Best Retread QB Ever?

Spinoff thread. Of all Chiefs retread Qb's who you got??

Cassell
Grbac
Gannon
Deberg
Bono
Green

Not including Montana in this poll, as I don't feel he was a retread. These 6 guys were the best of trying to plug a peg into a round hole.

I don't know how to do a poll. Maybe one of the mods can help me out. If repost, bite me. If I should just drink antifreeze while falling out of an aids tree, so be it.

Know that I am going to get flamed for this, but think CP's pick is TG, but think when all is said and done Cassell will get the job done.

Flame Away!!!

boogblaster 04-27-2011 08:31 PM

Deberg

CHENZ A! 04-27-2011 08:38 PM

It's a toss up between Green and DeBerg in my opinion.

No ****ing way it's Gannon, the guy only started like 7 games for us.

Chief3188 04-27-2011 08:40 PM

Green in terms of production but Deberg in terms of of just being one tough sob.

milkman 04-27-2011 08:41 PM

If you put Cassel and Grbac into the conversation, then Dawson goes into it as well, and he is the best, by far, and there shouldn't even be a debate.

Rain Man 04-27-2011 08:42 PM

green by a mile.

krieg should be an option in the poll too.

Poll fail on my part. I am not old enough to remember Len Dawson. And also forgot about Dave Krieg. Disregard my post and give me 10 lashes. Sorry.

I thought I had finally come up with a good post. Carry on.

Thread was a good idea.

Simply make it who was the best all-time after Dawson?

Where did we get Dawson from?? In the form of a trade or as a free agent. Sorry for my ignorance. I know he was a great QB.

He was a street free agent after spending 5 years as a back up in Pittsburg and Cleveland.

Dayze 04-27-2011 09:05 PM

Green

Marcellus 04-27-2011 09:08 PM

Keanu Reeves.

He would definitely qualify. Sorry for my ignorance. I started listening to the Chiefs in the early 80's, as a child on Sundary afternoons while my parents were taking a sunday nap, or that is what they said they were doing. HA HA! Also, sorry for my ignorance on this board. I have a lot to learn. Still think I love the Chiefs as much as you do!!

RealSNR 04-27-2011 09:10 PM

Trent Green

This.

But I'd say Green was better.

I don't question anyone's fandom.

In this order (from your list. I noticed you did not include the very best, Lenny the Cool):

1- Green
2- Deberg
3- Gannon
4- Cassel
5- (Nobody)
6- Bono
7- (Nobody)
8- (Nobody)
9- (Nobody)
10- Grbac

Correct on both counts. So was Lenny Dawson. This list is very incomplete.

1- Green
2- Deberg
3- Jaworski
4- Gannon
5- Cassel (Rooting for him to climb up the list dramatically)
6- Kenney
7- Bono
8- (Nobody)
9- (Nobody)

Matt Cassel.

Oh, sorry, I thought you said best reeruned QB ever.

Easy 6 04-28-2011 01:16 PM

If Trent Green had had a decent defense behind him, KC would have its second Lombardi trophy.

No brainer.

I'm still at a loss how DV devalued the D so much. It bugs me to no end.

He must've thought he could score his way to the top, definitely an unforgivable mistake for a guy that'd been around the league as long as he was.

What a terrible waste of that offense.

frankotank 04-28-2011 02:08 PM

I grew up in the UP of Michigan before landing in KC so I am a huge Michigan fan. Grbac is an embarrassment. I wish he'd have gone to OH St. Why is he even on the list?

vailpass 04-28-2011 02:09 PM

Montana.

FishingRod 04-28-2011 02:20 PM

Dave Kreig was better than several of these.
