****CP 2011 Mock Draft Signup****

Hi all,

It's that time of year again. There are a couple of inconsequential changes this year. Namely, ChiefsCountry has taken over control of the mock from OnTheWarpath58, and I've replaced Mecca as the Goebbels to his Hitler.

In order to make this a more efficient process, this thread will be the thread in which existing members "re-up" for next year, and people who want to get into the draft put their name in. In the past we've voted on entrants. I don't know if that's how CC wants to do it this year, but if so, that's how we'll do it. I will update this post with further info on who is confirmed, and who wants a possible open spot. Additionally, owners who are confirming should list their desired teams when they confirm here. OTW has generally done a good job of giving people balanced drafts with teams they'd like.

So, without further ado, here is the list:

I PM'd CC earlier, but I would like back in this year.

I'm pretty open to whatever team. Last year, I had the Panthers and Bengals, and wouldn't mind having those two teams again.

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-29-2011 10:58 PM

I don't see a problem with giving you either the Panthers or Bengals (or whoever CC chooses), but usually it's split up to where you get one early pick and one later pick.

Chiefs=Champions 01-29-2011 11:17 PM

Im interested in taking part, but i know theres a long list.. just throwing my name in.

KCrockaholic 01-29-2011 11:52 PM

I'm interested. Been here a few years now, and haven't been able to get a chance yet.

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-30-2011 12:12 AM

We have played around with the idea of running through the first two rounds again if time permits. If we finally end up doing it, I'll give someone my teams so they at least get somewhat of a chance to participate.

Nightfyre 01-30-2011 12:19 AM

I would be interested in participating.

Yeah, I didn't think about that, and that makes sense. No big deal to me on who I get.

RealSNR 01-30-2011 12:45 AM

Last year I was in because I took over for milkman's teams- the Chargers and the Raiders.

If milkman wants back in, I'll give him his spot back. Otherwise, I will gladly re-up. I would love to have the Packers if they're available.

ChiefsCountry 01-30-2011 01:35 AM

I edited in who I have heard from as well. We will have two open spots for sure.

For teams, I would sort of like to get everybody in first. But for the record, I am taking the Chiefs & Cowboys. Cowboys have been my dyntasy team sort of, so I am continueing with them.

ChiefsCountry 01-30-2011 01:43 AM

Also I gave Mecca a one week notice to join up or not. By next Saturday if I haven't heard from him, his spot is open.

Wasn't able to watch a lot of college football in the last year, so I'm out.

doomy3 01-30-2011 10:53 AM

Are the existing owners going to vote on who takes the place of the owners who are opting out?

Is Saccopoo interested in having a team?

DeezNutz 01-30-2011 11:11 AM

I wouldn't mind ruining the draft for the Bills and Pack.

ChiefsCountry 01-30-2011 01:27 PM

That was what I was thinking.

If he wants one, it was OTW's idea to give him his spot. I would be fine with that.

BossChief 01-30-2011 02:03 PM

I'd like to keep Atlanta as one of my teams and add the browns or redskins as my other if that's possible.

Rams Fan 01-30-2011 02:13 PM

Hamas and CC already know who I want as my 1st team. For the 2nd, I'll have to think a little bit but I'd be fine with taking the Cardinals or 49ers.

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-30-2011 02:22 PM

I've had the Patriots the last two years, and I think I'll keep them . I think for my second team I'll take the Bengals, if that's ok with doomy, who can have the Panthers and the #1 overall pick.

Rams Fan 01-30-2011 02:23 PM

So what teams are currently available?

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-30-2011 02:27 PM

That's yet unknown. The odds of you getting a spot are still highly up in the air, so you should think about ceasing from the numeration of poultry.

I know that. I'll be happy if I get in. Whether it's a 1 or 2 teams, I'll still be happy.

Yeah, that's cool with me.

I'll take the Panthers and the 49ers if that works for everyone.

ChiefsCountry 01-30-2011 02:40 PM

If you are picking teams try to pick somebody in the top 16 and then bottom 16. Trying to space things out between picks.

Alright, I'll take the Panthers and Eagles then.

The Franchise 01-30-2011 02:51 PM

I'm in. I'll take the Lions and the Bucs if possible.

Dibs on the Vikings.

I asked for the Packers earlier. If Deez or someone else gets them, that's cool. But the Vikings are my preferred choice for the top-of-the-draft 16

Rams Fan 01-30-2011 02:53 PM

Okay, if I manage to get in, I'd take the Rams and Jags.

Direckshun 01-30-2011 08:25 PM

I am, of course, in. I will take whatever team whenever.

I am that confident in my ability to win the draft.

Oops, sorry. Didn't realize they were claimed.

I'd like Bills and Chiefs.

If no Chiefs, I'd like Bills and Colts.

OnTheWarpath15 01-30-2011 10:05 PM

Have fun, fellas.

I hate that I have to miss this, but I have complete faith that y'all won't miss a beat with CC and Hamas running the show.

I'll try to poke my head in every once in a while to see how things are going.

With the third pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri.

Mr. Flopnuts 01-31-2011 01:43 AM

I'm in and I'd like the Seahawks again. Other than that, anyone is fine.

KurtCobain 01-31-2011 03:48 AM

Interested.

I really have no preferences this year other than the Lions. I'll take any team......doesnt matter.

blazzin311 01-31-2011 07:44 AM

If there are any teams left open I'd gladly take one if everyone is open to the idea. Sounds like a lot of fun actually.

DaKCMan AP 01-31-2011 09:01 AM

I had to take off last year due to work/travel plans, but if a spot opens up I'm interested in joining again.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 01-31-2011 09:34 AM

I'd be interested in having one team.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 01-31-2011 09:41 AM

What's the point of having two teams again?

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-31-2011 10:02 AM

Two teams=fewer owners=less chance of an individual flaking out and holding up the entire process.

eazyb81 01-31-2011 10:09 AM

Someone can take my spot this year, I will be way too busy with work.

Makes sense. But I wanna see some 09 Piolian drafts, dammit!

chiefscafan 01-31-2011 12:22 PM

Ok I'll try this again

I would like to be in the chiefs planet mock draft

chiefscafan 01-31-2011 12:24 PM

Any team is fine with me I love a challenge

The Franchise 01-31-2011 12:26 PM

Well....its going to be rough getting in this year. Only 2-3 open spots and 8 requests to get in.

chiefscafan 01-31-2011 12:45 PM

What if the last two spots are are split up to four teams

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 01-31-2011 12:52 PM

make the mock draft performance based using draft value projection and +/- differential. Bottom 4 are removed for next year along with people who drop out. Top 15 picks will be safer in that they are less likely to pick a Clausen, but also won't benefit from an Alualu. After that it's all pretty even I'd think.

use the +/- for the first 3 or 4 rounds...or maybe even all of them. Then take that number and divide by number of picks and lowest 4 numbers are out. All undrafted players used in mock would result in negative difference between mock pick and last pick + agreed upon number as penalty (just 1 could work)

plus it'd be funny to look back on and see someone booted who actually made good picks

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-31-2011 04:35 PM

Two teams per owner. We don't need this becoming any more of a PM-cluster**** than it has been in the past.

chiefscafan 01-31-2011 05:37 PM

Ok hammas I'm just putting my name out there I was in it when we originally did it then one year I was. Just out don't know why. I just wanted to get back in it.

I had Detroit last year and wouldn't mind having them again this season. I don't care about the other team, last year I had the Giants.

I'll take San Francisco.

BossChief 01-31-2011 07:28 PM

Question for an addition this year...can we do pick trades if we all agree to stick to the draft value chart (to avoid shenanigans) for trade ups/downs...?
