Suh wants him some "White Cassel"

Said so over the fone on NFL32 just now. The team has been on a "White Castle" burger binge all week according to reports. Cassel is going to be hamburger.

If you want a new QB next season, you want Cassel to live through this one. He needs to lay up 2 more stinkers like ast week. That should do it.

Since game 16 at Arrowhead last year, the Chiefs have scored 24 points. That's a span of 3 games. That's an avg of 8 points per game. That's crap. What's worse, Jamaal Charles carried the ball into the end zone for 14 of those 24 points leaving Matt Cassel with 10 points in the balance.

I hope Weigmann pulls something out his ass. The good news is Suh will most often line up 3tek over Asamoah, who is young, but at least physically able.

The Franchise 09-14-2011 04:50 PM

Team Wants to eat White Cassel eh? Better than Black Charles i guess. Still sounds gross to me.

This is going to be the game where we finally realize, beyond a shadow of a doubt, we're being led by incompetent buffoons and the franchise needs an enema.

I wouldn't say I want this to the O-Line, but it will be hilarious to see that Cassel will be proven more and more as a complete fraud.

Apparently people are cheering for Cassel to get injured and then Palko to get injured. I guess they think that Stanzi is ready to go as a rookie.

When was I ever on Cassel's bandwagon?

At the end of last season I avoided criticizing him because I said he had earned a reprieve based on massive improvement.

Right now it would appear that improvement was a mirage.

It's a pretty pathetic train of thought if you ask me. Go Chiefs has the right idea in post 16. Even so, I can never root for an injury or a loss for this team. A bad season should pull the plug on the Cassel experiment once and for all though.

Hilarious Cassel quote:

Quote:

Q: You said guys were correcting stuff from the Buffalo game. Do you think those things were things that are easily correctible and it will be easier to get this thing on track with where you want to be?

CASSEL: “I think everything’s correctible. Obviously there are a lot of things we looked at in multiple phases of the game that we need to get better at. Number one overall, we just have to play with great effort for four quarters. Not to say that we didn’t, but at times I think that for whatever reason it looked like we were lackadaisical and we can’t do that. We have to be a team that goes out there every play and every time they turn on the film they see us just running around the field with our heads cut off.”

as far as i'm concern, this is the final season for Haley as an OC and Cassel.

If things don't turn around then Cassel is gone and Haley hires a real OC to run the offense.

I hope they both turn into Hall of famers, but i haven't seen anything from either to suggest it.

The problem to me is this.

We have games this season against some of the best pass rushing teams in the league, starting this week against the Lions.

This O-Line isn't as bad as some try to paint it, but neither is it good, and they will feel like Andy DuFreyne(sp) after each encounter with the prisoners that abused him.

When the season comes to an end, the excuses for Cassel's poor performances will be readily available, and virtually inarguable.

This is not going to end well.

I've said it plenty of times before....but if Cassel fails....they'll ultimately blame it on the pass protection and that will be their excuse to draft an OT in the 1st round.

BigMeatballDave 09-14-2011 05:58 PM

I'd love to read Pioli's thoughts on Cassel. He saw, first hand, Tom Brady lead them to 3 SB wins. He's got to know by now Matt is not cutting it.

Whisenhunt set the offense up and Haley didn't start calling plays until midseason. Even then he had a QB they had already won a super bowl and had the league's best WR. How difficult do you think calling plays in that situation was?

As a Chief ...

1st year - Haley was HC and OC. Offense was a disaster, play calling was conservative and ugly as hell.

2nd year - Weis took over OC. Cassel was productive and the offense led the league in rushing. Cassel was 8th in the league for QB(going by memory)

3rd year - Haley/Muir/Zorn as OC . Entire team was ass but the offense looks remarkably like it did Haley's 1st year.

Now the 3rd year is still waaaaaaaaaaaay too early to make conclusions about. Imo this is Haley's final year as OC if the offense stays a mess. We need an offense coordinator that doesn't need Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald to run a competent offense.

