Mac and Cheese Pizza,wtf?

I like to think I've seen a lot of things in my days but tonight was very interesting in that I'd never seen Macaroni and Cheese pizza let alone even hear of it.

Just doing my part to support those who support me I opted for Cici's Pizza tonight and was quite surprised when I saw this strange concoction on their buffet. So I think what the hell and try it and I have to tell you it was dayuum good,I mean good to the point I was thinking it really sucks they're not open late when those after the bar closes munchies set in.

Huffman83 08-03-2010 06:51 PM

Apparently the Caseys mac n' Cheeze Pizza is an experience as well.

KCUnited 08-03-2010 06:51 PM

It's for kids, but wasted knows no age.

Well I never had kids and don't frequent Cici's Pizza very often but if they were open late...

Iowanian 08-03-2010 06:53 PM

They've been pushing that at the local caseys but i haven't tried it, I'm not a stoner.

SnakeXJones 08-03-2010 06:54 PM

We used to have a place called Valentino's that made a breakfast pizza, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon bits and cream gravy on pizza crust.Oh,do I miss that place.

Taco John 08-03-2010 06:58 PM

Mac and cheese with cut up hot dogs and a glass of powdered milk was sometimes "dinner" as a kid. I can't even look at the stuff anymore without wanting to hurl. I sure as hell don't want it on my pizza.

Sounds interesting though. I love it when folks get creative to ring that cash register.

It's Cici's Pizza. They make a ton of different types of pizza on the cheap. Best part of the buffet, if you don't like 1st bite, throw it away and get something else.

:spock: We're they open for breakfast, or was it served all day long? I don't recall ever seeing that at Val's.

I think they still have it in your area but it's only available during Sunday brunch.

The thing I miss most about Virginia is CiCi's pizza.

DaKCMan AP 08-03-2010 07:29 PM

When I visit Long Island for work there's an Awesome pizza place (almost all pizza in NY rocks, Cici's does not) that has all types of pies including chicken parm pizza, chicken marsala pizza, chicken francese pizza, baked ziti pizza, lasagna pizza, among others.

I know when I visited the East Coast I had some of the best pizza in my life and most was at little hole in the wall like places, family owned etc.

BTW,I see we have 5 brothers pizzeria and 5 brothers burgers and fries, wonder what's next?

blaise 08-04-2010 07:42 AM

I saw mac and cheese pizza at a place last weekend. It looked gross. The mac and cheese looked like the kind you see in a can, like from Chef Boy R Dee. I don't get it.

When I lived in Rochester, NY and Buffalo those little shops were everywhere. They sell pizza, wings, subs, fried mushrooms, etc. They would be just as common as Mexican restautants are in states like Texas.

Yeah,I remember my cousin asking me if I wanted a Grinder,I was like wtf is that.It was basically a big sub sandwich but twice as good as anything I've found here.

DMAC 08-04-2010 08:41 AM

That Macncheese pizza at cicis is the only good pizza at cicis.

The squirts are just as fierce though...

Yeah, they're all over NY and, hence, all over South Florida (since so many NYers move there). When I moved to Tampa it took me forever to find a decent family run Italian & pizzeria place.

Best pizza place in STL, hands down, owned by the son of Cardinals owner Bill DeWitt:

http://www.deweyspizza.com/stores

Original pizzas, good salads and a small but solid micro-brew selection. Place is packed every night of the week.

A little pricey, but the fresh ingredients and consistency are well worth it. Plus you can choose between a red and white sauce on your pie.

Been there a couple of times. It's not a place I would go often, more like once a year. You do get what you pay for. All you can eat for $5 to fill your belly. And 3-5 sh1ts over the next 24 hours to get it all out.

Guys please realize I own a direct mail advertising company and every so often it's good to be seen by an owner who is investing his money with you.

Deberg_1990 08-04-2010 10:31 AM

CiCi's will make any type of Pizza you ask of them.

|Zach| 08-04-2010 10:34 AM

There isn't one close to me but I know when I am going around greater KC and have just a lil cash in my pocket I will hit one up once a month or so. It is what it is...cheap pizza...a lil salad. Nice and filling.

As for all of your intestinal issues...don't know what to tell you because I don't have that problem.

Fish 08-04-2010 10:53 AM

I worked at a Pyramid Pizza way back in college. We had a pie called the Ball Park that was pretty popular. Instead of normal pizza sauce, we used spicy brown mustard. Then came a layer of sauerkraut, then we put on slices of polish sausage, and topped it off with mozzarella, provolone, and cheddar cheeses.

I'm not a fan of kraut at all, and don't eat it outside of this pizza. But damn that was a good pie...

Otter 08-04-2010 11:12 AM

Just my opinion but a good pizza with the crust 'painted' in olive oil, seasoned in garlic, oregano, salt, pepper and garlic then browned to perfection with a good sauce and cheese needs no topping.

That's Amore'.

BIG_DADDY 08-04-2010 11:17 AM

Never really got the whole mac and cheese thing unless it's a really high end product.

Pablo 08-04-2010 11:39 AM

LOL.

Pizza snobs.

I only enjoy a pie with tenderized veal, parmesan imported directly from Sicily and tomato sauce crushed by hours of hard, immigrant labor. The crust must be a fine mixture of whole wheat and local raw honey.

Cici's is what it is. Cheap and filling. Not amazing pizza, but not the dog-food some make it out to be. I know some of the more distinguished CP palettes wouldn't be caught dead with a domestic draft and a slice of cheap pizza in their hand, but I guess I'm just a simple type of fella.

KCUnited 08-04-2010 11:41 AM

I like my macaroni and cheese dredged and fried like every other normal person at Chubby's.

Gravedigger 08-04-2010 11:56 AM

Snag noodles and company's mac and cheese with a Parmesan crusted chicken on top. Bueno!

When trying out a NY style pizza joint I always order a cheese pizza first. That lets you know if it's good stuff or not. If it passes the test then you can play around with toppings.

Chief Henry 08-04-2010 02:37 PM

I've heard the "Caseys" has mac and cheese, but have not yet tried it. I do love Caseys Pizza too.

Luke 08-04-2010 02:41 PM

CiCi's

The only CiCi's I have ever eaten at is in Columbia. No problem with drizzly crap. Tried the mac and cheese, it was OK I guess. You might even say it was carbailisious.;)
