The Academy is accepting nominations for Chiefs Planet MVP

No qualification criteria. Everyone is elgible for the Planet's MVP (Most Valuable Poster).

Much like art, its in the eye of the beholder. The Academy won't try to define what it takes to be the MVP, thats for you to decide.

For you, maybe its football knowledge, for others its that they are hilarious, lifetime achievment award etc etc. whatever floats your boat.

We will take nominations in this thread. The academy will create a final public poll. The poster that gets the most votes in that poll will be crowned Chiefs Planet MVP.

EDIT:
The final public poll/vote will include all posters who recieved more than one nomination. This nomination thread closes on Saturday at 1:00 pm central time.

I nominate grandllama for streaming the gameday video live for those less fortunate that live outside the viewing area.

FAX 01-11-2011 08:46 PM

I think Mr. grandllama is an excellent choice.

FAX

Rams Fan 01-11-2011 08:46 PM

I nominate Phobia.

Oh and the countless posters who have put their money into helping CP.

Hootie 01-11-2011 08:46 PM

ClayWhit

The videos and gif'd up makes him more than deserving...to bad he's certain to never win because of all the trolling (he is a wannabe Whitlock who will never be)...

LVP

LVPs are posters who do not talk about Chiefs as their main reason for being on CP.

I happen to fit that bill.

Shogun 01-11-2011 08:51 PM

The new server.

If it can run against me, it can win CP MVP

You can't as long as I'm here.

I'd nominate Donger and Jim "Logical" Reynolds (any one of his names would do).

I know Jim passed. Even with his passing he still has made some great posts over the years.

If they said the 2010 MVP I wouldn't have put his name in the running.

He and I did not get along, but he was a good poster and did a good job as a mod.

Only one nomination per poster.

Yeah, I think Norman meant Donger and Logical were nominations for MVP, not LVP

True, there is no calendar year attached to this honor. Therorically the same person could win it every year.

Shogun 01-11-2011 08:58 PM

Based on the post you quoted and your first sentence, it seemed to imply that you meant LVP, which is why I (and FAX, apparently) responded like I did.

MVP, and considering I can only nominate one I'll stick with Logical.
donger will eventually get a nomination. He keeps people spinning in their own swill, he's good and mostly fair minded.

You haven't seen Clan Ram, then. That's the largest forum out there for St. Louis Rams football. The mods are major ass holes, nothing really anything to talk about that's Social(they have a lounge but there's like 1 thread started there a week) and the forum is a pain in the ass to navigate through.

I know that. The only time anyone is happy that the Rams win is if it's against a team from the AFC West(besides the Chiefs).

the new server was Kurt Cobain, who has since changed his name back to Kurt Cobain.

Just being technical. It's not an actual poster, but I don't mind it being nominated, since it's one of the better things that happened to the Planet this year. If anything, I would think the nomination for the new server should go to AustinChief. JMO though.

When it comes down to it, Austin Chief is the most valuable planeteer every year, since without him, this place doesn't exist.

Now we can put an end to this stupidity.
Thread over.

patteeu 01-11-2011 09:10 PM

There are lots of good posters here. It sounds like Grand Llama provides an invaluable service that I've never used so he'd be a good choice. Lots of great comedy from the usual suspects. GoChiefs and his gifs. But I'm going to nominate milkman this year for his generally balanced football takes. He's not drafturbator and he's not true fan. He's something in between and I think that's worth honoring.

Simply stated, this is a popularity contest.

Call it what it is.

No one, other than Austin Chief, is more valuable than the next guy.

You're a good guy, and I value your input.

I just think this is stupidity.

I'm pretty sure it's proper protocol to wait until after the nominations are official to begin campaigning.

Hammock Parties 01-11-2011 09:16 PM

How about luv or Monty? Awesome tailgates all year. I'll nominate Monty.

Hootie 01-11-2011 09:17 PM

Nah, he's a troll.

Because if we would have won 30-7 he would've pulled the "aw, shucks...I was just yanking your chains!" card...

Guy goes against the grain no matter what...

but hey...the vids and the gif'd up threads make it worth it.

Hootie 01-11-2011 09:18 PM

that said...

I forgot about grandllama and he is going to get my vote...that stream is money...and it gives me a great option to watch a game if I don't want to go to a sports bar...

It's the best thing going for the planet...unbelievably generous service he provides to many of us.
