Have my FF draft in 1 hour...

My keepers (each team can keep 3) are Jones-Drew, Chris Johnson, and Andre Johnson. Odd league.

5 QB's were kept out of the top 13 (Rodgers, Brees, Manning, Romo, Matt Ryan) are all gone leaving only Schaub, Rivers, and a lately un-fantasy Brady as solid QB's without big question marks.

I was the only player to keep ANY HB in the top 10 and Reggie Wayne is the only WR off the board.

This league has a flex position so should I go HB/QB in the first (I draft last in 10 team league, serpentine) and lock up an unbeatable 3 HB's or go QB/WR with an already powerful HB duo?

Brady is a good pick this year, the Patriots defense in complete free fall will make them have to score a ton of points.

Rausch 09-05-2010 05:16 PM

But is Welker back and...well, still Welker? I really haven't followed the Pats at all this offseason.

I get 2 picks back-to-back, just dwelling on the HB/WR, HB/QB, QB/WR question...

You have CJ, MJD, AND AJ? FU, you don't need any help.

I draft two rookie HB's every year (probably just one this year.)

Years back I nabbed Deuce and Tomlinson their rookie seasons in a keeper league...

Even if Welker's not Edelman looks fine in the role, it's the fear of Moss that makes it go.

If you're picking very high I'd target the shit out of Ryan Matthews, big year for him.

That's who I'm looking at. With almost all the 1st round HB's still on the board (Peterson, Ray Rice, Turner, Jackson, and Gore) I don't expect a lot of guys to go early with rookies.

Mecca 09-05-2010 05:34 PM

If you care about keepers Ray Rice is the best one to have, big year, Frank Gore I think has a huge year, maybe the best RB year.

I love Rice this year. I think he'll have a monster season with a more experienced QB and Boldin to help out...you can't just throw 8 in the box and treat them like the Ravens anymore.

I think Mendenhall will have a damned good year as well...

KevB 09-05-2010 05:38 PM

If Moss is still there, I'd probably go there with either Schaub or Brady and basically guarantee a win this season.

Mecca 09-05-2010 05:42 PM

I don't like Mendenhall this year, OL is awful, lots of flux at QB change at WR.

That's what I'd do too.

I'm hoping Schaub falls so I can have the QB/WR combo. Really though if a top 5 WR falls I'd be happy with a guy like Flacco at QB...

MJD has a nagging injury, keep an eye out on him.

Their line is a lot like ours: piss poor pass blocking but respectable in the running game and Rothlisrapist is only out 4 games. His fantasy year will suck but you'll still have to play them honest on D...

We had to have our keepers in before preseason started (groan.)

MJD is too talented to not protect...

Rausch 09-05-2010 05:55 PM

See a note on Jahvid Best. Anything happen there last week?...

Mecca 09-05-2010 05:55 PM

Probably just that he's starting.

Rausch 09-05-2010 06:03 PM

$#it...someone didn't change the settings and it's NOT serpentine.

last pick each round...****....

30 yard hail mary 09-05-2010 06:25 PM

with 3 of the top 7 to 8 picks in FF this year you don't need any help, but Brady is in for a monster year, Moss looks like he found an extra step in pre-season and Welker is looking like welker he looks like he was never injured.

Don't pass on Brady if you get the chance to take him. they will need to put up a ton of points the way the defense has looked..

Sofa King 09-05-2010 06:58 PM

why they hell did the owners of AP, Rice, etc not keep them???

I didn't realize it but ESPN FF allows THOSE THAT DID NOT KEEP PLAYERS to draft first. WEAK. VERY ****ING WEAK!:cuss:

I didn't draft until the 4th ****ing round. That said, I'd be pissed off to finish any less than 2nd place this year. I'm deep everywhere outside of HB...

:)

Heh, I got flamed by others as a homer for taking McCluster with my second to last pick.

Hell, I may start him at flex. Right now I've got MJD, Turner, and Beanie Wells. I'll have to look at the matchups to decide....
