Wow! Awesome news.
|

holy shit that is awesome....sweet deal for the most important part of your offense. props top pioli for that! |
Hell yeah!
|
Oh great! Now he won't try very hard.
|
**** yea!!
|
On to Hali now, hopefully.
|
Good to hear.
|
Wow, that's it? That's awesome!
|
Derrick Johnson? Check.
Jamaal Charles? Check. Up next, Brandon Flowers/Dwayne Bowe. Who said Pioli hated Herm's players? |

awesome.

we need to always have a slab of meat at RB (Jones or his replacement) to keep Charles fresh
but he averages 6 yards a touch, only seems to be getting better...and only got $13 mill guaranteed... woot |
smart-get it done now:thumb:
|
Great news... and we didn't break the bank to keep him.
FAH KING A |
He cakn patna

i don't think we can afford to let any of them walk given what's behind them... |
Seriously that seems like a really good contract on our part. Didn't Larry Johnson get over $20 million guaranteed?
Good job, Jamaal. You earned this payday. |
And Charles is going to f-up the Chargers D on Sunday....
|
It's good to see the organization reward the players. Pioli seems to have no problem paying the guys he feels deserve to be.
|
this is because of my gamethread this morning, i am teh mojo.

I love it when players resign during the season, as opposed to the converse...
team player. We're building team players...see Hali....I bet he plays his whole career in KC...it's fantastic and way overdue. |

only pass rush threat on defense Held on virtually every play Basically saved the game last week with huge play 3rd in NFL in sacks Stfu. Idiot |
Fantastic news!!! Didn't know if Pioli would do this w/ a RB. Good to see he realizes how amazing Charles is and that he needs to stay a Chief.
Next: Tamba Hali. Gotta get him locked up. |
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great move Scott.
|
I'm so confused. I didn't think the GM of the Chiefs was allowed to sign players to extensions in the middle of the season.
That is an incredibly good deal the Chiefs got him on. I'm a bigger fan of Pioli's by the day. |
Good news. Pioli getting the job done.

****ing moron. |

Holy shit, that's a steal.
|
Great move by Pioli, I'm not sure if he intended to sign Jamaal for this amount or if he didn't want/need a gigantic contract, but it seems like a total steal to me (especially considering what LJ got).
Random thought I had the other day: All 3 of the other AFC West teams have used a 1st round pick on their feature RBs (Moreno, McFadden, Mathews) and all of them are far worse than Charles (at least up to this point), who was a 3rd round pick. Goddamn, that '08 draft was badass. |
just think in baseball that wouldn't buy a bad baseball player
|
I just came.

Love how Haley is rewarding the guys who he pressured to play better. Hope we can get Hali and Bowe locked up to a reasonable contract and I pray these guys don't become fat and happy (ie, slow and bad) now that they're getting rewarded. |
I was hoping the kid would get a little more, but good for him anyway. I don't think Jamaal is going to slow down just because he got the contract.
|
FANTASTIC!

I'm glad he took less so we can afford to sign the other 3 young stud players we have to long-term contracts. Hali, Bowe and Flowers should be the next 3 taken care of. |

Unless you're another RB going for a contract, JC's agent, or JC himself, you're pretty happy right now. This is a great contract for the Kansas City Chiefs and their fans. |

Considering his production that is cheap as well...

This is perfect. By the time he's 29, JC will likely have slowed some from being in the league 8 years. That's the time to dump him, and not pay like we did for LJ. Just a brilliant deal by Pioli. |

I'm talking big $$$$$ Jared Allen played better with a worse D when he was with the Chiefs even when Hali still sucked. Get my point now!!!! |

Dammit Pio--
I mean Great Job Scotty |
Thats alot of money for a guy whos not a starter.
|
NICE!!!
|
This can't be true.
I heard Pioli didn't know what the **** he was doing. |

He's not only played his drafted position but transitioned TWICE and is now found his home as a pass rushing OLB. He was an undersized and underprepared 4-3 DE coming out and transitioned perfectly to the 3-4. My only regret is that we no longer have Jarred Allen to play our ILB role like Levon Kirkland. No, he had nowhere near he size but his ROLE would have been a perfect fit... |
It's the NE way. They will pay up the big bucks for ascending players.

Charles needs more money.

Pioli continues to look like the Exec of the decade that he is.

This is refreshing. It's been a long time since we have had to worry about having alot of young players needing to be re-signed.
