If we can have another draft or two like this one, we might be in for some truly special years.

Two or three drafts like this AND if we get a new CBA and actually have the ability to get some good free agents, then those two could make us outstanding.

We have had great drafts in 2 of the last 3 years. If we can get some production out of last year's, we just might be in business.

Mr.Fax I have thought all along this could be one of the best KC draft classes ever. McCluster somewhat confirmed that belief for me today.

By the end of the season, we may be describing this as the best rookie class in 20 years.

Actually, let me rephrase my reply.

If the Chiefs get an above average QB... nothing short of a miracle will make that happen for Cassel, but if they bring in a real good veteran QB in 2011 and draft a QB in the first round to groom, that in itself, in my opinion, could make us very competitive.

Arenas - good in coverage, damn good returner
DexFactor - 2 touchdowns.
Lewis - 2 starts and 2 good games so far


When Asamoah and Berry start playing like they should, this may end up as our best draft class since the first draft ever...look that up.

I'm happy, not a bad thing to say at all today :)

Plus, they're a fired-up bunch on the sidelines ... I sense leadership there ...

Yeah, I considered that as well but we have a little more perspective on the 1996 draft.

Although I absolutely LOVED the 2008 draft and still do.

I agree, I'm just talking about that he hasn't put up the ints or other statistical stuff like some of us thought he would.

He hasn't had that top five pick safety WOW moment quite yet, but teams sure haven't been attacking deep on us with any success either.

Berry has been good in run defense and has looked like a rookie at times in pass coverage. He is still a big improvement over what we had last season.

He's improved each week.

By the end of the season, he'll be amongst the best safeties in the league.

What an unbelievably great draft class. Moeaki's catch was one of the best one-handed grabs I've ever seen.
I certainly didn't realize how great a draft Pioli pulled off. My hats off to him.

I agree. It is altogether possible that the Chiefs have put together 2 of the 3 best drafts in team history in the last 3 years. Hopefully last year's was an anomaly. Plus, I'm not ready to completely write it off just yet.

Yup and playing well for the most part though he whiffed on a tackle today that led to big yards but he is playing solid.

He was the guy that was offsides on the onside kick, though. That's one huge F-up in each of his first three games.

Every mistakes he makes, meets with positive results. We're just gonna have to grow/deal with the growing rookie mistakes, but the potential is there.

I mean, Lewis totally wiffed the receiver when Carr went on the CB blitz. Poor angle/tackle. But then, Lewis have played solid coverage for the most part.

I agree. It's just funny to me that Berry isn't getting hammered because he was a popular pick. If Arenas had made those mistakes, the usual suspects would be all over Pioli. Berry gets a pass, though.

I was shamefully wrong. Outside of Berry & Sheffield, we didn't pick a guy that I wanted. Given the heaping of crow I have to eat, I will keep my mouth shut for as long as Pioli is drafting.
