Over/Under run support for Grienke today

Last week, the Royals erupted for 12 runs the day before Grienke pitched, and plated 1 for him on Friday. Since that game, the Royals have crossed home only 8 times in 4 games including nada last night. Royals are due to break out by law of averages. Therefore, I'm setting the Over/Under line at 3.5 today.

KurtCobain 05-13-2010 09:33 AM

Under. He won't win a game this year. :(

Ebolapox 05-13-2010 09:34 AM

great hyperbole, kurt. did that shotgun take out your brain?

Coogs 05-13-2010 09:36 AM

I'm going Over today. Not sure about the win thing though. :(

KCUnited 05-13-2010 09:37 AM

Bout the same as last night. It's not a Grienke thing, its an offensive ineptitude thing.

CoMoChief 05-13-2010 09:38 AM

Under.

Seriously If I was Greinke I would be requesting a trade after every start.

Yes, it did.

There is not 'law of averages' with this team. Except for averaging 100 losses every year

Law of Averages is all I could come up with.

And using those same Laws... Grienke will probably give up 5 if his team gets him 4.

Chiefs Rool 05-13-2010 09:41 AM

has he ever gotten over 3 runs? lol

blaise 05-13-2010 09:42 AM

Under. The line should be 2.

It's starting to look like I should have went 2.5 anyway.

This team is unbearable to watch and embarrassing to the city. Moore/Hillman/Coaches have basically done everything possible to ruin this franchise for the long haul. I hate to state the obvious to what are probably Royals fans, but they have no interest in winning. They make a bank load of money just for keeping the team afloat, and that seems to be their lasting intention.

This team has not been 'afloat' since 2003.

Sure-Oz 05-13-2010 09:54 AM

Zack won't be back after 2012, i bet we trade him...i just dont see the team improving by the time its time for him to re-sign. I predict that he loses again today, hope im wrong. If he loses i hope he gets poed

Bowser 05-13-2010 10:21 AM

None. They won't score a solitary run. The team presses like hell to get him some run support, and it shows.

Zach - 7.1 IP, 10 SO, 6 H, 1 ER

We will lose today 2-1.

you know what I never got about baseball? the inning 'fractions.' if a guy goes seven strong and an out into the eighth, it's put down as 7.1. but 1/3=0.333333333 (repeating). shouldn't it be put down as 7.33 innings? and if it's two outs into the eighth, 7.67 innings.

I guess what I meant specifically was to simply keep the team in the league and in the hands of the current ownership, so they could keep raking in on the profit sharing. They don't care if the avg. attendance is 5K, they'll get theirs.

Coogs 05-13-2010 11:07 AM

The house is either going to make a lot of money today or go broke. :D

They play baseball at Kauffman Stadium? I thought it was a kiddie theme park and fried chicken stand?

dirtbag 05-13-2010 01:00 PM

This team is awful. The offensive may give him one run.

Come hang out at the party porch and not watch a game.

Coogs 05-13-2010 01:43 PM

OVER!

Now can they win it for him?

soundmind 05-13-2010 01:48 PM

If Callaspo is going to be our power threat - this should be one of our 25 total wins this season.

they used to list it as 7 1/3 or 7 2/3, but everyone now understands that 7.2 = 7 2/3.

I realize that. I'm just pointing out the mathematical fallacy of that denotation.

Coogs 05-13-2010 02:01 PM

OK, who's the 2 wise guys who jumped in after the fact? :)

I'm on your side here. I think that's dumb. It should be they should list 6 and 1/3 innings as 6.33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 33333333333.
