Nice job. We can bet that these guys comprise most of our draft board.

ForeverChiefs58 01-17-2011 06:59 PM

I hope so bad that Ole Miss NT- Jerrell Powe is one of our picks

ForeverChiefs58 01-17-2011 07:00 PM

Would love to see Mike Pouncey here too. His brother made the probowl his rookie season

He won't be a center imo

Doug Deakin SDSU....I don't even think he played a single snap. I think he was pretty much an honorary captain.

That's like a repost on steroids.

Probably made new posts for each new set of teams/captains he added... then realized it would be better to put them all in the OP?

Either that or FAP-time induced errors..

Dante84 01-18-2011 09:35 AM

Whew, I'm just glad the KU captains are listed.

Frosty 01-18-2011 09:42 AM

Oregon State

DT - Stephen Paea
WR - James Rodgers
C - Alex Linnenkohl
LB - Dwight Roberson
DE/OLB - Gabe Miller
CB - James Dockery

(Rodgers was hurt and got a medical redshirt, so isn't coming out)

I think based on pioli's drafts we need to look especially at the sec schools and the big ten schools. I would love to land Powe Ole miss NT and Kerrigan OLB Purdue.

Yeah but Walter Payton's bro had a very forgettable NFL career. You can't go by that.

But, having said that, the younger Pouncey does intrigue me as well. Especially now that I know he fits the Team Captain requirement.

RustShack 01-18-2011 10:10 PM

If we go after any Cyclones... it better be David Sims.. or A-Rob maybe... Lamaak wouldn't be bad either.

They are actually the same age being twins, Maurkice just left school his junior year while Mike stayed for his senior year. I think Mike is just as talented as Maurkice and he also played center, guard, tackle and even DT his freshman year. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he goes late in the 1st like his brother, we'll see as it gets closer, but he is projected like his brother was to be either a guard or center.

He's really not very good. Will probably play guard in the NFL.

He's good, but struggled at the center position - perhaps for a lack of experience.

At this point, he's a guard only. He'll dominate that position sooner rather than later due to his size and abilities, but you don't draft him at any other position other than guard at this point. (Unless you are Carl in a braintrust with Herm and decide to draft a three year starting guard and attempt to play him at LT for shits and giggles.)

So you are saying it is just as I stated. "He's not very good. He is a guard in the NFL." Get it, he's not very good at the center position, therefore, he will probably play guard in the NFL. YAY!

Torrey Smith the WR out of Maryland is a captain

6'1 running a 4.41 ...would be good opposite of Bowe to stretch the field..but seeing a WR out of Maryland I can't help but compare him to DHB

Tribal Warfare 01-03-2012 11:53 PM

bump, who are they team captain prospects this year?
