste. :headshake edit. Glad Uk Blair's and Nato have some foresight. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.p...xt=va&aid=5684

I think your post is a excellent example of why good drug policy is important.

Michael Irvin just donated some of his old crackpipes for the relief effort.

I can see we have some old conservative stodgys here who don't know that opium is morphine. The opium/morphine would surely have made drug addicts of the Haitians. Morphine is the standard for pain relief in hospitals. Better than the fake lab created drugs. Good to see the drug war is being carried on.

You know, I was watching the documentary Cocaine Cowboys last night about all the coke coming in Miami during the 70's and 80's, and I was wondering, What did the Feds do with all that blow they confiscated? Billions of kilos.
You don't think they turned around and sold it back on the streets do you?:hmmm: |

If it wasn't illegal I'd give it a go.
Wouldn't try crack, crank, ice or heroin though. |
The problem isn't a shortage of medicine, it's getting medicine into the country. There's tons of medical supplies that have been diverted to the Dominican Republic because the planes weren't allowed to land in Haiti.

Somewhere there is a village missing an idiot. You need to go back home.
Just curious goobergoober, did you bother to read the article you provided the link for? |

3 things here...
1. Googlegoogle, please change your username. It makes me have a seizure every time I see it. 2. While I understand your point, by the time the opium plant matured to the point it could be harvested and refined, then combined with the other ingredients to produce morphine, all of the injuries would have been taken care of and treatment would no longer be necessary. 3. The reasons those fields are destroyed is to stop the flow of drug money that assist certain groups (taliban included) to produce more drugs and recruites to their organizations.