Haley can stay as HC and go around yelling at people and be the bad guy around camp while our OC and Crennel actually install the schemes.

Our QB through all this has been Matt ****ing Cassel. Haley likes to operate an aggressive O. It's dumbed down for Matt. Haley's skills as a HC may be questionable, but I think he's fine as an OC. A QB would solve everything.

I agree. Weiss built a very safe, extremely conservative plan for Cassel with short passes. Sometimes I think Haley doesn't really WANT him to succeed and tries to set him up for longer passes. I think Haley could be good with a QB that could actually throw the ball with any success.

Weiss turned Cassel into check-down Cassel and he doesn't have the skillset to get it downfield anyway.

GloryDayz 09-14-2011 07:00 PM

Some days the people getting paid to play for this team make it hard to be a Chiefs fan... I'm really not sure I care how we play this Sunday. I think we're a few years behind the Lions, so maybe we'd fianlly be best served by going 0-16. It might make Hunt think about replacing the golfer, and we'd get the #1 pick. That might be all we can hope for this season. Ugh!!! Then "Pee"oli might just trade the #1 for some scrub the Pats pay him to off-load from their roster...

Bump 09-14-2011 07:31 PM

what if a black player's last name was Sabbath and a white player said "this Sunday, I am gonna ROCK Black Sabbath!"

it would be considered the most racist comment ever and he would be suspended, fined and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be all up in arms over it.

that is actually a good point. He needs to play himself off the field, which he should have already done. But Pioli obviously isn't willing to admit he was wrong yet. This will be a good test for Pioli as well, if Pioli is like one of those guys and Cassel is still starting 3 years from now with nothing to show for it then Pioli will need to get his ass out.

You crack me up...

He's consistent.

He should just copy and paste and save himself some keystrokes.

This will be a good test for Pioli as well, if Pioli is like one of those guys and Cassel is still starting 3 years from now with nothing to show for it then Pioli will need to get his ass out.

Forget 3 years. May mercy fall on us that its nothing more than this one. This is the year for Pioli. If he can't admit his mistake this offseason I don't think there is much hope. I like the direction we have taken, despite the draft mistakes. There is no excuse for him to not give Stanzi a chance later this season, or at the VERY least, fix his mistake this offseason.

You are nothing but an ass kissing homer.

Fans like you are the reason Clark Hunt gets a virtual free pass in KC, overseeing a franchise that has gone nearly 20 years without a playoff win.

I should be embarrased? WTF, you really are moronic...

A fan like me has zero to do with with Clark Hunt does with this team. Let me tell you why.

I live 7+ hours from the Stadium, I do not have season Tickets, I rarely purchase new Chiefs merchandise, nor do I support this team in any other financial way other than NFLST.

So tell me oh Messiah of the Ball Washers, How do I give Clark Hunt a virtual free pass?

Just because I dont agree with fans wishing, praying and wanting Cassel hurt so he can play again for the Chiefs in 2012... How is that giving Hunt a free pass?

Please explain.

How many franchises bench someone just to give a 5th round pick a chance?

Especially at QB? And yes, we know, Cassel sucks, no need to rehash...

I cant think of any.....

I'm never going to root for my team to get their teeth kicked in. But I would hate for Cassel to throw 30 TDs in a meaningless 4-12 season, thus suffering another year of his shit.

well maybe not......but how many have a qb as stinky as Cassel?...he is performing like a 7th rounder...so having a 5th rounder replace him is perfect good sense..yes?:harumph:

Hell people are rooting for him to get hurt so they can ensure he is here another year... Cant get much worse than that...

The question wasnt about Cassel...

I'm pretty sure if the QB of this team threw 30 TD's this season, the Chiefs would do better than 4 - 12. More like 8 - 8. This defense played like garbage last weekend, but they are better than that even without Berry. They had zero fight up front. Romeo put his boot up their ass monday. ****ing queers. DJ & Dorsey need to get married and have fat reeruned siamese dickless hermaphrodite kids together.
