Its ok, I doubt you even looked much since its been 5 whole minutes since the OP.

Like I said, some of them are pretty funny, like today's I think is funny....I'm just trying to help a friend..You on the other hand make a douche comment after looking at MAYBE 2-3 of them?

No, I looked at maybe 15 of them. Go back and find the one I posted. I understand that you're helping a friend, but you need to understand that if you put it on here you're going to get a critique. And I'm pretty sure that my comment wasn't a "douche comment".

The comment in and of itself wasnt, but your less than 5 minute from my post to when you posted and you saying you are not impressed is douchey.

To each their own, some are funny some aren't but you generally can't accurately judge an entire collection of things in less than 5 minutes...

They're comics, not novels. They are meant to be digested quickly.

Ok sure so in under 5 minutes you read my post, went to his website,looked at and read enough to come to the conclusion that you're not impressed, came back here and made your post and hit submit..Fine..

Better than the original, definitely. But it's not as good as when you take the day's Marmaduke and apply its caption to the day's Family Circus.

It's nice to support your friends. But if you unleash their work into public, especially into a crowd as rough as this one, don't expect everyone to react like he's a toddler trying to do something "big boy" for the first time and give polite fake encouragement if they don't like it. (And don't react like a giant asshat, immediately questioning people's attention spans and calling them "douche" and "small dick", just because people didn't like your friend's comics and didn't jerk off over how awesome they thought they were.)

Personally, I found them about as funny as a starving Ethiopian baby surrounded by vultures. But, hey, I'm sure he has an audience. It may just not be the type of people who post here. "Family Circle" has an audience. "Garfield" has an audience. (I like to call them "reeruns". But, hey, someone's obviously still buying that horrible shit. "Garfield" hasn't been funny in 20 years.) Diffrent strokes for different folks.

He obviously wants to be the "next Gary Larson". For comparison's sake, here's another guy who's doing a half-decent job of it. (And even this guy I find hit-or-miss funny... but he's good enough at it to have his own page-a-day desk calendar, so obviously enough people like him...)

I thought the Corporate CEO joke was quite clever. Most of them made me smile or chuckle but that one really made me laugh:thumb:

I appreciate this stuff, then again I'm an artist so I respect others work.

An old friend of mine draws a comic strip - or at least he used to, not sure if it's still around - called "Doonesbury", but he was just the artist and he worked with some guy in Canada who came up with the story and words. Dude has a great life but I haven't seen him in a few years.
