This thread needs to die.

And this is with my homer hat on a few times. It would be really nice if the Chiefs could go at least 4-2 in the division. That would reeeeaaally help out

Just Passin' By 04-19-2011 05:09 PM

All three of those national games are tough matchups for the Chiefs. I'm not sure the league is doing them any favors.

BossChief 04-19-2011 05:09 PM

Shit.

If the season doesnt start week one and they pick up at the halfway point, we might have a tough 1/2 year.

If they get things figured out and we play the whole preseason and full schedule, we have a chance to get a good start to the year and go from there again...

I really hope they get the CBA figured out so that we hit the ground running.

keg in kc 04-19-2011 05:10 PM

You know, that Donkey game to end the year could have huge implications...

on whether Denver drafts 1 or 2 in 2012.

Ebolapox 04-19-2011 05:12 PM

optimistically, I see a 10-6 win season (that's assuming we get some WR help, a legit nose tackle, cassel turns into a legit qb, and the young talent we have on defense plays up to snuff).

if everything goes to shit, 4-12.

KcMizzou 04-19-2011 05:16 PM

Would could and improve and go 8-8 with this schedule. I expect 8-8 or hopefully 9-7.

Frazod 04-19-2011 05:16 PM

Sweet. I'll get to go to the game at Soldier Field.

DTLB58 04-19-2011 05:17 PM

Well, a couple of things, I like how things are spread out, we don't have 3 straight road games at any time, but we do have 3 consecutive home games.

We start off with some fairly easy games, I hope, Bye, isn't ideal (week 8) but not the worst in week 6.

Three primetime games means we made some noise last year, we just gotta win those games while everyone is watching. :thumb:

Thats just what we need Denver with another stud Stanford QB to haunt us for the next 15 years.

Jesus. I am getting so sick of that ugly ass dome.

chefsos 04-19-2011 05:18 PM

In looking at that schedule, I don't see a whole lot to bitch about. 3 straight home games in November, bye between the trips to Indy and Oakland, SNF after MNF lengthens the short week somewhat. Some nice stuff in there IMO.

The SNF game is at home, too... so that means we dont waste a day of practice traveling.

Okie_Apparition 04-19-2011 05:21 PM

We have the offseason to get smacked down by the Bills. Not likely & if so there is no way they can be as obnoxious as the JET fans were. Then again it was worth it cause that's the year the Chiefs stumped a muddlehole in Herm's ass opening day. HA

MMXcalibur 04-19-2011 05:21 PM

Deploying on Oct. 19th...so I guess my choices of home games will be either the Bills or the Vikings. Considering I saw last year's Bills/Chiefs matchup, this kind of narrows it down for me.

See ya in Week 4 :)

Titty Meat 04-19-2011 05:26 PM

I said 4-12 but looking at this schedule we could start off 3-1 which would be great for us. I'll say we go 8-8.

MMXcalibur 04-19-2011 05:29 PM

Not bad for KC from a primetime perspective: Chiefs play the Patriots and Chargers on Monday Night, Steelers on Sunday Night (even throw in the Chiefs/Bucs preseason game if you want to).

Can't ask for much more given Kansas City's attractiveness to a national audience.

007 04-19-2011 05:32 PM

We will be flexed out of the SNF game

Probably. Chances increase to 125% if there's an NFC East team playing during that week.

TRR 04-19-2011 05:41 PM

You never know how tough or how easy a schedule will be. Injuries are a huge factor in teams completely derailing during the year. Also, I'm sure just about every team on KC's scheduled counted that game as a win last year until midseason....then the KC game didn't look as pleasing.

I don't think there's a chance in hell they flex the Chiefs out with the Steelers on. The Steelers are a huge national draw.

tboss27 04-19-2011 05:46 PM

3 primetime games, 2 ar Arrowhead. Weeks 11-15 are awful in terms of opponents, but overall couldn't have asked for a better schedule.

AS tough as this schedule looks, we have to remember that the rest of the division isn't getting a free pass either.

Why do people think we will get flexed out of the Steelers game? It's the Steelers Rothleshambeerger is hot $$$$ for NFL. Any thing he does is haled or scrutinized for ratings.

I would freaking hope so that's only 62.5 yards a game on a 16 game schedule. He can get that on one run.
