To put this into percpective, I live in sw Florida and rarely which I can't emphisize enough I rarely see anything KC. Miami, Tampa NY, Boston - yeah, KC - No Coming home from work and stop to pic up some beer for wing night. I walk into the liquor store and low and behold a worn looking number 29 Chiefs jersey and I immediatley thought thougt while odd it's cool this old boy has already plumb wore out his Berry jersey till I caught the back - HILL I said the real deal? You've got to be kidding. He went on to say "yeah he was a great player but didn't live upto his potential. He went on to say that he's now a Raider fan. At this point I'm pretty confussed. So now here's Chiefs traitor to Raider wearing a Greg Hill jersey in SFL. I ask him if he's a Raider why the Chief jersey and before he could slobber out the reasoning behind that it was some sort of "pay back" the cashier at the liquor store said "come he's a drunk idiot, next". I'm sitting here drinking the beer and just perplexed in how all that went down and why I wasted maybe 3-6 minutes of my life- The real deal I just felt that I should probably share this with youall. |

I asked if I could take the photo and he said Ok but not of his face" I just couldn't help but laugh. He was cool with it when I told him I wanted the name on the back.

Kind of slow around here, thought I'd waste a little of your time as well, that's all.
Take it easy MM, you seem to get a little worked up at times. |

But that doesn't change anything. |
My first jersey when I was younger was a Greg Hill jersey. That's all they sold at the JCPenneys in the small town of South Dakota that I grew up in.
About 6 months ago my Mom came over to our house and brought that exact same jersey over. Apparently they still had it in a closet and didn't realize it. |

At least it wasn't a Mike Cloud jersey.

Off season FTW!

about 12-13 years ago, i was at the old Blue Ridge Mall in kc. i saw a guy wearing an AUTHENTIC Jeff Hostetler #15 CHIEFS jersey. i always wish i would have gone up and asked what the hell was going on with that jersey. i don't ever remember him being rumored to come to kc and he's not from kc, so i have no idea what that was about. maybe wishful thinking by a die-hard hostetler fan? btw, i bet whitlock has an authentic jeff george chiefs jersey that he sleeps in every night.

Ah, good ole Greg Hill. Did all the heavy lifting for a few years, only to allow old ass Marcus Allen to find the end zone. I think he averaged a little over 4 yards per carry in his time here, but he was never really given much of a chance. Marty and Carl were too intent on allowing MA to set records that would be broken a few years later.
|
Too bad he didn't get to hang around for the Vermeil years. Hill probably would have torn shit up.

Damn I hate the off season...:banghead:
