Prayers and well wishes needed.

Hey everyone, without going into any great detail, respecting family privacy, I just wanted to ask for prayers and well wishes for my mother-in-law who is currently in the local hospital and is not doing very well. She has made some small strides, but we are far from out of the woods so to speak.

Thank you my friends, and God bless!

-greg63

Jenson71 03-14-2010 12:27 AM

Sure thing, greg!

Pushead2 03-14-2010 12:30 AM

Coming your way.

greg63 03-14-2010 12:48 AM

Thanks guys; will do Big K!

mikeyis4dcats. 03-14-2010 06:56 PM

forwarding all of the prayers my family received last week to you big fella

Gracie Dean 03-14-2010 08:42 PM

Done!

I do believe our prayers for each other are a blessing. I so appreciate all that come my way.

Returning the favor is the least I can do.

greg63 03-14-2010 09:53 PM

Than you all!

The Dr. mentioned that she was pleasantly surprised at my mother-in-law's progress today when she checked up on her. When the Dr. had spoken to us Saturday evening she was afraid that my mother-in-law would not be with us this morning. She has been fighting and while we're still not out of the woods the prognosis has gotten much more positive.

Thank you to all my "Planet" family!

I thank God for the progress shown and appreciate all of you who care enough to pray and bid us well.

God bless!

-greg63

Mr. Flopnuts 03-15-2010 01:20 PM

You got it Greg. I'm glad to hear progress is being made and will pray for it to continue.

This is happening way too much around here lately.

Coming right over.

plbrdude 03-17-2010 09:04 PM

she and your family will be in my prayers

greg63 03-18-2010 01:25 AM

Had an outstanding last 24 hours. All her vitals are normal, and her organs are functioning properly. They have scheduled a move from the ICU to the Skilled Nursing Facility this morning between 9 and 10am. She will spend about one month of recovery time there and will hopefully get to come home. Your continued prayers and well wishes are still much appreciated.

Thanks again everyone!

Bwana 03-18-2010 06:52 AM

Done, best of luck to her.

Thank you all very much. Since my last update things have not progressed as hoped. Things aren't too much worse, but they aren't getting much better either. The Dr. has no long term prognosis so we're just sort of taking it day to day, to see how things go. Hopefully it's just that we need to be a bit more patient.

patteeu 03-20-2010 10:24 PM

Stay positive. Good luck.

CosmicPal 03-20-2010 10:28 PM

It'd be nice what I'm praying for, but if your MIL, you, and your family need some heartfelt prayers then consider it done. My heartfelt prayers for you...

Thanks buddy. However, things have not gone according to plan. Yesterday, however, she was the most active I've seen her in the last 48 hours previously. They are going to, instead, transfer her to Bartlesville OK. for further treatment. We're hoping for the best.

Thanks guys!

They have transferred her to Bartlesville OK to get treatment from a respiratory specialist there. The trip really took a toll on her; the wife reported that she was not looking particularly well, but we are hopeful that while there they can get her back on track.

Received word from her sister that she made it through the night and appears to be doing a little better. We'll take whatever improvement we can get when we can get it; baby steps. :)

jb4chiefs 03-24-2010 06:16 PM

I included your mother-in-law & your family in my prayers today. Good luck, & God bless.

greg63 04-09-2010 10:51 PM

Well, mom-in-law has not responded very well to treatment and the prognosis is not very positive. They will take her off oxygen tomorrow and see how it goes from there. All your prayers and well wishes have been truly appreciated.

greg63 04-11-2010 02:04 AM

Well, right now we're on a bit of a roller coaster ride. They took the her off the c-pap yesterday morning and she's still with us; obviously God's not through with her here on earth; so, we're thankful to Him for yet another day. They do have her on the O2 through her nose and her oxygen levels have remained around 97%. We have run the entire spectrum of emotions here; almost makes us want to NOT listen to the Doctors - they've had her dead and gone twice now and she keeps proving them wrong.

cdcox 04-11-2010 08:01 AM

Prayers for your mother-in-law and family. God bless.

patteeu 04-11-2010 10:43 AM

Thank you all so very much! Mom-in-law is refusing medication, but is still with us. We are thankful for each day we have with her. :)

greg63 04-14-2010 04:49 AM

At just before 3:30am this morning "Momma", as she is known as by my wife and her sisters, peacefully in her sleep transitioned from this world into the next. Her last words here was: "I'm going to heaven; hallelujah!"

Thank you, all, for your very thoughtful prayers and well wishes; they have helped immeasurably. The family will need them more then ever now.

big nasty kcnut 04-14-2010 05:20 AM

Sorry about your loss greg at least she said something before she died. My mom didn't have that chance. May god be with her in heaven. So how she died.

Thank you, her last words were of great comfort just knowing that her suffering would shortly come to an end.

patteeu 04-14-2010 05:36 AM

I hope it's consoling that she seemed ready for the end and that the suffering was less than it could have been.
