Reaper16 09-13-2010 11:26 PM

The 2010 draft class was responsible for almost all of the good in this game and almost all of the bad. A nice showing overall.

The real question - the question that has been all along - is whether these guys will be viable starters in two years.

Cassel blows, but at this point, I much rather have him than sanchez. Cassel should be easier to dump in time for the 2011/2012 Qbs

The SOME drafturbators hated the picks because they weren't addressing NT and QB. And sure enough the AWFUL gaping holes in this game were at NT and (big time here) QB.

10/22 68 yards for Cassel.

God. Awful.

Uhm because all week long I was chastised by these morons for saying the Chiefs were going to win or keep it close...

I cited my reasoning and how Vegas agreed with me...

Yet I'm an idiot...I'm a loser...I don't know anything...I'm the dumbest person ever.

It's annoying...

and this is my vindication...

and those assholes can blow me...

ThaVirus 09-13-2010 11:31 PM

I didn't really like what I saw from Berry tonight. Yeah, he was some decent plays all over the field but I saw him miss two tackles and HE (and he alone) was responsible for BOTH TDs given up tonight.

Don't jump all on my dick now because I think Berry is going to be a great player, but he definitely needs to get his head right before he'll be considered great. Good thing it will all come with experience...

yeah...

at this point...

our offense WOULD be better with Thigpen and the spread option...

which is sad

we have TONS of work to do...

we need, most importantly, to scrap this TJ bullshit and get Charles his TOUCHES...

That's more concerning to me right now than Cassel (who is also very concerning)...

Why are we praising McCluster so much? His TD return was a product of terrible coverage. All he had to do was run forward. Arenas' two returns were much more impressive. McCluster was a non-factor on offense, too.

That's a negative there, sky captain. Granted it only took him one cut, but it was a cut that not every returner can make. With that said, I believe either Arenas or Charles would have made the same exact play. But I think that's saying something about our young skill players. Speed kills in this league and we saw that tonight with Dex, JC, and even Arenas' shifty moves.

It may well be true that McCluster becomes more than a KR/PR and earns his keep on offense, thus validating the pick, but don't act like you were on board for it. You weren't. You just like to claim that you were.

Hootie 09-13-2010 11:45 PM

dude...

the game today...

what was the most important factor...

field position and turnovers...and playmakers

the chiefs won because of three plays...

and all night long Arenas/McCluster put us in great position...

all night long

Berry sucked...

Moeaki looked impressive...

but yeah

this draft class...it's the foundation...plain and simple...

we're a QB away

Reaper16 09-13-2010 11:45 PM

It was a good cut. Wasn't a "sick" cut. Pretty routine for someone expected to be a good returner.

it was the vision

it was the fact him and Arenas don't go down on first contact

the Bears went to the Super Bowl behind one returner (and a defense)...

The only thing that it would prove is that you constantly run your mouth despite not knowing anything about anything that you talk about.

If you are fine saying you're disgusted with the McCluster pick, but it's ok to excuse you because you did further research, then nothing you say can be criticized because you just haven't "done enough research" yet. It's revisionist history at its finest, and disingenuous bullshit.

Hootie actually has a fair point about the QBs. It's not like we really passed on any quarterbacks in the past few years that are actually any good. If we were going to burn a draft pick on an awful QB, better a 2nd on Cassel than a first on Sanchez. And I actually wanted to draft Sanchez at the time, but after seeing everyone of his NFL games, I don't think he is going to be that good.

Dominated? No. The Chargers had more than 400 yards of total offense.

Much improved? Absolutely.

won't even start on you...because deep down I know you're a true Chiefs fan...

but you stuck your foot in your mouth REAL DEEP this week LMAO

I keep on watching replays of that return. He made a cut that wasn't special by any means. The TD was set up by good blocking and terrible coverage on the part of the Chargers. It isn't like Arenas (or Charles) wouldn't have been able to score on that return. I'm still in favor of Arenas handling the full-time return duties.

Did Hootie really make a thread so he could pull the fan card? Impressive.

But but but, Dane said he'd have 170 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving and 3 TDs!! What happened?

Hootie 09-14-2010 12:03 AM

it's exactly what I said...

teams never beat us with the run last year...

they used the pass to set up their run...

teams will beat us with the pass this year...or not beat us at all

the only reason our run numbers were so bad was because we were a bad team...that's it...

if we lost tonight I knew the only way was if Rivers tore us apart...he played a decent game...

but that weather really threw him off for 2/3 of the game...

he missed easy throws

mathews gave us momentum

we stole a victory

but that's ok

we have work to do...

but like herm says

WE CAN BUILD ON THIS!

NO DOUBT

cleveland next week...

who ISN'T optimistic?

Almost 400.

Hey, they doubled us up!

Rivers 298
Matthews 75
Tolbert 26
Rivers 5
Sproles 3

407 yards.

Dorsey, DJ and Flowers were outstanding and Smith was good at the NT spot.

I am saying that you seem to be knocking the mother****er in some pussy passive aggressive way because you didn't like the ****ing pick and are looking for some hope of vindication.

That be what I'm saying.

I think you know what happened.

;)

Hootie 09-14-2010 12:05 AM

mecca and hamas aren't real fans

plain and simple

they aren't

Arenas/McCluster and Moeaki were great today...

especially the first two

we owned this 2010 draft...plain and simple...

it's our ****ing foundation

and even Dorsey/Jackson were impressive...

our linebackers looked good

we will be an average to above average defense...

with playmakers who can steal games like what we did today

it will be via the air...

Posting a thread to say you're a better fan than someone else because you disagree about team building approaches is ****ing reeruned.

But then again Hootie is ****ing reeruned.

Like I said who is counting. NFL.com is showing 389 total yards. I am not going to argue over 18 yards. It still puts around the 28th ranked D mark

Anyway the D played much better but we still need a pass rush and honestly the D got quite a bit worse when TJ went out. Shocking I know...

This is the link where I got my stats.

Out of curiosity, where are you seeing less? Not trying to be a dick, I'd just like another source in the future if CBS is incorrect.
