Yes. I believe so. |

Congrats to Cassel.

I hope this gives Cassel some confidence. That he can play at that level. Maybe next season he will take that next step forward.

Herm used that line to assure folks that KC didn't back into the playoffs, just like Cassel didn't back into this. Chill. Not everything is an attack on that sack of shit. Note: that was an attack, though. |

Yeah you're ****ing right dildo head. Everyone should be pissed as hell. |
Whats funny is, everyone says that they dont care about the Pro Bowl, then raise such a ruckus when a player gets snubbed, or picked.....
Well, what is it? You dont care or do you? |
Anyone live near ROR or OTWP? Maybe you should drive by their houses and make sure they aren't on fire.

Cassel goes to the PB but not the SB which makes him a failure. The reality is neither is correct. |

People are really THAT ****ing stupid???? |
No chance this thread gets 1000 replies...
None whatsoever |
Good for him.
That noted, this was pretty much my absolute worst nightmare. Weis made the guy look passable then left (and he fell apart). http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...1&postcount=27 Now we honestly have to put up with this Matt Cassel - Pro Bowler nonsense while pretty much guaranteeing that this guy is our QB for the foreseeable future. As I said in April - it's time to face the horror. Well, here's to at least winning a playoff game and hoping that we can do this the hard way. Winning one like the Bucs and Ravens is an intense pain in the ass, but it appears to be the direction we're headed. We have the excellent running game in place, here's hoping Pioli can build an all-world defense to get us over the hump. It's clear the front office simply doesn't share my philosophy on this so I suppose I just have to deal with it and hope they can win something for the first time in 4 decades. |
Also a former first alternate Pro Bowler:

I still want a new QB, though, so this news is bittersweet at best. He's going to have to royally shit the bed in order to lose his starting job by 2013. |
I mean, that's ****ing cool and all, but it IS skewed by stats.
Roethlisberger and Garrard are both better QBs. Maybe even Schaub, although he shits his pants far more often than Cassel does and has the benefit of playing on a shitdiculously talented offense |

It definitely helps Pioli in terms of public perception. Exec. of the Year. His hand-picked boy is a Pro Bowler. Hey, maybe we parlay these things into some solid personnel moves this off-season and have a good crack at improving, no matter the brutal schedule we're looking at next year? Can't hurt, that's for damn sure. Sure wish we'd hear about a strong OC hire, though... |

Its great. |

And I agree about the OC. Hopefully they're just getting submarined by other clubs on all of their potential candidates, and not entertaining the idea of Haley being coach/co-ord again. |
Quote:
i've never before seen a person whose own personal sense of self worth is determined in relation to a sports message board... and why are you guys ruining Cassel's thread by obsessing about another team's QB? |
Quote:
BTW that is not a knock on DJ it just signals this was the final nail in the coffin. Cassel is staying and we need to get used to it. |
Cassel shit his pants the last 2 games no doubt but you knew his crazy TD to INT ratio was going to cause this.
It's like the worst of 2 worlds. I just hope he realizes he has a ways to go to be a true PB QB instead of thinking he made it. |

If there is any team in the NFL that needs to win the freaking championship just so its fans can once and for all get rid of their eternal myopia, it's this one. |
Quote:
All those guys were worthy of their Pro Bowl selections. I don't see where you're getting this generalization that Chiefs fans believe their Pro Bowl players are unworthy. |
Oh hell no don't be dissing cassels prowbowl status. A probowler is a probowler.
