Which team are we?

TEAM A - The team that got physically dominated twice by the Raiders and the Chargers?

TEAM B - Or the team that beat up on the hapless NFC West, Broncos and Titans?

Marcellus 01-02-2011 03:36 PM

Wouldn't those both be the same team?

This.

Poll FAIL.

KCrockaholic 01-02-2011 03:45 PM

We are both. Right in the middle of those wins and losses. It's pretty simple really.

LoneWolf 01-02-2011 03:45 PM

The team that won the AFC West.

ta900 01-02-2011 03:47 PM

Team B makes no sense since the Broncos smoked their ass in mile high and the Chiefs eeked out a crappy win in Arrowhead.

KChiefs1 01-02-2011 03:47 PM

Same team dumbass

There is a clear disconnect in our performances based on the level of talent we are facing.

The Raiders and Chargers were the best teams we played in the second half of the season.

NO ONE owned our running game like Oakland and San Diego did this year.

Makes you wonder how this team is going to block Haloti Ngata, Kelly Gregg and Ray Lewis.

OR, maybe they just have a little better feel for us, since they play against us twice a year, not to mention we're division rivals and all of that.

It is proof positive that GoatCheese is not a Chiefs fan.

The Chiefs are better now than they have been since Vermeil left and all GoatCheese can do is sling poo at them.

More like 1 1/2 times.

It was enough to make the Chief's ass bleed twice, though.

Start Croyle 01-02-2011 04:02 PM

The chiefs had an amazingly weak schedule. The strongest teams they beat were the mighty Jacksonville Jaguars and the fearsome San Diego Chargers, both at 8-7.

NE's loss to Cleveland was clearly a fluke, as they beat every team in the AFC Playoffs this year, except the Chiefs.

The Patriots are clearly a great team.

The Chiefs are....A team...

Clay ,

Your mind is too simple...That is why week in and week out you are made to look the fool. Your choices are completely false....

No option C or D?

Nothing in between?

When your world is black and white, like yours is.....You will either be blinded or in the dark at all times...

Shit happens, it's done and it's time to move on. It's time to open up a can of whoop ass next weekend and BRING IT!

Chiefshrink 01-02-2011 04:53 PM

I can safely say that the majority of us here on this board would not have expected an AFC West Crown this year. But we won it for a variety of reasons.

But we are definitely a team still in rebuild mode with many holes to fill and it showed today. But what really was evident was that this team was not able to stand on it's own emotionally and professionally regardless of their 'binky being taken away"(ala Weis info). And this is normal for a young team that is in rebuild mode. Weis's career is more important than this team and his timing proved this. Haley needs to get his young team over this and that will be very difficult IMO.

I guarantee you the Ravens smell blood coming into Arrowhead next week after watching what the Raiders did to us in our own house.

Just being a realist here.

Would have put up 40, except the Rams kicker missed an XP and a FG. And the Rams collapsed in the 4th quarter.

They're a young team who clinched last weekend and probably couldn't stop giggling all week and reading the paper to see it in print and lost their focus for a couple of days. I'm sure Haley will fix that crap like right now in a hurry.

Today was part of Haley's plan. The Ravens will watch this film and develop a game plan from it. Haley is the awesome.

That might be a nice plan, if it were true, but I think someone in the Chiefs brain trust needs to come up with some kind of killer game plan for Sunday.

He's been doing this stuf for the better part of a month now. His very own reverse mojo thing, methinks.

That's what I've concluded as well. Hopefully it works.

B_Ambuehl 01-03-2011 12:20 AM

If you look at a common factor in the poundings they've taken (including the 1st Denver game) they were all division opponents. I've said all along the running game is primarily a lot of smoke and mirrors (misdirection, draws etc.) and the talent of Jamal Charles, but the blocking is not consistently great. When you play against a team that studies you in the offseason and knows your tendencies (division opponents) it's simply a matter of playing sound assignment football for them. The run game has looked 10 x better against non-division opponents including those with fairly solid running defenses (S.F. & Tenn). For that reason I'd be surprised if Baltimore shuts us down the way the 'fade did today.

What you are really saying is our O-line is nothing near the 03-05 Chiefs and I disagree about the Ravens not shutting down our run game. Ngata will throw Weigmann around like a rag doll. :thumb:
