Aqib Talib

Sucks.. he has already gotten beat twice for big long touchdowns.

cdirty 10-17-2010 11:59 AM

hes prolly high.

Al Bundy 10-17-2010 12:02 PM

Ohhh and if anyone thinks Eric Berry was a questionable pick, Gerald McCoy is getting owned every play and is already on his way to being a big time bust.

Fritz88 10-17-2010 12:15 PM

He once literally handed the balls to a WR in the third or a 2ed week for a TD.

Al Bundy 10-17-2010 09:11 PM

The Buccaneers got whipped today, largely due to Gerald McCoy being a softie. Any OU fans remember watching him be any good?

KC kid 10-17-2010 09:18 PM

do not panic. DTs rarely make an impact til year 2 or 3

McCoy is getting worse and looks less and less like an NFL DT every snap.

He's a defensive line rookie. JFC dude. NFL fans have the biggest knee jerk reactions of any fan of any sport.

KCrockaholic 10-17-2010 09:51 PM

BTW, Talib....KU. That explains it

:p

I understand, Warren Sapp struggled as a rookie, but from what I can remember he never looked as bad as McCoy has. I don't like anything about his game, speed rushing DT's usually get exposed for being soft and McCoy is definitely that.

The learning curve of an NFL Defensive tackle is extremely difficult. The techniques are very complex when you consider usually you're facing a veteran who knows all the tricks in the book. Give him 2 years, maybe 3. Don't freak out after 5/6 games.

ILikeBigTiddys 10-17-2010 11:08 PM

Hes still better than any LSU product. Just look at our team.

Talib has done more at his position than any other player has this season and that includes blowing out records from any other corner in the league, the man should be commended and they should erect a statue for him on campus.

Unless he's a Chiefs player then hes a bust before he gets to the podium.

Bambi 10-18-2010 10:55 AM

Brandon Flowers got owned on the most important play of the game yesterday.

It's a very difficult position.

I guess you could start a whole thread about how you hate a certain player too much which sucks for your life. He gets paid millions to play football.

You sit at home behind a computer screen and post negative things about him.

Not much of a contest imo, lol

If you're talking about call where he was called for PI. He was hardly burned. He was step for step until the push off.

Flowers attempted to oversell it. A pro corner who wants to play as big as people around here say Flowers is needs to brush that off and defend the pass.

My point was that the position is probably the most difficult on the field.

I don't need to defend Aqib Talib, the man made the pivotal play that lead to Kansas winning a BCS bowl game over Virginia Tech (a team which had Brandon Flowers on it ironically).

KU won a BCS game? I don't think I've ever seen you mention it.

Lots of good college players shit the bed with they get to the next level.

Absolutely stupid. Stop posting.

I wish he played for the Chiefs. We would have a flippin chance then.

Bambi 10-31-2010 05:32 PM

Interception return 45 yards for a touchdown. Yea, he sucks..lol

Lzen 10-31-2010 05:36 PM

Aquib Talib just intercepted it and that will probably seal the game. Yeah, he sucks. ROFL

siberian khatru 10-31-2010 05:36 PM

And now he makes the (probably) game-winning INT.

Bambi 10-31-2010 05:36 PM

Aqib Talib owns.

Just denied Arizona a chance to tie with his 2nd incredible int of the day.

This might be the worst thread ever created on CP.

The thread starter has always been a KU basher. Nothing new here. A 3rd year CB with 5 ints on the season after just 7 weeks is doing pretty well.

Why would a fan of Central ****ing Florida hate KU? Any school with 'Central' in the name is automatic fail.

Bambi 10-31-2010 05:42 PM

I've never even heard of Central Florida.

No idea why he is a KU basher. But look back at the history of KU posts on this bb and when you see posts about KU by him, it's usually negative. Just sayin'.

Directional school. Their claim to fame is Dante Culpepper. Other than that they are a big wet fart.

Beats me. Can't say I ever remember playing them in football or basketball.

Al Bundy 10-31-2010 09:46 PM

He picked off Max Hall and Derek Anderson. Would figure a couple of you guys would gather round and have big circle jerk.

Asante Samuel, Brandon Marshall & Mike Sims-Walker are all UCF guys as well. Pretty solid list considering they've been a D1 program for 15 years or so.

Just wanted to say that about UCF, no real opinion on Talib (from what I've seen, he's pretty good). Carry on.

Central Florida only has 53,000 students. That's as many as KU and K-State combined.

Bambi 11-07-2010 08:16 PM

I think OP should have made this thread about Terance Newman.
