Tony Sparano

Appears to be on his way out from Miami. Look for Sparano to join the Chiefs coaching staff. He's an OL guy and would likely replace Muir as OC or perhaps replace Muir's duties completely as OL coach and OC. He's a fit here with Haley and Pioli.

DaKCMan AP 09-25-2011 10:37 AM

kthanks

O.city 09-25-2011 10:38 AM

Anything to get rid of Muir as an OL coach.

BossChief 09-25-2011 10:38 AM

OL coach, sure.

OC? **** you and everyone that looks like you

Buehler445 09-25-2011 10:39 AM

Let's do it.

I'm glad you think that.

Ya finally got tired of coalition posters clowning you, eh?

BTW, stop acting like you aren't a Baltimore fan.

Okie_Apparition 09-25-2011 10:51 AM

I hope he gets all the stars that own part interest in that pile of steaming shit to sign a Dolphin shirt. Before he leaves that place that treated him like a mangy cur

Hammock Parties 09-25-2011 10:55 AM

Haley is not going to be here, idiots.

Bane 09-25-2011 10:59 AM

Who?

The Bad Guy 09-25-2011 11:01 AM

Tony is not coming here to call an offense in the middle of the ****ing season. Get real.

We'll find out soon whether your rumors are true or whether you and your buddies engineered a clever well traveled story from your awesome tree fort. I think the telling move will occur when Haley benches Cassel.

Haley will coach the chiefs in 2012

Ace Gunner 09-25-2011 11:05 AM

IF Miami cuts ties mid season, he'll sit - because no NFL team will pull the trigger on a coach mid season. I kind of figured fans would know that.

Let's not pretend that it isn't up in the air. He would have to get an extension.

Fans like to say this, but there are way too many games left - too many opps for this team to win and save face. I think the team is playing hard for Haley, he hasn't lost them. I think it's too early in this season to assume this.

If Haley is fired mid season, I wonder how Clark Hunt feels about paying him about 4 million dollars this and next year.....while having already spent 47 million dollars on Tyson Jackson so far (he has about 10 left in his deal that totaled 57 million with 31 guaranteed)...while also already shelling out 41 million over 3 years for Matt Cassel (and 21.75 million left in the final 3 years)

If We have to start with a new QB, HC and likely get someone to play Jacksons position as well going forward...

92 million dollars

well, I mean next off season. NFL teams don't ever hire coaches during the season.

and this is why we are more likely to see Pioli get canned before Haley, who would likely follow once the new GM comes in. But I'd put a $1,000 against yours it won't happen this season or off season.

Good news. Players typically play harder for interim guys.

FloridaMan88 10-03-2011 07:46 AM

One Carl Peterson is close with the owner in Miami...

That's pretty stupid.

JD10367 10-03-2011 11:07 AM

I think Sparano's getting a raw deal. The Fins actually looked pretty good in week one against the Pats. They lost by a respectable 10 to Houston at home and San Diego on the road; if anyone thinks the Dolphins, under any other coach, are better than 10 points worse than those teams, they're on crack. And they lost by 1 to Cleveland. They are what they are, and I don't think a different coach suddenly makes them any better (just as I don't necessarily think another coach makes the Chiefs any better, or will make the Red Sox any better).

MahiMike 10-03-2011 11:20 AM

I also hear King Carl is in the running to be their next GM. My Dolphins friends are in trouble.

King Carl would draft him, then piss his agent off so bad that Luck would go to the CFL...

Fritz88 10-03-2011 12:50 PM

Tony could very well come here. He's passive and will get ****ed over by his GM and owner and take it like a champ.

Pioli material.

If Pioli gets canned, Haley is next. Coaches almost never survive a new GM being named.

I would agree with that.

Sparano has basically been a dead man walking since Ross kept him after he went after Harbaugh.

But the Dolphins are something like 1-12 in their last 13 games at home. The Patriots and Texans have more wins in Miami during that time than the 'Fins do.

gblowfish 10-03-2011 03:04 PM

Pioli isn't going anywhere.
