Romo out - Fractured clavicle

Romo was hit hard on a blitz by the Giants and has a left clavicle fracture. He has been pulled from the game.

As if the Cowboys needed any help sucking more. Looks like Jon Kitna is starting right now.

There is a QB in nearby Houston that is sippin' and grippin'

Buehler445 10-25-2010 10:31 PM

I wonder if the league will outlaw all hits on QBs now.

I think the Giants defense has knocked out 5 quarterbacks now. In 7 games.

Kyle DeLexus 10-25-2010 10:58 PM

Well my fantasy team could be screwed. I have Romo and Austin.

FAX 10-25-2010 10:59 PM

Poor soul. He was just too high-strung.

So ... who plays quarterback for the Cowpies, now? Essentially, this ends their season, I guess.

Kitna ... that's right. Thanks, Mr. LiL stumppy.

I guess we can stick a fork in the Cowpies, at this point.

CrazyPhuD 10-25-2010 11:39 PM

Haha I told that same thing to my dad tonight.

ClevelandBronco 10-26-2010 12:31 AM

Interesting development. It could give Wade some cover to hide behind, but I doubt it.

Before long the QB's will be wearing flags!

Pasta Little Brioni 10-26-2010 06:43 AM

...and legions of "fans" jump off the Cowboy bandwagon. Suddenly more Texan, Steeler, and Patriot fans appear around the country.

The Bad Guy 10-26-2010 06:44 AM

You know who's more upset than Cowboys fans?

Miles Austin fantasy owners.

BigCatDaddy 10-26-2010 07:26 AM

I was told every QB in the NFL takes that hit every week and shakes just it off; and Sam Bradford is just made of glass.

Dylan 10-26-2010 08:08 AM

Romo is a great competitor -- I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

NY Post is too much...

That's really awful. Post should be ashamed.

Tribal Warfare 10-26-2010 08:16 AM

I assume that two hand touch will be in affect after this.

gblowfish 10-26-2010 08:19 AM

Meh, screw the Cowboys. All that talk about how they deserved to be in a Super Bowl in their home stadium. Serves them right. The Giants have a long history of knocking out QBs. The Giants knocked Joe Montana out so hard they almost ended his career.

And yes, the NY Post is pretty much the perfect NY newspaper. Rude, mean, crass, unapologetic. Pretty much like the average NY Sports fan.

It was a clean hit. Not the Giants fault that Romo is made of glass.

correct, but they hurt a NFL "marquee" player thus makes the NFL nervous due to marketing and ticket sales. Goodell is going to paint his ass in a corner if he changes the infrastructure of the NFL even more than he has.

It was totally within the rules. If the league rules against the Giants on this they are hypocrites.
