Steal of the Draft

Who was/is the steal of the 2010 NFL Draft?

My vote goes to Dez Bryant. He is going to be filthy in Dallas.

CaliforniaChief 04-23-2010 08:52 AM

Pretty hard to say with 6 rounds still to go. I think the Colts getting Hughes is pretty big, and I love Brandon Graham but it's hard to say that was a steal because of what they gave up.

Sofa King 04-23-2010 08:53 AM

Tim Tebow

Hughs was a good one, too.

Sofa King 04-23-2010 08:54 AM

but seriously, yes, Dez Bryant by far..

the Talking Can 04-23-2010 08:54 AM

The Franchise 04-23-2010 08:54 AM

Kyle Wilson

Mr. Flopnuts 04-23-2010 08:54 AM

I think Dallas got value. But I've been firmly off the Bryant bandwagon for some time now. I wouldn't have drafted him in the 3rd round. Seriously. He was completely off my board.

Hog's Gone Fishin 04-23-2010 08:56 AM

The Jets are going to have the most awesome secondary in the history of the NFL.

Drafting a shut down corner when they already had Revis and Cromartie. They are going to be ****ing impossible to pass against.

OnTheWarpath15 04-23-2010 08:57 AM

Hughes and Kyle Wilson.

Jahvid Best, while not really a steal, was a great pick for Detroit.

Rex Ryans attitude and their talent should make for one hell of a defense!

Jerry Hughes is the steal. Great pick.

Chiefs=Champions 04-23-2010 09:10 AM

On paper, perhaps. Time will tell if he can keep his nose clean, or if he turns into another LJ.

Chiefnj2 04-23-2010 09:13 AM

Dez, Hughes and Wilson. Each are really good players who will fit in on good teams that can use them right away.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-23-2010 09:14 AM

The Steal hasn't yet happened.

Someone is going to get a QB with three years of starting experience in a pro set with good arm strength, mechanics, footwork, toughness, and decent mobility.

No one would have batted an eye if the Browns would have taken Clausen at 7.

Someone getting him at 33 is Bernie Madoff-style theft.

KurtCobain 04-23-2010 09:15 AM

Clausen to KC.

Hughes.

I was fairly ambivalent on Bryant's attitude until I saw him get drafted. He gets up, starts struttin' and bowing up on folks, then the dramatic little bitch hits his knees and starts weeping.

That dude is going to be a pain in the ass headcase his entire career. With the god-complex he develops in Dallas, I think he's out of the league in 5 seasons.

Jerry Hughes and Kyle Wilson were easily the best picks of the first round.

Oh yes Hamas. Let's not Jinx it, though.

Please God, let him make it to 36.

LMAO, nice.

Though you may be right if by "steal" you mean how the Jags front office stole the hopes and dreams of the 17 people that still buy season tickets to Jaguars games.

Bwana 04-23-2010 09:27 AM

So what time does the draft start today?

thats true. but Dallas is the type of place that he's going to have every opportunity to be great, regardless of off the field issues..

really? i'm going to have to bust ass home to watch KC trade with St. Louis.

dallaschiefsfan 04-23-2010 09:47 AM

To me, Dallas was the worst place for Bryant. The Cowboys have shown little history (Parcells and Johnson's reigns excluded) of being able to be a positive influence in potentially troubled players lives. He's talented and would have thrived under a disciplinarian coach...but will flame out in Dallas. It's the Jerry way...and Wade is weak. If they get a different kind of coach next year, I reserve the right to change my mind.

Ralphy Boy 04-23-2010 10:43 AM

Dan Williams to Arizona. They've been looking for a NT for years and drafted Gabe Watson & Alan Branch a couple of years ago in the 3rd & 4th (IIRC).

Putting Williams next to Darnell Dockett will be huge for them.

keg in kc 04-23-2010 10:46 AM

I'd say Hughes.

Although I think the best QB in the draft is still on the board.

Welcome to Arrowhead - home of a player not named Igor Olshanski.

You're starting to feel our pain.

wazimo 04-23-2010 12:02 PM

Bulaga to the Packers was a great fit and value at # 23, although Dez is perfect for Dallas @ 24.

4th and 2nd, respectively. Branch for sure, and most likely Watson as well, had a reputation for being lazy. Guess they haven't panned out at NT.

LOL it looks Bulaga was born and bred around Green Bay.

If he pans out, the guy will be a legend up there.
