With our pair of 5th round picks...who SHOULD we select. IMO we need a LB and NT. Top 3 rated LBs available include: Norwood, Eric LB 6'1" 245 South Carolina 7.3 Muckelroy, Roddrick LB 6'2" 246 Texas 5.8 Sharpton, Darryl LB 5'11" 236 Miami 5.5 Top 3 rated DTs include: *Disclaimer* I have no clue how these guys pan out as NT.. Woods, Al DT 6'4" 309 LSU 7.3 Thomas, Cam DT 6'4" 330 North Carolina 7.2 Jones, Art DT 6'3" 301 Syracuse 6.7 |
Well we only have two now....so after picking Ted Washington and DeMarcus Ware, hopefully we can get Ray Lewis with our 6th.

I would have taken Cam Thomas in the 4th, but we idiotically traded it away for Brokie Moeaki.

The Chiefs have their NT in dorsey, (in their minds at least) perhaps lb. They could use a couple of lber's.

Alright. I would love Norwood. Selvie. Rolle. And Gilyard as a legit #2 sometime in the future. If we can have 2 of these guys I will be happy.

I hope there's somebody worth a damn left on the board at our 1st 5th round pick to address either the LB or NT position. As long as we address one of these there's always the possibility of addressing the other through FA. I heard that the Chiefs were toying with the idea of Dorsey as a NT but isn't he a bit smallish for this role in a 3-4? Whatever the case, our run defense needs help. We've made some good upgrades to our secondary but we will not see the full benefit of these upgrades as long as teams are consistently able to rip off running yardage against us.

Problem I see is that Cam Thomas and Al Woods are the best nose tackles out there based on grades. There might be better potential with some of the "project" nose tackles out there, but to be honest I think we'll take the BPA down the line, regardless of position.
