NBC Sunday Night Footbal says "Everyone wants to play KC @ Home"
That's locker room material there.
|
It's from Rodney Harrison, so who gives a shit?
|
So do you ever have a thought that doesn't get posted in thread form?
|
To bad we don't play "NBC" in the Playoffs.
|
It is common sense.
The Colts won the SB just a few years ago and have a 1st ballot HOF QB. |
And prior to the game today on NFL Countdown it was "No one wants to go into KC".
One bad game is going to cause the Ravens to let their guard down. |
Yeah, well the refrain from everyone last week was that no one wants to play KC, the Chiefs are the only team that could beat the Patriots, blah blah blah.
|
and last week it was 'nobody wants to play KC @ home'

If official number 127 never shows his ugly f***ing nasty face in KC again, I'll be happy. I swear to God, he's a f***ing cheating, blind, look-the-other-way, piece of dung... I wish Andy Studebaker would have kicked his cheating ass right there on the field. 127 is a smug piece of sh1t...

Baltimore didn't play like gangbusters either. You can run the ball in the playoffs, you got a chance. |

This has to be the most insecure fanbase in the NFL. Oh noes, East Coast bias. Oh noes, the media said blah, blah, blah. Oh noes, the refs are always out to get us. |

The Chiefs are wishing they could play the Chiefs at home.

its the media you can talk new shit every week.
Few hours ago nobody wants to play at KC and now everybody ! Who cares. |
This team has been nothing more than a false sense of security this season.
Can you remember a team that won their division that had a 2-4 division record? This team greatly benefited from playing a horribly weak schedule, while the other AFCW teams shit their pants early on. The people tired of hearing that will say "Well we don't control who plays who, we just play our schedule, let's just worry about this year." That's fine. But the harsh truth is we played only 2 teams that posted a winning record this season and lost to both of them. We did beat SD once, but my bet would be if conditions weren't shitty on a loud/crazy MNF game at the "new" Arrowhead with the pregame fireworks show jacking up all the fans, SD might have won that game. But it is what it is. It doesn't help that we got SHUT OUT at their place. The real SD showed up then. Look who KC plays next season in non divisional games... GB CHI NE NYJ IND PIT Right there is probably 6 losses if all of those teams are healthy and barring any major inj to the QB etc. And that's not even counting SDx2 OAK x2 and we still have to play @DEN which we are notorious for going up there and losing. I am very well expecting a losing season next year just on the schedule and who we have to play. It's good the stars aligned. SD's shitty first qtr of the season performance was the reason they didn't win the division. KC's first qrt performance against some shitty teams was the reason they jumped out in front of the other teams in the AFCW, while everyone else lost. The other teams helped KC win the title. It is what it is....but KC isn't ready to play with the big boys, not by a long shot. |

Some of you seriously need kill yourselves by jumping off a high building, or just drown yourself in acid so the funeral expenses won't be too much for the happy people you'll leave behind. |
wait everybody in the playoffs belongs and can win games. Remember Arizona ? Nobody gave them any chance.

We got beat by a very horribly disciplined football team. OAK came into Arrowhead and pushed us around on both sides of the ball. What makes people think the Ravens arent going to do the same? They're 5x the better team than OAK. |

Based on today's game, I'd agree with that sentiment.
Based on 5 of the other 7 games at Arrowhead (Buffalo and Denver...), not so much. |

If you took this year's team with next year's schedule i can certainly guarantee you we wouldn't be close to winning 10 games. |

I am a fan of the KC Chiefs, from Clark Hunt on down to the long snapper. You need to look in the mirror and check your negativity, it cant be much fun crying about why we are the AFC West Champs. |

fortunately nobody gives a shit what NBC says

The Chiefs are the worst team in the playoffs (except for the NFC West winner obviously).
Who wouldn't want to play them?? |

heh, i dont get why so many people on here care what these dudes say? They dont know anymore than the rest of us. |

I still find it hard to believe that you actually root for the Chiefs to win... No sarcasm here either.... |

Baltimore is not 5 x better than Oakland. More consistent? Yes. But a motivated Oakland team can play with nearly any team in the league.

I will say Oakland is one of the most physical teams when they are on their game. They seem to physically beat the $hit out of their opponent every week. Whether they win or not is another story. That said...I do not see Baltimore showing us anything more physical than what we saw from Oakland both games. They just are...smarter with it. |

Week 12: L, 37-29 to NYG Week 13: L, 48-20 to PHI Week 14: W, 34-10 vs StL Week 15: L, 35-14 to MIN Week 16: L, 47-7 to NE Week 17: W, 34-21 to SEA So they went 2-4 to end the season, getting blown out 3 times by greater margins than KC did today. Poor example, CoMoChief |

Not really sure why they would say "everyone wants to play KC at home". The "everyone" was really a choice between either the Jets or the Ravens, neither of which really had a say in the matter. It would've been more apropos to say that "everyone wants to play the Jets in their own house", as both KC and Indy were fighting for that easy matchup.
The Ravens probably preferred to play the Chiefs only because of their playoff inexperience but, honestly, the Colts probably would've been an easier game for Baltimore (even with Melonhead). The Jets are ****ed either way so it didn't matter where they went. |

In another thread it was mentioned the Jets were 2-4 in their division last year. Granted a tougher division.

Plenty of folks here have met me and know my passion for this franchise. I'll be at Arrowhead on Sunday, stripping my voice with 77,000 others. Can anyone here confirm you're not an idiot? |

That's a real bummer for us. It also sucks that strong teams, like you listed, never fall back to the pack, and never ever lose to lesser opponents. Now I'm depressed. Sent from my Johnny 5 using Tapatalk |

You can spin it any way you want but you need to focus on the bottomline. They GOT the job done. And thats what matters. They won the division and the rest of the teams like Oakland, San Diego and Denver didn't. Chiefs earned it this year. Don't let this year or next years schedule discourage you man. Thinking about next years schedule is thinking waaay to ahead. Just take it one step at a time. Enjoy it! They won the division and are in the playoffs. C'mon man. Give yourself reason to be proud. why piss on that? And even if they do lose in the playoffs to the Ravens, this season is still considered a successful season. Do you really expect this team to compete with the "big boys" after year 2 of rebuilding? If they can, bonus! But, lets be realistic here. This team took major leaps and strides this year. to go from 4-12 to divisional champs is HUGE jump. do you realize that? Just for them to get into the playoffs is imo the first and most appropriate step right now. Now they may not be big boys, but at least they have plenty to gain from this season and can build on it next year. I am so happy they made the playoffs because that is critical for a young team. They're gonna need that type of experience for sure in case they do compete in the post season again in the future. You need to change your outlook man. No offense. view this thing a with a bit more positivity. I urge you please. There is PLENTY of room for improvement on this team. We have a damn good coaching staff, and a great executive to top it off. Which will speak high volumes as far as player evaluation and player development goes. Just look at this year for example. Our draft was great, and a lot of the players that many considered "busts" stepped up their game bigtime thanks in large part to coaching. Unlike years past, I think the Chiefs are in good position to be a strong team in the future simply because we have the FO, scouts, and coaching to improve this team. *Be proud and give yourself a pat on the back for being a fan of this team. Don't give yourself a reason to piss and moan and be upset. it's not worth it, especially after a good season. |
